Hi /an/. My doggo was just hit by a car before my eyes after he slipped from the leash. He died a minute later in my hands.

Pic related was him.

Please hug me :(

He was a good friend.

My dog was ran over when I was 3. All I remember is trying to comfort my crying mother by saying that I'd buy a gun and shoot the gas tank of dude's truck when I grew up.
>>
No worries OP, all dogs go to doggo heaven

I'm realy sorry anon.

Sorry for your loss OP.

I hope no heartless anons come along claiming it was your fault for not having the collar adjusted properly, or that your failure to train him to not stray from your side ultimately resulted in his death.

That would be pretty fucked up if someone told you that

He died a loved dog, and you gave him a wonderful life. Things unfortunately happen in life, like this, and it's up to you to eventually find peace.

accidents can happen even to people who are really careful.

While I sympathise with OP, a dog slipping out of a collar is not an accident. A collar snapping is an accident, slipping out implies the dog struggled, therefore was not trained to walk properly. If the dog was known for freaking out on walks, it should have been on a harness.

It is always painful when such a noble animal dies.
