For rule of cool or inner barrel extension only. But since it has threads, what suppressor would look best on a deagle?

Alright guys, last chance. You want to go to a Milsim West game with the very first full platoon for 4channers by 4channers, this is your last chance to join in. Tickets will close by the end of the week and the platoon is almost set in stone. There's free patches and memes, camaraderie, kit ranging from shitball to gucci, and an unstoppable hype train based on how high our preparedness and planning levels are.

Caspian Breakout is going to be on October 20-22 at the GTI JOC facility in Barnwell, SC, the former nuclear fuel facility and the site of events such as AMS's Faded Giant series. The whole of the facility, including the immediate woods surrounding the main buildings, is open for play. If you think you can get the time off but you're not sure about logistics, or if you can figure the whole thing out on your own, join the OG discord (http://discord.me/asg) and inquire within.

Three more weeks left until the event. It's almost time.

AEG? no
BASR? yes.

Does this count as a suppressor? Had to take the foam out of mine, it ended up blocking the barrel and I'm still not sure how.

>>
>>3217341
AEGs make noise on their own, but the main noise someone being shot at hears comes from the piston and air coming out the barrel. If you suppress that noise, all they're going to hear is a distant noise of an AEG being fired, if they hear anything at all. Since the noise isn't directed at them, the directional noise isn't as clear. You can honestly get the same effect from a heavy inner barrel and a well padded cylinder head, but if you don't have either of those things off hand, a foam filled suppressor does the job as well.

Militia, so RUSFOR, but it's more flexible in terms of kit and weapon. There are some thematic requirements in platoon per squad, but it's not extraneous, and every squad has some room in it.

All this talk about pistols makes me curious; why aren't AEPs more popular in America? Purely from the standpoint of things like TMs MP7 and VZ 61?
>>
>>3219168
They're woefully under powered, low ROF and poor trigger response, have tiny batteries, and lack of even basic aftermarket replacement parts. I think AEPs would make for great alternatives in the Northern states, but I don't think the benefit outweighs everything else.

Precision Inner barrels are a glorified meme full of snake oil and they're hardly ever worth the cost unless your current one is bent or wrong size. Wash and polish your current one. You need a hop up bucking. Hop up is what makes guns accurate. Nubs are easy to DIY.
For gearbox you'll want a mosfet, piston, piston head, nozzle, teflon tape, shim set, silicon grease and couple faucet washers.
Stock motors rarely break although they are often awful.
Stock XYT gears are generally fine for CQB guns unless you want higher rof or better trigger response.

For gearbox internals, buy SHS. G&G, Madbul and Prometheus buckings are okay. Mosfets aren't rocket science. You can DIY one for 5€> or you can buy one for 10-20€.
>>
>>3220255
If by precision barrels you mean tightbores I'm calling bullshit on that meme accusation.
>>
>>3219760
Hop up is the absolute must for consistency. If you want more range you can get heavier bbs in exchange of slightly lower fps but its worth it if you play in open field.

Go try it. Clean your barrel, polish it and compare it to your 60€< Prometheus barrel. The difference will be negligible and hardly worth it's cost.
Air seal parts cost maybe 20€ in total and make up the most of your accuracy. An expensive barrel won't help one bit if the gun is leaking or the bucking is of low quality. It should be one of the last parts to upgrade once everything else is set perfectly.

It's a meme because retards keep recommending newbies to buy 100€ EdGI barrels for their combat machines before anything else as if it magically solved their inconsistent air seal issues that render hop up adjustment impossible.
>>
>>3220781
I bought a cheap ass Angel custom "meme" 6.01 tightbore and it increased fps by 10 to 340 with .28s, improved fps consistency to be within 5 fps in difference with each shot and brought my groupings at 150 in by about 1-2 inches from what they were before. It also fits in the barrel a lot more snugly than the brass factory barrel, which means less sway and accuracy issues at extreme range. 20 bucks, 17 euros. Granted, a 5 dollar flat hop job I did afterwards improved range and accuracy even more than the barrel, but the barrel did help as an extra thing to do. Aftermarket barrels not memes but I agree that people recommending that someone drops a prommy in their CM040 or combat machine is just asinine when a flat hop is more cost effective.

need you help

About a month ago I bought a BB replica beretta apx.
It worked fine, but I didn't use it for two weeks than when I did it didn't work. I tried a ram rod but nothing. No c02 exits the muzzle and no BBs chamber. All the air exits out the slide. Any ideas? I'm stumped...pic related
>>
>>3221599
I normally know gas guns, but BB guns are kind of out of my area of expertise. Does the slide move forward at all?
>>
>>3221608
It has full blowback. And it locks after last shot
>>
>>3221599
Do BB's chamber if you manually rack the slide? Sounds like it could potentially be an air seal problem, but in airsoft if there is an issue the rounds will still feed through the mechanism.
>>
>>3223062
It's a double action trigger. The slide is just for looks
>>
>>3224563
So none of the mechanism for chambering a bb is attached to the slide? Sounds like it could be the chamber having an issue with the gas coming out from the slide being maybe the bb being stuck or not fully chambering and thus the gas just flushes out behind it

Anybody else here a fan of old slavshit guns / loadouts?

I'm thinking of getting a WinGun Nagant M1895 revolver. Allows for a very diverse selection of loadouts and impressions. The only problem with it is how hot it shoots (+450fps) and no hopup. Any reviews on this?

Opinions on the Cyclone grenade?
>>
>>3228754
Depends. Does your local field require bbs to come out for it to count, or is it a radius/room rule no matter if it's a bb-expelling grenade or a noisemaker? If the former, then it's definitely the best bang for your buck. There are ways to fix the issues they have in terms of performance.

If it's the latter, I actually prefer the XL Burst sound grenade instead. This way you're not wasting BBs and it's smaller, more reliable in function, and made of tougher stuff. It's also better than standard thunder-Bs since you're not wasting a CO2 cartridge with every toss and more reliable to boot.
>>
>>3228784
I heard the cyclone breaks easily, is it true? (Note: I do not intend to throw it across the field like I was in the MLB)

I'm afraid the little orange membranes will break/get lost on the Burst. Does that happen often?

On sound grenades I actually like the Kimera. It looks really easy to arm.
>>
>>3228899
I've heard of the cyclone breaking under light usage, but mostly those are maintenance related rather than anything the throw does. The orange membranes on the burst are meant to be broken/lost when the grenade goes off, but I've never had it happen before it was armed. The Kimera looks neat, but really I'd be more considerate of potentially losing the bottom half of the thing. Not to shill, you buy what works for you. I've just had some good experiences with the burst and feel comfortable recommending it.
>>
>>3228919
You can actually tie both ends of the grenade so that when it splits open you don't lose them.

I don't know. The Burst looks pretty cool, but at the same time I don't want to have to replace the membranes constantly. I don't want to be thinking 'Well that throw cost me two bucks and it didn't get anyone'
>>
>>3228964
Disks come in the resupply kit, which also includes spare pins. Those cost $15 a piece and come with 60 disks. Even if you do the 2-disk thing, you'll still end up with 30 rounds, so about $0.50 a throw, which is around the cost of stuffing a Cyclone with bbs.

But again, up to you. I just don't have any experience with the kimera to tell you.

Their pistons are cheese with awful aoe. Axles in their spur gears tend to snap. Their bevel gear only has 2 tabs for ARL. Shit's not cheap, but yeah, if you really want you can get a black Altyn, some SSO, Slavyanka, or VOIN multicammies, and for the love of God, don't get a repro D2. Get in on some FB sellers and gear groups and build your kit from actually issued shit.

I don't even care if the Beslan meme is dead and RR has moved onto to newer stuff; 1st Chechen to Beslan era stuff will always be great to me.

It doesn't matter what it looks like if it works well. This thing chronos at ~500 ft/s with a 2g projectile.

Does everyone always upgrade their rifles?

I mean if I spend a good amount of money on a rifle, shouldn't it be good and ready to go out of the box?
>>
>>3231944
Pretty much everyone who will stay in the sport will most likely upgrade their guns. Many guns are pretty good out of the box but some people want to push their guns performance beyond that.

tl;dr
It's good, but people want more performance.
>>
>>3231944
Yeah, plenty of AEGs can be left completely stock and they will perform excellently out of the box. Frankly a CYMA AK or G&G M4 will perform plenty well enough for 90% of situations. This is especially true for brands like krytac, G&P, Tokyo marui, ICS, etc. People tech on their guns to make them more unique, but in all honesty most guns perform adequately stock regardless of price tag.
>>
>>3231983
The best bang for your buck upgrade is increasing rate of fire which is either lipos or better motors. It can make a basic Cyma into a fairly formidable platform that can keep up with most 300 dollar guns at ranges below 150 feet.

I haven't put it on a scale, but it should be about 30 pounds. It should weigh more when I make a magazine for it.

Now that I think about it, you're that dude who was trying to build an airsoft Lahti, aren't you?

Yes, it is done so I could build something else next. However I haven't sold all of the other guns I've made yet so I'm kind of hesitant to make more.

I know a lot of people who bought a budget gun and then decided to buy a high end gun with internals on par with an upgraded gun.

any leafs out there own the g&g gc7a1?
>>
is VFC really that bad/unreliable?

going through them is basically the only way I can get a SCAR rifle.
>>
>>3236927
Your only real two choices are either getting a VFC with god tier externals and shit internals, or a Dboys/Echo1 model with shit externals and shit to decent internals.
Either one will be a good rifle once you unfuck their shortcomings, it's just a matter of how much that nicer body is worth to you.
>>
>>3236930
i guess i'll pass since im looking for a rifle thats good out of the box
>>
>>3236938
You need to realize that almost every gun out there now is "good out of the box", it's just a matter of how long it takes for the gun to shit the bed and something needs to be replaced.
>>
>>3236941
alright

finding one that's long lasting is probably my highest priority. i understand they all will eventually break down but the longer the lifespan the better.
>>
>>3236964
Why not just learn to fix your shit? There are enough youtube guides out there.
>>

>Why not just learn to fix your shit?

im prepared for that eventuality but id like it if the gun would last a while before i need to

will shell ejecting guns always be impractical?

you'd think that the added realism would be a bigger draw and that they would be more popular
>>
>>3237021
The entire nature of shell ejecting guns is impractical. Actual brass or steel shells still have the satisfying metallic chime when they hit the ground, but are quite expensive for bbwars; whereas aluminum, nylon, or even plastic shells are cheaper (and more disposable in the case of plastic ones), but lack the realistic chime and can have poor feeding.
Not to mention you're going to be that guy holding up the game by going "Hold on guys I have to go scour the field for my $200 worth of shells". I know they make shell bags too, but at that point you might as well just get a regular gas gun or a Marui ERG since you no longer see the shells flying out of your peripheral.
They're simply novelties and backyard/basement plinkers, are outclassed even by GBBs.
>>
>>3237068
yeah i guess in a game scenario it wouldnt be great

however i do wish they were more available for just goofing around with

Maybe shell ejecting guns aren't as practical as using caseless ammo, but shells can be useful for shotguns.

Anybody got a Wingun M44 Mosin Nagant?

I'm thinking of getting one soon and converting it into a full-size 91/30 using a real 91/30 stock. The other Mosins are apparently shit, and the Wingun M44 is decent as far as I know. Unless there are better options?
How should I go about doing this? The barrel seems pretty short to fit the entire length of the stock.
I never done any airsoft projects before, but this doesn't seem like it needs any special skills besides a dremel/sandpaper and epoxy/glue.

is buying a gun that fits each category (sidearm, smg, shotgun... etc) practical or is it better to stick to 1 or 2 and invest more into them?
>>
>>3238350
In the long run a carbine length AEG is the most practical but if you want to collect go for it
>>
is it just me or do most canadian airsoft retailers have horrible/no return policies?

i take it that its recommended to buy in-store and not online?

i meant exchange if item is defective policies, not return
