Are hime and pirate lolita not special snowflake enough for you?
>>
>>9829747

>>9829762
there is overlap, since many hime and pirate coords draw on 18th century styles for inspiration. however, much of what i have sorted into a hime inspo folder would not be suitable here, and vice versa
>>
>>9829787
end for now, i hope none have been repeats from the old thread

I am actually really happy with Baroque their quality, especially of the lace! Most of their print dresses are polyester though and it also feels really polyesterish on your skin. (Personally like cotton/more cottony fabrics qua feeling.)
The dresses are also very Tall Lolita friendly.

Do any of you actually wear this oppulent style of lolita? I wear toned down classic in my daily life, but these threads always make me want to take my daily style a step further without being overly costumish. Is there a happy medium or do you only bust out your fancy hats at conventions and meetups.(i wish i still lived in an area with a community)
>>
>>9829907
yep, plus we have reenactors and indie brand designers who visit the thread. it does not have to be so opulent, i suppose, but finding casual inspo can be difficult.

A lot of really good stuff in this thread! I'll have to read through more later.

>>9834060
The round cut mobcap is fairly common, but wearing it that far forward is only really for when you're working. Its usually worn farther back otherwise.

>>9834064
Not new, just seems to have garnered more attention lately. I can't complain, as now I have use in discussion of 18thC historic fashion, which I wear for a living and greatly enjoy.

I just found out this existed, and I'm in love! Is there a good tutorial for beginners?

no, it is a style that many people have done, but without a unified label. from what i remember, these threads began in /ouG/ with discussion of Macaroni and related styles, which had much in common with ouji: short pants, wigs, tiny hats, etc.

Those paintings are of caps being worn on the back of the head. I still don't get what you mean. Do you mean you want images of the mobcaps being worn forwards, where it encircles the crown of the lady's head?
>>
>>9837189
I mean that since commented that I didn't know where this >9833262 style of mobcap came from and you said it common, just not worn "that far forward" except when working. But the examples you posted don't look like the shower cap being worn here >>9833262

While those are clearly tightly cinched round mobcaps, I think it would be easier to just dump these for your perusal.

Nice INNOCENT cosplay. INNOCENT and INNOCENT ROUGE is a historical manga drawn by a vkei fan that takes place around the french revolution. damn straight.

thanks for all the commentary, Gropey! you asked last thread why people keep wearing sashes around their waists in these coords, so when i encountered pic related i thought of you. the "sash belt" look seems inspired by these sort of military outfits.

sashes around the waist then seem to disappear for half a century. i am unsure because i am new to such research! at the very end of the 18th century i find pic related. maybe, like jeans under skirts, this is one of those things that popped back after a period of disfavor?

Inspired maybe, but way off. It looks more like they're wearing tea doilies vaugely pinned on, rather than a proper wrapped sash.
