I have no idea how you benzo people just walk around acting like they're the easiest thing in the world to get.
I don't want any, I'm just commenting on that.

I never said they were.

An It's not, I buy them from the dark net

What the fuck is this shit. It's when I'm not drinking mostly, but does certainly happen when I do too. It's irritating as fuck.

Hit my 3 digits lads

Now where's a 750ml of Chopin to celebrate?
>>
In the country where I live (Norway), the state has a monopoly on alchohol witch makes it pretty expensive.

One liter of the cheapest vodka costs 50 dollars, so if you were to drink a liter a day it would cost you 18250 dollars every year. Keep in mind that the avrage annual salary in 2016 in Norway was 66384 dollars.

What do you think about this system? Do you think it is a good thing? would it help you?
>>
>>9541953
No it wouldn't help me. I would just make my own liquor and wine either legally or illegally

for some reason I don't get any headaches after drinking. I drink 700ml of 40% over the span of an evening. Is this considered enough to get a headache?

Got some blackberry brandy. Forgot it in my car, which is down in the parking garage.

Nearly got cooking sherry too, since it was dirt cheap at about a dollar for 750ml.

Guess I will stick to whiskey tonight.

You can buy benzo analogues on the clearnet.
>>
>>9541953
Mostly not. Like another anon said, more robust healthcare/mental healthcare is a better way to treat alcoholism (not commenting on Norway's healthcare).

It seems like a bit of a price hike would do *a little* good, but at the same time, true addicts will get it whether it's $20 or $50, it's just a matter of what they have to sacrifice in buying other things. And then people who aren't addicts are getting shafted when they buy.

I'd think it mostly just shifts a little more wealth to the government, rather than significantly reducing alcoholism. Wonder if there's a study out there about this.
>>
>>9541915
Confusion is a side affect of alcoholism. Alcohol withdrawal to be more accurate.

Also good advice. The key is understanding what you're doing and where the risks are. When done correctly you have a very very close to 0% chance of having any issues.

Also make sure to buy from a reputable seller, not just some random. bit coin transactions don't have a "undo the guy never shipped anything" mechanism like a credit card or paypal dispute.
>>
>>9542252
>Also make sure to buy from a reputable seller
This

Also make sure you read reviews from months back and don't buy from anyone who hasn't made a sale in a month. Chances are there is a reason

I personally just drink vodka with cold water, I love the taste of it. I would drink it straight if I didn't get so hungover and hammered so fast, Mixing it with water slows down getting drunk to fast and keeps you hydrated

It would probably prevent a lot of people of turning into an al/ck/y, but the ones that are would either make their own booze and risk blindness or get it on the black market
The arguments are similar to weed, but alcohol has been a part of our culture since ancient times so it's a bit late to try and ban it now desu

I alternate between beer whiskey beer whiskey.
Working pretty good so far.
>>
So I'm ~110 days without a drink and although I don't have any overwhelming urges or cravings, I do miss alcohol.

My question is is it possible to go from alcoholic/problem drinker to getting moderately drunk once or twice a month?

I would honestly argues whether or not I was an alcoholic. I may have been flirting with a drinking problem, but it was only occasionally affecting my day to day.
>>
>whiskey
I drink 1.75l of vodka per day and I've realized that anyone that drinks whiskey is either a non-binge drinker (or beer regular) that is trying to get hammered, or if you're a tramp who hates themselves/ is FUCKED.
After I reached vodka point I haven't been able to enjoy any other liquors, one makes sense economically.
Otherwise, whiskey is best enjoyed/promoted by people who drink mildly and have the money for nice bottles.
Anyone else observe this?

Back when I was feeling better I could down a handle of anything, or I thought I could. Clan McGreggor is such goddamned poison that I can't handle less than half of that, I'd never even had a hangover before that "scotch" and I've drank some shitty whisky. I think that still helps in someway. In my case I there would probably be some retarded part of me that would actually feel obliged to smoke weed because of having invested in expensive paraphernalia. I'd feel guilty about spending the money and then not using it.
>>
>>9542761
>He gave it to you to drink, or in your ear?

To drink.

I used to get terrible painful ear infections as a kid and my dad used to be me mix drinks of ginger brandy for pain (we lived in an extremely rural area when I was growing up, I never went to a doctor until I was 20 when I moved).
>>
>>9542767

>>
>>9542790

At what point did you accept your alcoholism?
>>
>>9542790
I'm just curios about how childhood alcohol consumption affects poeple later in life. I hope you get better anon, a handle could probably last me 4 or 5 days now and I'm only judging this based on how I only buy pints, fifths, and 1L occasionally. Had my first bottle of champagne at 11
>>
>>9542751

I agree. I teach high school now and all they do is snap chat eachother day in and day out. I probably spent two+ years hanging out with the same rabble of dudes on offshoot twcf message boards and i never knew their names and that was okay.
>>
>>9542808
24 I started to accept it, 25 I knew I was an alcoholic (i'm 30 now).

>>9542809
I would say it affects people if you drink alcohol as an adolescent. I had my first alcoholic drink at 10, Me and my brother could drink without any restriction at 15. We both turned out to be alcoholics (he is 2 years older then me, 32).

But loss probably played a small roll, Our oldest brother was killed when he was being robbed at gunpoint in 2010. After that me and my remaining brother pretty much went off the handle if you will, We both drank a lot more heavily after that.

I know it sounds irresponsible what our parents allowed, But we lived in such a rural area mail came by plane lol. It's not like where I live now....The suburbs where I can drive 4 miles to a doctors office.
>>
Uh oh anons. I think good old seasonal depression is hitting me. It's a fucking bitch to wake up and during the day I'd rather be drinking or laying in bed for the rest of it. Fucking hate being at work and pretending to be cheerful.

The only thing that got me through my day was a cheerful little girl who laughed when I waved hi and said "goodbye" when I walked away. It was easily the most uplifting and cheerful moment of my day.

My older brother drinks a lot too, but it seems like he has more control than I do; I think he had his first drink at 15 or 16 but had a lot of access to liquor after that. You just described the vast majority of what people post about online, especially in the context of social media pages like Facebook. The whole fucking point of those kinds of sites is to post about what you are doing.

>>but why do you want other people to know that you went the pub or some shit?
There's nothing special or unique about the pub. People post about anything and everything they've done or visited.

The biological imperative to seek out mates is more a male thing than a female thing. It is also more efficient, seeing as once a woman gets impregnated, further sex does absolutely nothing until the nine months are over. A man can continuously impregnate.

Also, glance in this thread. I've seen so many men speak about cheating on their girlfriends, but I have barely seen any talk about unfaithful women.

As a girl, and having dated both men and women, I have found that the men are the more unfaithful and sex-driven. The women are so emotionally invested, and it is a much more fulfilling relationship. With a man, you are pretty much expected to put out after a while or they lose interest. With a woman, you really don't have to.

For the /r9k/ers complaining about women, stop dating/having sex with females. Follow pic related, as it is probably better for you.
>>
>>9543896
I don't think It's the man's fault for not wanting you around, That is usually something the woman has done/is doing that makes us not want to be around you.

For instance-

I left my ex because she was clingy after about 6 months. Constantly touching me or talking to me while I'm busy....Women need constant attention, They are like children. You have to talk to them and treat them almost just like children
>>
>>9543913
That is what I mean though. Men like space unless they are horny or on the off-chance they want affection, which is hard to gauge. With a woman, I can just cuddle all day and be as lovey as I want. It is a purer form of love, and not just a convenient situation to sate lust or boost self-esteem.

I can see how women would want to date other women. They all seem to want more affection then men typically can give, I don't think I've ever dated a woman who would kiss me once or twice all day then not bother me when I'm busy or be nagging on me or just constantly touching me while I'm watching TV or something. They almost remind me of a cat and how a cat constantly wants to be touching you, Even if you continue to push it away it will get as close to you as you allow it.

With that all being said I still would prefer the nagging and emotional games of a woman then to have sex with a man. I guess some people can go from women to guys and back again but I just cannot touch a man, Nothing about a man is attractive or sexy to me.

So until they can perfect the brain transplant I'm SOL.

Wanna know something crazy? Alcohols like us can get these shots called esophageal varicoaities if we hit it too hard. I thought this would work, but it didn't
>put piece of dark chocolate in a thick glass with a shot of overproof rum
>ignite rum, let it get hot, blow it out
>stir in chocolate till it melts

>>
>>9544007
Use something that's not as strong as overproof rum for most of the drink. Then float a very thin layer of the overproof stuff on the top for your flame effect. That's standard practice for "flaming" cocktails. Most of the drink is normal. It's only a very thin layer on the top which is the overproof stuff.

They’re documenting fun memories they’ve had with friends. Disdain for excessive social media updates is somewhat rational but you don’t have to hate on people for having fun. You wouldn’t react this way to a polaroid of friends at a bar from the seventies that was placed on someone’s mantlepiece, this is just an example of technology changing the way those kinda of experiences are shared and remembered.

I know this type of anger comes from loneliness because I’ve been there (I am there) but demonstrate a little self awareness and stop being petty.

Nah, there are ways, although it takes some work and time. As a student, I know a few of them.

You can just buy cheap wine-brewing sets for like 50$, and have 20 liters of homebrew ready in 2 weeks (europris broooor). Also, getting some cheap moonshine here in Norway, especially if you're in the countryside, is easy as shit.

Saying that though, I would be drink more if Norway didn't have a shitload of taxes on alcohol.
>>

If you don’t mind my asking, is the desire to get alcohol after your attempt to wean off of it just to get the withdrawal symptoms to end or because you’re doubting that you want to be sober in general?

You make a good point. I think the issue for me is that; for so many of these activities, the documentation and social media sharing is the goal. Some of these people would not even do what they're doing if not for social media.

I don't hate the people who participate in this behavior but I do reject doing it myself.
>>
>>9544635

It really depends, if you know them personally, maybe 20$ for 5L. In the cities, there's always the polish guy who knows someone smuggling booze over the border for like 10-15$ a bottle.
>>
>>9544639
As someone who hasn’t posted a FB status since 2013, but still has an account for organising events and for Messenger, in my experience that’s not an accurate generalisation to make. These people definitely exist, but most people posting about their nights out are just shooting the shit the same way you might bring up what a great time you had on the weekend when you get to work on a Monday.

Personally I have no problem with people posting photos of social functions/memories, etc. The behaviour I find odd is using Facebook to post opinions and diatribes and jokes you came up with as statuses because it seems almost like taking advantage of a captive audience, but even then that’s assuming everyone wants the same thing out of Facebook that I do so I try to ignore it.

That said Facebook really is the bottom tier of social media platforms and doesn’t promote interesting content in the slightest.

I dislike the disturbing pervasiveness and ubiquity of social media, especially considering very you children are being reared in this lifestyle. I got rid of Facebook at least 5-6 years ago and have never owned a cell phone before.

It makes life a bit less convenient, more so now that I am an early-career professional. People used to think it was cool I didn't have a cell phone, not anymore - I think they wonder what is wrong with me, if I'm a friendless weirdo, unabomber, etc.

Despite my rather strong opinions on social media and the pathologically narcissistic behavior of documenting one's life like they are a reality star, I keep them to myself. People can do whatever they want, it's no skin off my back, and I'm not going to be some silent bitter weirdo brooding while others have fun. Especially since a lot of the people complaining about others having vapid fun are essentially wasting their youth shitposting on an ephemeral message board, with nothing to show for it but lost time and unrealized experiences.

This is why I’m skeptical of staunchly anti social media proponents. I do wonder how kids growing up on it will turn out though and I’m grateful I got a good amount of growing up in before it really took hold.
It’s almost mandatory for me to have a smartphone though what with all the apps that even government agencies make use of these days, and the job I just got actually made it a requirement.

Not the guy you're replying to, but seeking treatment of any kind as an addict is rough in a lot of the US. 30 day in-patient treatment is like $3200 around here, and most insurance won't even cover that. Out-patient programs that run for 3 or 4 months run like $75 1on1, $30 1.5 hour group sessions.

Doctors aren't great with anything regarding opioids, beyond the first prescription ranging from 5-30 days. Nothing with codeine is OTC here.

Does a huge Ice cube have that much of an effect on the taste of Scotch? I've always loved it on the rocks but am i doing myself a disservice?

>tfw no drug/alcohol drone delivery service
For Death is the meaning of night;
The eternal shadow
Into which all lives must fall,
All hopes expire.

supposedly some water will make certain compounds precipitate out of solution, oils and such, which will change the taste of it either for the better or for the worse depending on the whisky
however, it also cools it down, which will change the flavor further
tl;dr
drink it the way you like it, but try experimenting
>>
Mis-calculated how much booze I had in and now it's almost 11, I'm only just buzzed and I'm about to run out. What a fuckin disaster.
>>
Haha. Said I'd quit drinking on Sunday, threw out a full 700 of new Amsterdam and 350 of Smirnoff...comes to Friday, i buy a liter of vodka on my lunch break to drink when I get home as I am off tomorrow. Hahaaa ya can never win

I mean in the sense that he is a pessimistic drunken mess, not that he is a great intellect.

A bit of water in scotch is the norm with fine stuff, but chilling it diminishes the flavour. Try your scotch with a bit of water instead of ice perhaps.

Not gonna lie if I had any input in the advent of drone delivery I’d make it a requirement to be disabled before they’d deliver you substances like drugs or alcohol. Just thinking about my uncle who barely leaves the house as it is. Every year he’s still alive is a surprise to me and to my mother who has been driving 60km round trips to his house in the hills regularly because he keeps having drunken accidents requiring medical attention and making suicide threats in the middle of the night.

Sorry for your loss. Roasties slut school teachers will brainwash her to hate you no matter how you treat her

Can anyone explain this to me? I have no idea what OTC is, or how this works. Burger here, just curious.
>>
>>9545361
Over the counter, buy from pharmacists
>>
>got paid today since its closest weekday to the 15th
>spend 100 bucks on alcohol
>gettin hammered
>>
>>9545361
It means over the counter.

Brits don't have to have a perscription for codeine like we have to here in the U.S.

They can buy codeine (in low-medium strength) OTC by just saying "Hi I'm a britbong with a sore throat, Can I have some cure brand codeine?"

The good thing about people like you hating women is that women hate you right back and you won’t get to have children.
>>
>>9545454
I have three daughters you dried up whore.
>>
>>9545361
W/o prescription? That's crazy. Our rap industry over here would be over if that was the case.
Pls answer my question, though.
>>
>>9545441
>>9545477
Nvm read this what in the fuck, this is blowing my burger mind. What's the expense rate? That's bananas.
>>
>>9545441
>>9545477
In the US you just get 'tussin instead, works just about as well and is way fuckin cheaper.
US has CRAZY lenient OTC law normally, and even moreso with prescriptions. If you actually want a fix on something just go to a random doc-in-the-box and bitch about a super bad cough you think might be strep and they'll throw a script for two bottles at you without blinking
>>
>>9545493
So you mean robotussin? Because that's nothing :,(
>>
>>9545503
If you think tussin is nothing then your mixture ratio is off, or you've got low-percentage ingredients.
>>
>>9545493
>>9545503
>>9545512

overdosing robotussin will shred your goddamn kidneys and liver so you should probably drink a lot more of it
>>
>>9545526
Yeah because coedine is super healthy for you

Is it relatively safe to drink while using Zoloft? Just started the medication yesterday, but the cravings are hitting me and I've got a bottle of shitty wine.

Tried going cold turkey today, felt like was going to die. After I got over the anxiety a little and went and got some beer. Genuinely hoping I can taper off a bit, I never want to experience that anxiety again.

Final question, would you recommend getting a small, medium, or full size P.O. box for the dark net thing? I would also like to convey my thanks for your help. Although with the last post, you slightly missed something like shut in or introvert to completely nail my disposition.
