No. Usakumya deserves to be owned by a real lolita who will love her, not some nymphet ddlg-looking kid who holds her by her ear.

It's a Japanese magazine and this is one of the other pics, there was also a pic where she wears something that looks like wrist-cuffs, all in a sci-fi setting.
>>
>>9853353
Nymphet fashion is a more specific aesthetic though. Which the photo has. And it is often worn by ddlg fans.

So you started the new general with it? Really? Now we're going to have to look at this shit in the catalog all the time until this thread dies. I get posting the pics in a thread since they are kinda relevant, but many lolitas won't give a shit. It was a bad OP choice.

>>9853349
>>9853357
I'm not defending this hideous fucking outfit, but I fail to see how it could be considered 'nymphet' fashion? She's wearing a frumpy Chinese mumu with bargain bin socks and an old pair of track shoes. Her makeup and the stuffed animal may be a part of 'nymphet' style, but you can find both of those things throughout lolita. I suppose If you're just taking into account the knee (strangling) socks and high school running shoes, you could get an 'other lolita' vibe from this but I think it's a huge reach to say it looks like 'ddlg'.

Anyways, If this was worn by anyone besides a Japanese model it would make an immediate appearance in the ita thread. Also count me in as being triggered as fuck by seeing Kumya being held like that.
>>
>>9853383
I think it's fine to start the general with a lolita item found in an unexpected place, and (though I feel bad for the amount of replies it caused) it's funny how easily triggered you are

>>
>>9853816
Might sound weird but go to your local library, the ones in my country all have at least one book for women's fashion and for men's. They usually have chapters on different degrees of formal wear, how a proper bra should fit, what type of hoes goes with what type of clothes etc
>>
>>9853819
damn how do you do that? how many main pieces do you have/do you buy everything retail/how long have you been in the game?
>>
>>9853816
Watch youtube tutorials on colour analysis, make-up and hair. Do the make-up and hair tutorials of jfashion magazines. Keep it simple by wearing normie skirts/dresses in pink if you plan to wear sweet lolita, in black if you plan to wear wear gothic lolita, or in brown if you plan to wear classic lolita. Especially with sweet lolita, it's already unusual for adults to wear pastels so this way your surroundings can slowly get used to your more feminine style. Wear neutral tights and shoes.
>>
>>9853632
Same. I stressed really hard about seeming like a clueless weeb, but now that I've been in the fashion and then joined the pages are full of stupid bullshit like this.

Even in my most newbie state, I would not have embarrassed myself like this. I feel like I kept myself from living my best lolita life for no reason.

I'm in the same boat as this person; I barely own any brand and I enjoy handmaking my own coords, and I'm plus sized, so what I make tends to look better on me than actual brand pieces. However, if the mod for the party wants to see the coord ahead of the party, I would just send it, not give her the runaround and excuses. If your homemade stuff looks good, you have nothing to worry about. I saw an Aussie tea party on YouTube once where one of Misako-chan's fav coords was a homemade. So it's fine to be homemade, as long as it holds up to everyone else's coords.

How are your holy lanterns holding up? Flocky print and chiffon make me nervous, I don't like dry cleaning (handwash only) and tend to spill things/ run into things

I’ve washed mine multiple times with no issues. I hand wash with Woolite in a large basin. Don’t put your dress under direct running water and don’t rub fabric together. I then let it air dry

The OP is easier to wash due to less fabric

What are the current lolita trends? A friend and I have been trying to list them and we're struggling a bit. What we've got so far is:
>Gothic, especially Moitie and Antique Beast
>Brooches and pins
>Those fucking bear ear hats and things with bunny ears
>Plain dresses with Aprons
>2008-2015 AP Releases coorded in modern OTT ways
>Ophelia-style old school, though it's already fading a bit
>Flat hats, a bit larger than traditional mini hats, with flowers and tilted to the side
>>
>>9855244
that could be good if her fabric choice and her designs weren't so off. I want to like her stuff.
>>
>>9855605
>bear ear hats? example?
I wish flat hats weren't in. 95% of them look like trash.
>>
>>9855610
These fucking things, anon. They've been all over my Insta feed for a while now.
>>
How many days after winning a lacemarket auction do you give the seller before leaving bad feedback? I won Saturday and she asked for my address to calculate shipping. I told her and it's been left unread since Saturday. No sign of an invoice via PayPal either.
>>

Two weeks since last contact.
>>
>>9855605
>>9855615
I was going to call you stupid but after looking in the CoF Thread... Yeah there's a lot of ears going on. The bunny ones may just be because of Easter though?
>Also, huge bonnets are replaced by taobao flathats in classic lolita popularity
>Just as I buy my first 3F bonnet
>FUUUUUUUUUUU
>I will never be trendy
>>
>>9855615
Damn, I thought I was super original by buying some pink ones. Just pluck out my heart already.
>>
>>9855688
This trend is still in early days. I may hate bear hats with a passion, but you're still good to wear yours and be cool! I genuinely hope you enjoy them, anon.
>>
>>9855683
You on the other hand are fucked. Sorry. >At least flathats are cheap if you want to hop on the trend.
>>
>>9855610
I think flat hats are beautiful... Like big OTT canotiers
>>
>>9855691
Thank you, that's very sweet of you! I hope maybe I can make a coord that makes you not hate them so much (probably not, but a gull can dream)
>>
>>9855728
That one looks alright. I just don't like how much they obscure the face (and I have a bitter hatred for min-hats, and they're too close for comfort).
>>
>>9855728

Dollbe is doing a contest on instagram. I Don't know much about the quality of her pieces, but I spoke with her in person once and she seems really committed to the idea of making sure the fit of all her made-to-order pieces is accurate to the customer.
Figured I'd mention this in case anyone here would like the chance to try her stuff out for free (if you're the winner of the contest). I know I have some fit issues, so the idea of something that's both free and custom fit sounds tempting, even if the quality isn't the best.
>>
>>9856584
Her artwork is always so awful and weirdly skewed though, and the clothing design is questionable (though it seems sturdy enough).

I wouldn't want to wear anything by her, free or not, until she learns how to make a proper print (or quits doing prints and does solids)

Several indie designers and taobao offer custom sizing so if that's the only reason you're interested, just save your money and get something from someone that isn't going to look bad.

The new Baby print makes my heart melt, I don't know why I love it so much, it's something that I would never usually go for
>>
>>9856584
For someone who wants to make dresses for bigger girls and for someone who wants to make sure the type fits the customer well, she sure has chosen a type of dress that doesn’t suit most plus-size girls well. As soon as you have breasts, like most plus-size girls do, high-waist dresses look aweful on you in my opinion. Same goes for tall and chubby, I think the fit of the girl in the drawing is already an example of that. The shape looks so off.
>>
>>9856612
Girls as fat as Dollbe have no waist though, it's their only choice in cut
>>
>>9856612
I think >>9856613 is onto something. The problem I think is plus-size waists can come in a lot of different shapes, like literally different shapes. Two girls could both be overweight in the same amount, but one might be carrying it all on her stomach and the other has it all in her hips and chest area. I knew a 300lb woman who had a 36" waist, so any jacket that could fit her arms and boobs was too big for her waist.

>>
>>9857224
These are phenomenal anon! I'm probably going to get one of each color, they're gorgeous and so well designed.

Looked around on your Etsy but couldn't tell, are these made of wood? Paper on something and sealed? Plastic? I'm really dumb, don't own many pins, and can't tell.

I would love to work with wood, but sadly I don't have a great workspace for that. And I imagine sawdust would end up everywhere. At least with glitter I don't have to worry about splinters! I both love and hate the sparkly cancer. But to answer your questions, just about everything in my shop is made via resin.

Sorry, my dude. Temp promo sort of ended when I put the listing up a couple days later. I could toss in a defect with your order, tho. They're still pretty okay looking, but the CGL font on the pastel was a weird colour, there are no scrolls at the bottom, and the pin is bigger than expected. (6x6 instead of 5x5cm)

Also, wew. I've already sold more of these than expected to. I have to make more tonight.

Anyone else notice the new IW White items on reservation? I feel like I'm late to the party. Looks like the skirt a few girls were wearing on CoF is up, a JSK, and a blouse.

The skirt looks like such a cheap version of the Flare Skirt with Braids, but I guess it's cute enough for casual wear, but I'm rather unimpressed for the price. The JSK looks pretty decent, lining at the hem is a bit simple and cheap, though it looks like they're trying to pull off a Vilma OP look with the model. Blouse looks really nice and simple in a good way, RIP that I didn't notice it sooner as it's almost all sold out. They did restocks for some IW White items that sold out in preorder last time, maybe again for this blouse...

(Saying all this as someone who has bought a wide variety of IW for years, and I bought the initial bustier + skirt from White and liked them.)
>>
>>9857359
I really liked the blouse but high collars make my face look fat so I had to skip this one. I hope they do a peter pan one soon!
>>
>>9856563
That's a pretty unprofessional post by Hide.
>>
>>9857359

I am so mixed on this. On one hand, I like the pricing and simple design, but on the other hand, would it kill them to put one line of lace at the ends of the jabot for the blouse? Lolita for me is all about the small details. One of my favorite dresses is a simple cutsew dress with beautiful lace at the turtleneck. It's small things like these that make my day. IW white is almost there, but the cheap trimmings and lack of beautiful detail is really killing me.
>>
>>9857359
I saw these, none of them appeal to my taste but I'm glad to see IWW releasing more than one design at once, especially since they sell out. I'm looking forward to see what they're going to release next.
>>
>>9856817
Please be in Berlin. The Hamburg event a couple of years ago was a mess.

>>9857359
I hate how IW (and other brands like VM also) only doing OP's and Underbust JSKs these days. They are still using simple JSK cuts for prints. I just want some solid or floral pattern JSKs which satisfy my casual granny taste though.
>>

I'm excited about the new event, always wanted to go to a lolita event in Germany. I'm surprised they didn't choose for Germany earlier. And the other colourway. Matching bow clips are also available.

I think this series would make great everyday wear for daily lolitas. It looks comfy, like you can just pull it on and be cute. As usual I love Meta's darker and more saturated colour choices than other sweet brands. But... It's also a little boring, don't you think?
>>
>>9857536
I don't think it's boring, simple designs really are easier to wear daily and can be dressed up to look fancier; but personally I would've liked this more if there was a solid version, I'm not a huge fan of polkadots.
