Silver has shown some pretty good strength at these levels. If I remember correctly, silver's peak around $50 in 2011 was a short lived blow off top that rapidly flew through the 40s and within a month was back under $40. We've had a nice period of consolidation for people to decide to take profit, so it's looking like we'll probably go test $60 at some point this week. I base this on absolutely nothing, of course.

One of the most insidious things I have ever heard was someone talking about death as waking up someplace quite familiar and that your stay here on earth was the dream.
Although I do believe in a spiritual side of reality, I believe credence can only be given to the afterlife if it allows and assists humanity in conquering the physical and political world. I think we come back to this place and our action or inaction, deeds and misdeeds, determines the world we respawn in. So there is no escape. There is no wonderful afterlife where you can abscond your duties as a living man today and go party up in heaven. Spirituality is what we need to help conquering life's temptations and to make smarter choices and to have courage, vigor, and conviction (this portion of spirituality is refined down to mind over matter, and not allowing dopamine to dominate your actions via addiction)

good post. I believe that at the moment of death, it is as though you live an entire lifetime and you can no longer lie to yourself, or pretend you have lived a good life if you have not. in that moment the evil are tormented by themselves, the hollow find nothing- purgatory, eternal boredom. but the good find peace, the kind of peace you find from being brace, they say the courageous man dies only once but the coward dies a thousand times. which related to:
>not allowing dopamine to dominate your actions via addiction
resisting that builds a kind of mental/emotional strength like nothing else. most people now days are unaware of it. myself included, i've only just started on that path but i can feel the difference.

>most people now days are unaware of it. myself included,
One of the biggest mistakes of my life was playing video games and not realizing that they were addicting. Young people who may not realize what is going on can sit and click a mouse trying to farm all of the EXP and get all of the loot and they'll find out they wasted the best years of their lives. Children can't be expected to notice a dopamine trap, but as parents now we have to teach those lessons of moderation to the youth who now grow up with media and such that are meant to be extremely addicting (and profiting at your expense). We also have to come up with some sort of glue that makes humanity stop having to relearn that same stupid lessons over and over. Those at the top are able to harness human capital and could care less about it besides living a life of luxury. The spiritual man wants to see human potential unleashed. I read the History of Central banking and was astonished to learn that back in the supposed "dark ages", men only had to work 14 weeks out of the year to live their lives. It is the central banking system that not only creates massive amounts of taxation, but that stolen purchasing power puts demand pressure on people who are not actually working to procure those resources. It's stolen, and a massive, horrible burden on the rest of us. The system is not free, and it puts immense pressure on us to endlessly toil our lives in misery and seek short sighted relief just to get by. Ruined family life, miserable education for children who want to learn, consumerist propaganda everywhere you look.
We're stewed in this filth and think it's all normal and it's really not.
To maintain the grift, humanity has to be sabotaged and placated to their lowest common denominator (dopamine hits). It's really sad.

>We've never been better off
This is perfectly exemplified in how the elite talk about the tax cattle. They will say you are never better off in regards to how much stuff you can buy. Shapiro and Charlie Munger are two examples I can think of who think human progress is determined if we have a TV or not. As if this offsets the fact that a working man can not longer afford a family, a house, a lawyer or healthcare of braces for their children.
This was never a situation that we agreed upon. The ruling capitalist elite just do this to us deliberately. They decide we won't have traditional families any more. They decide we won't be a manufacturing hub anymore. They decide we'll be homosexual polyglot. They decide we'll deindustrialize the rust belt and flood it with opioids to help clear out the excess people.
All down the line, the real issues that matter to a nation are decided along class lines of capital vs labor. Realizing that they don't need to ask your permission and there is now no counterbalance that puts us at the negotiating table is where the citizenry need to be intellectually. We have no say. Therefore we have no representation. Revolution of any kind will probably be better than getting milked for the rest of eternity. The dystopian horror that is the melting put will not be a crime against humanity that can be walked back. Humanity will be reduced to rent-2-own stores covered in graffiti and broken windows.
The Protocols talk about how they want to use the insanity of liberalism to break down society and impoverish the people so much that they crawl on all fours to eat from their hand like sick and wounded animals. It's a shame the tax cattle are unable to do anything other than what is imposed on them. Nothing frightens me more than to see humanity so incapable of doing anything other than devolve in to consumerist, cultureless, monkeys. Not even death is a satisfying reprieve because you just come back here. Browner and dumber.

A key part to this is revitalizing community and giving someone the option to partake in projects or goals outside or beyond themselves. I wasted years of my life gooning and gaming but there truly was no other outlet in my neighborhood or social group. I remember being the only person outside jogging in my large suburban neighborhood or trying to get friends to go to the gym with me but everyone was so mindraped from the 9-5 school week most just rotted during their time off.

A systemic change must occur but I fear it will be by force; not by choice.

I'm a lower middle class wagie on the cusp of becoming a millionaire. You're right, becoming rich is easy. The game is played by the wealthy and all you have to do is play along. Invest where the football is going to be thrown and never chase the football. The most important thing to learn is to become self aware that you are in the tax-cattle class. The name of the game is wealth-extaction. This is done through leverage and taking your time and money today and selling you a irredeemable IOU (Treasuries). So you win the game by front-running the fallout from endless IOUs which is physical metals. You also look for things like short squeezes such as Gamestop (you can write covered calls and earn income while also waiting for insane price action caused by shorts closing).
That's all it takes. Don't chase after leveraged assets, don't think you need to pretend to be richer than you are. I can get fired tomorrow and tread water with a part time job indefinitely. Not a bad place to be in. The whole economy can implode and silver will make me a millionaire so I am perfectly hedged.

Leverage is a weapon. It is the means to the end and not the end itself. By making a B-Line for precious metals, you are heading to the exit while the arsonist is lighting the building on fire. Exponential function (debt) will always implode. It is a mathematical fact that even an 8th grader can understand.
I don't even think most millionaires even understand that the wealth they think they own is a function of the U.S. economy taking on a higher growth of debt than actual growth of GDP since 1983. They think the U.S. economy is the greatest freedom/capitalist engine on the planet. It's not.
We simply made the fatal decision to not having savings and literally SPEND every penny we make. The government spends real money on things like the war in Ukraine. So where does it get the money to pay you back plus interest? It's not physically possible and the mechanism behind it is none other than a ponzi.

For every ounce that gets drained from the COMEX, I'll donate money to Bill Gates and his India vaccination program. Bill Gates is a hero bringing in vaccines to the great country of India. Please spread the word and ramp up the availability of vaccines in India for the Indian people by buying silver from the Comex. The more vaccines and Indan takes, the higher their Izzat goes, if they were on their 8th covid booster shot they would have almost infinity Izzat. Please help the Indians max out their Izzat by helping them get vaccinated.
Who knew Bill Gates was super based.

Keep stacking silver. It's that simple.

In general I would say you are at the age you need to stop "focusing on yourself" and find a young woman to build you life with. Growing together as a couple is the most important aspect to a happy life that you can't fake. You can't become a millionaire when you are 35 and think you'll be able to just "catch up" all that lost time.
Procrastination is one of the most insidious vices because life needs to be lived in the present.
The internet is addicting and places like 4chan etc may slowly begin to replace your real-life relationships. Good friendships and familial bonds are worked on and tended to. Not everyone will make an effort so if you want to keep it, make it happen.
Aggressively budget your money. Give up expensive hobbies if they are too much of a drain (I redirected my hobbies into silver). Know where your money is going and make an effort to cut down on your biggest offenders (consumables and vices are the worst).
Learning options. Selling covered calls is the easiest way to make money while also having the protection of commodity resources.
Books to read:
Economics in 1 lesson
Random Walk down Wallstreet (invaluable historical look at investing PRIOR to 1983). Young people desperately need to learn what the markets look like with real interest rates.
The easiest way to make money is via price movement of an asset. Wages are too low on their own, so de-facto, speculation is imperative to success.
That's a start I guess.

Know a gal who talks often about wanting someone well-adjusted. This has increased in recent months. She also works on herself knowing that she has more maturing to do to become a mother. After 13-hour shifts or on days-off she tends to visit the arcade. Perhaps there is a place you'll have success meeting someone. For me, all my confessions came suddenly while I was just talking to girls like any other friend. I guess people appreciated knowing one would still keep talking to them even after one started spending time on one's hobby, rather than simply ending the conversation entirely.

The notion of a "run on the bank" was much more honest back in the 1800s. The usefulness of the central banking system assisting in each other inflating the money supply more evenly did not stop the idea of a
"run". They simply were better equipped to hide it until the dislocation between commodities and IOUs became so apparent the entire globe began scrambling for the exits.
It's going to be an interesting world, where currency will no longer be a wildcard IOU that lets you buy anything you want. It will be enough to pay interest on a 50 year mortgage and a 10 year car loan and buy all the grain-based food and alcohol your belly can hold. Metal? Only the wealthy will have it. This will be true because there is no shortage of dollars, credit, stocks and bonds needing a safer unleveraged home.
Silver is the trade of a lifetime and it is no coincidence that it is a money-metal that has such a ludicrous fundamental valuation needing to be "tamped down".

The U.S. almost had a civil war back in the 60s which is why so much deficit spending began. Hiding the cost of integration and welfare was instrumental in getting the pot of water on the stove set to low so they could start the slow-boil. All of what followed was on the back of the government being used as a piggy bank to finance our own replacement. Once the free-money train stops working there will be little inventive to stop being a realist about what happened to our country. A sweeping bankruptcy and massive swathes of unemployment will leave a lot of people with a bad taste in their mouths. I'm not sure they can find some means of slow-rolling the fiat-fallout when entire nations are panic-buying the tightest commodity sector on the planet.
I think good insight of what is to come can be seen in the price of Rhodium and Palladium. They look like they broke out of the containment fence and went on sidequests and making outstanding gains. These metals' usage in industry is not substantial enough to impoverish the rest of us. We'll feel the revaluation of silver. Banks need to revalue gold at some point and the GSR is going to get crushed and they know it.

and, this is an important one: raise up your brothers, you see someone sad and lonely? ask them what's going on, figure out what are their barriers or things they want but can't get, give them some advice, tell them they CAN get it, maybe that's the only time in their life they've ever been told they CAN do something. you probably can't solve all their problems but a little help can start them on this better path.

Digging into this some more. The rules cited classifying bullion as collectible under 26 USC 408 is for bullion held in IRAs. Outside of an IRA bullion appears to be taxed the same as personal property. So the tax rate for long term gains is likely lower than 28%. Far lower than the 50% cited by our resident brownoid shill IQDELET.

It incurs FICA whether you know it or deny it.

lots of people get busted for not knowing they owe taxes on sales. The instant you sell something you're legally in business whether you register or not
>>
>>61454424
>The instant you sell something you're legally in business whether you register or not
Then you're talking about business income which is taxed differently than capital gains.
>>
>>61454407
the only time you won't incur FICA selling personal property is when you take a loss on the sale.

the IRS will absolutely try to tax you if you make a profit.
They won't generally let you write off a loss however without registering a business.

otherwise every business would just claim to be selling personal property and nobody would owe taxes.

If you personally own bullion (not for resale, not as a business) then § 1221 treats it as a capital asset so the gains are taxed under capital-gain/collectibles rules and is not self-employment, or incurring FICA.
If you operate as a bullion dealer then bullion is inventory / business property so the sale is taxed as ordinary business income.

>>61454472
>this is how they get your buyers to report on you
though if you register a business they don't need buyers to report on you because you reported on yourself. They know who owns the business because it's registered in your name.

the same deal if you sell on ebay or amazon or something. They don't need you to provide your name for every sale, because your name is registered to the selling account. You're already registered as a business online. If the IRS needs to know who owns your seller account, they just ask the platform.

People can still get away with anonymous sales in various ways, but that prevents the buyer from writing off the sale. Meaning no business or moderately wealthy person is going to buy your metal anonymously. Because then they wind up owing their own taxes and yours also.
>>
>>61454504

not so you can avoid taxes on inventory because you feel like you weren't trying to sell it

In real life the IRS also very strictly defines business.

if you make multiple sales under a year they're going to argue you're in business.

if you can't prove how long you've held something, they're going to argue you're in business.

if they decide you're in business, you owe FICA

I remember in SETF threads there was a discussion (in a screen cap) about what's happening with silver
>there's either a lot of it, but they give you the impression there's only a little bit of it
>there's only a bit of silver available, but they try to fool you there's a lot of it around
The idea was brainstormed and the conclusion is the 2nd one.
But this post >>61452062 gives another interesting idea
>there's a lot of it, but the yearly deficit is insane, way higher than they publish
>there's only a bit of it, but the yearly deficit is what they publish
What could be the real situation regarding silver? In the second case, that would be a decent situation, but if the first case is true, that means the situation is catastrophic, like end of the world type of catastrophe, if there's a silver shortage, there's no way they would still be able to maintain the modern world altogether, half the industry would have to shut down.

The Silver Institute changed its methodology in 2013 to more accurately show the supply/demand balance. This led to higher reported silver deficits. They also went back and retroactively applied this methodology to all the years prior to 2013, which flipped some formerly "surplus" years to deficit years in the historic data. So, I don't think there's a 450% difference in actual demand vs reported demand. It kind of seems like that anon who made the comment compounded the past five or so deficits like he was calculating partial rent payments or something in his head. That's not how the market works. The deficits are significant and real and will continue for the foreseeable future, but they're not intentionally underreported and certainly not to that extreme by The Silver Institute.

But if there's no huge deficit, where are the 26 billion ounces stockpiles???
The comex has at most 40M ounces and all the us banks cannot fill it up from their own stockpiles of billions of ounces???
40M ounces is peanuts compared to what they should have or be obtainable somehow (up to 26B ounces).
>>
>>61455233
Even if everyone involved in preventing a run on the comex had let's say 8B ounces, with a 200M deficit per year, they could keep it afloat for 40 years, yet they can suddenly barely do it within a few months.

the comex got 450moz, not 40.
LBMA got nearly double that amoun (800moz, a full year of mining output), the SHGE has 640moz, India has a shitton of it..
Just 4 entities and you can already account for over 2 billions oz. That's not too hard to imagine x10 that divided among the rest of the world. Just industrials inventories all around the world must account for a similar amount. Then a lot of nations must have at least some strategic stockpile they have no reason to disclose the existence of. Actually i'd be surprised if any country over 10M inhabs diddn't secure few millions oz as emergency buffer. After all a million oz is only 32 tons, pic rel is a ton. A strategic reserve could fit in my toilets.

If you have a large stack and just want an exotic speculation as part of your stack then by all means. But I think since it is so expensive already you might have difficulty selling it easily. Are you confident you will even get what they claim to be selling you?
I personally bought 5 kilos of Te for shits and giggles and would love to get my hands on a bit of Osmium and Iridium. But at the same time I think the fundamentals on silver are so rock solid that you really don't need to be anywhere else.

Patrick Byrn started BBBY posting about squeezes today and RC is posting ice cream which was his signal was for a finalized deal. Short squeezes start with mass liquidations (selling) in order to come up with the capital necessary to close the short position. Look at VW and the 2008 crash. The crash, as violent and chaotic as it was, was actually a function of short covering and NOT the real estate market.
I wouldn't doubt it for a second, that some sort of gayop is planned to take the heat off of wallstreet and to put it on Russia and China. I don't need to go full tinfoil about it, other than to know any big event that happens ever again is fake and done by isreal and there is no reason to fight anyone or go to war ever again for any reason whatsoever.

You don't have to believe their figures, they're probably false. But even so, i don't find it that big of a number for the largest holder worldwide. 800moz is like what 25K tons? That's 2,500 metric cubes. Exactly the size of an olympic swimming pool. Idk, i don't feel like it's much in a world with over 8 billions people, most of whom are equipped with electronic devices containing silver.
