Am I the only one who feels like his parents are already senile at age 50? I live in one of the most isolated parts of Ankara and I have epilepsy. I'm not allowed to get a license and the nearest bus station is two kilometers away, which I can only access when kangal packs aren't blocking my path. Even if I could use public transportation, all sorts of transportation greatly increase my chances of having a seizure and there are Syrian pickpocketers around just about anything that uses a rail system. I'm saying all of this to clarify how limited my options are in some areas so I don't look like a sloth who relies on other people. My electric razor stopped functioning two days ago so I asked my parents to return it and, if possible, get a new one. My dad has normal razors but somehow every razor he uses smells like death. I told them that I tried everything and did my best to clear any doubt that they had as always. I asked my mom what I can use to shave a few hours ago and she just told me that my dad charged my razor. I explained to both of them, in detail, how it didn't work even after I charged it, cleaned it, used my magnifying glasses to see the condition of the blades, simply shook it, read through its manual and finally let it go. I asked my father where the razor was. He told me that he placed it back in its box even though it seemed to work. I tried to use it and it didn't shave a single strand of hair on my face. He told me that I wasn't using it right even though I never ran into an issue while shaving it my way. And it obviously didn't work when I tried using it the way he insturcted me to do so. When I asked him what the fuck they were doing during the whole weekend he got mad at me and said they wouldn't give us a new one either way. I already knew that and he knows I did plan accordingly knowing that they wouldn't give me a new one which is why I asked them to get a new one. More on next comment.

I felt that way about my dad, who passed away 2 years ago suddenly at the age of 57, and I still feel that way about my mom.But my biggest problem is, they have been doing it to themselves for the past decade or more. They’re drug addicts, and abusing benzos, and my mother has been drinking more than ever since my fathers passing, so she’s quite literally damaging her brain to the point where she is going to be prematurely senile, and there’s already a noticeable difference in her now vs when she was younger. She’s 56. I love them dearly, and they started out doing very well for us for the first little over a decade of our lives, but they let everything go to hell with the drug addiction.I live in southwestern US. So basically atleast try to enjoy the time you have with them, and don’t let their premature senility upset you too much, save that grief for when they’re gone. Actually, it’s okay to let yourself feel the grief in the moment too, but maybe not in front of them.
I told him that I won't leave our house until I could shave. He just mocked me in the most angry way he can as always. After situations like these, he pretends to be busy, walks around aimlessly and does everything he may or may not have to do in a brutish manner until someone else also gets angry. It works on my mother and my sister most of the time but I can say with full certainty that it never worked on me. Also, I noticed that they reach their limit after my father starts to loudly open and close cupboards. Some things that they do are beyond predictable but that doesnt mean theyre not effective in some occasions. And in this case I remembered that I can't trust them with something like this and I have to monitor and pressure them as much as possible. I could've seen that coming but I failed. I don't know who is more guilty in this situation, considering that my mother probably knew that my father would "try" to fix it and do nothing. She's planning on divorcing him after we move to our next house for a reason. FUCK ALL OF THIS IM DONE PRETENDING TO BE COMPOSED MY MOM AND DAD HAVENT FORMED A THOUGHT SINCE THE YEAR 2019 AND I DONT NEED TO ACT LIKE THIS SITUATION IS COMPLICATED THEY ARE FUCKING ANTS THEY PULL THE SAME SHIT AND ACT LIKE THEY HAVE OTHER REASONS TO BE MISERABLE ON REPEAT ALL THE TIME THEY ARE FUCKING UNCONSCIOUS THEYRE SO OUT OF IT THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY ACT LIKE THIS THEY SAY THAT THEY LOVE ME IF THEY WERE LOBOTOMIZED YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE IM SURE THAT THEY DONT EVEN HAVE THE CAPACITY TO JUSTIFY EVEN THE MOST SIMPLE ACTIONS IN THEIR LIFE HOW IS MY DAD RUNNING A CORPORATION HOW THE FUCK DID BOTH OF MY GRANDFATHERS SPAWN CREATURES LIKE THEM
I'm new to 4chan so I don't know which way is the best way to reply to other anons in a direct way, but I don't think that I'll need to do much to make sure this reaches the right person in a post as new as this one. Thank you for somehow giving me the best advice on something I couldn't even follow up with a question good enough to help me through this. I actually wanted to ask how I could muster more strength to avoid detaching myself from all interactions everywhere. And that's why I'm here making my first post on this website. All of my friends left me behind after I couldn't keep up with them as they started enjoying all parts of adult life that I can't indulge in. I've never used any social media platform and I'm also a social reject in my current life filled with fellow university students who are much less interested in higher education to a point where they cast me out for actively attending classes instead of shutting up and waiting for them to end. I just had no one to ask and nowhere to go. Your comment is probably more fruitful than anything I could've directly asked for. Thanks again.
