New Mori thread.Does anyone have any recommendations for places to get some good base dresses? My local thrift stores are pretty terrible.
>>9584240axes femme. also, why always this pic?
Oh, hey. I was just thinking about mori girl the other day, even though now it's not trendy anymore. I've decided to only buy second hand from now on and this is the style I can better pull off and wear without negative criticism.
>>9584242Never used this one before myself, maybe others have.>>9584495 Mori is so comfy!
I'm so sad that Wonder Rocket has totally changed directions. I used to love them. I'll try to contribute to this thread. I love mori, and this is one of my favorite outfits, especially that hat.
You girls make me happy, even if I don't wear the style myself. Keep on keeping on!
>>9586220Same! I tried their store a few times but could never find anything I liked.I tend to wear darker colours though- lots of greens, greys, browns and black.
It's a shame the fashion kind of died, but my love for it is seasonal so I guess I'm no help lol. I find myself wanting to indulge in mori things when it's fall, moreso than any other season. Must be the colors and how autumn is very focused on nature and the way it changes just before snow and Christmas take the spotlight. Winter is pretty mori too, with greys, blues, and whites instead of browns, creams, and yellows. Layering in spring in summer is pretty hard, after all...
>>9587447Agreed. I find it much easier to wear it in Autumn and Winter. A lot of my mori wardrobe is wool and I just can't wear it in the humid summer months. It is so hard to find breathable layering pieces in stores during summer- everything is cheap polyester that feels and looks like plastic.
Why is this fashion even a thing or popular among gulls? It's usually so frumpy and drab, it seems like its meant more the 50+ matronly crowd than young adults, only a few coords in Mori ever look good or actually fashionable like something like this >>9587447 but they seem to be few and far between and its like, the more layers you try to add on the worse it looks?
>>9588344>some people have different taste than me and that makes me ANGRY
>>9588404So glad you came all the way from the unpopular opinion thread to use the exact same bait <3
>>9588408Anyway, who wants a mini dump?
>>9588410>>9588416>>9588417...Okay these actually ARE pretty cute, dang anon how're you managing to find all the cute ones? Guess I was right about Mori only managing to look cute as long as if it's not overly layered.
>>9588435And I'm off to go get dressed.
>>9588421A lot of photos are from favourite one. A mori-ish store from jp. If you google favourite one jp you'll get their rakuten I believe. A lot of taobao Mori is just favourite one knock offs.
>>9588421this demonstrates that you wrote your snotty comment when you had only seen a few pictures of mori outfits. and if you aren't baiting, your narrow opinion about clothes isn't universal.
>>9588546>Narrow opinion about clothes isn't universal...What else are clothes FOR other than just to cover your body and look attractive to others? Cause I'm pretty sure those 2 uses of clothes are VERY fucking universal.
>>9588550They mean your narrow opinion as in you seem to only think the things you like are capable of appearing cute. If you don't like the fashion just hide the thread.
>>9593480One of my favourite coords! What kind of bags does everyone like for mori?
>>9588424Where is this from? I'm thinking this isn't just a translation but it's likely I'm very wrong.
>>9588416bought the dress on the right. looks so much better on a smaller person.;_;
>>9594232Aww that sucks! Where was it from?
>>9593856Something woolen or patchwork, or with embroidery, and with a slouchy shape. Cloth bags also happen to be super comfortable to carry.>>9588424It says nth magazine, which I think is a small Japanese girls magazine.
Any mori girls/boys on here who make their own clothes or accessories?I just cast on this shawl and hoping to use it for some outfits.
This taobao store sells a lot of Mori stuffhttps://shop36612222.world.taobao.com
Any Mori Girl blogs?
>>9584495where are you buying second hand?
>>9601878Oh, I mean I just thrift some pieces here and there that fit the style in local thrift shops, flea markets and vintage stores. The only things that I haven't been able to find are underskirts and underdresses, I bought those off of Aliexpress. Here's some tops that I've recently thrifted. Sorry for potato quality and wrinkly clothes, I just took them off the drying rack.
>>9602070Do you have any links to good aliexpress underskirts/underdresses?Also I'd love to see an outfit made out of your thrifted pieces.
Don't mean to go off topic, but can anyone point me in the direction of mori BOY blogs, aesthetic posts, or examples?
Have you guys seen that Canadian textile artist / fashion designer April Cornell is borrowing from Mori? She even says "inspired by mori girls" in her catalog now.
