How can I make my pizza healthier? I know this might seem like a joke but it's not. I need pizza to live. I am significantly obese but I have been slowly changing my diet. I stopped drinking soda pop completely, I only eat 1 small bag of chips a day, I started eating more green vegetables (bleh) and stopped eating all deep fried and frozen foods...but oh my god I just can't fucking give up pizza. I need at least 1 full pepperoni pizza a day with ranch. When I didn't care about my health at all I would use as much ranch and garlic dipping sauce I want, now I use a tiny little side of it so I have reduced my calories intake by thousands of calories but I just can't stop eating pizza.

Can I lose weight while eating pizza and a small bag of chips everyday?

I wish I could say I had a good experience. I'm not OP but I am fat. Nowhere near his level (I am 5'10 and 280lbs, down from 330lbs 5 months ago). I don't want people's pitty but I gained 150lbs after my mom died and became an alcoholic. Weight was never an issue for me before. I wanted to go to the gym and start lifting weight/doing cardio but especially weights because I know that can have huge benefits, help you retain muscle mass, not to mention is great for burning calories obviously. Multiple times probably like 5 I got laughed at by some super fit attractive women and go teased by some fit stereotypical chads so I stopped going. Now I just eat 1500 calories a day of mostly fish, eggs, veggies, fruits and only drink water, and spend an hour on the treadmill I bought after my negative gym experience. Fuck the gym and fuck fitness people. You can be fit without being a self absorbed self righteous cunt. All people like them should have acid thrown in their face to take away what they hold dear the most their identity.

When I lost about 70 lbs I did it through small goals. 10lbs at a time. Any less is tough because weigh fluctuates. I weighed myself like 10 times a day which helped me be aware of every decision. Stairs instead of escalators, etc - which is maybe too much right now. But fuck these people you aren’t going to be chicken and rice and broccoli 2000 calories and three times a week to the gym overnight. Small steps. Progress. Accomplishment. That being said, make your own pizzas, at a slightly smaller size than you get from Dominos. You can get pre-made crusts and sauce, and swap out the cheese and pepperoni for low-fat options. It won't taste as good, but the whole idea here is to ween yourself off the Dominos every day. Also look into Overeaters Anonymous or some sort of support network.

You can eat anything you want, as long as you watch your portions. You need to change your lifestyle. Removing soda is a good thng, but you need to go commit harder. Completely remove chips/snacks from weekdays.

Then you'll want to start skipping meals. If you eat 3 times a day, move to 2. The first 2 or 3 weeks are gonna be hard, but eventually you will adapt and will stop focusing so much on food. The key is that you need to keep yourself busy.

Just buy some wholewheat tortilla wraps. Take one, and spread pizza sauce over it, then top with mozzarella, or cheddar, or a mix of whatever cheese you like. I'd say to try cut out the pepperoni, but if you really want some, put that on too, and then just bake it in the oven until the cheese is melted and golden.

I'm going to respond to you as if this isn't bait, from one fatboi to another. You just have to stop. Never get a pizza again in your whole life. Don't get any of the things you regularly ate ever again. Just like a recovering alcoholic, just one drink can ruin your whole life all over again. If you want to actually lose weight at all you are going to have to reduce your caloric intake by a lot, and considering how huge you are I can't even imagine how many thousands of calories you eat. Start counting your carbs, drink a lot of water, continue eating vegetables. Go through and throw away all of your junk food, unless it is unopened and non-perishable, in which case go donate it to a food bank or something. Learn how to cook, learn how to use spices and make things taste good without needing a massive fuckload of fat and sugar. Start mealplanning, prep a weeks worth of meals at a time. Avoid sugars, even naturally occurring ones.

You will absolutely hate your life for a while when you make the huge calorie cut, but you will just have to practice some self-control and get through it. Start becoming more active, you don't have to go get a gym membership, but just walk more. As you lose weight it will become a lot easier to be active, so as you become more mobile, get more active. I 100% believe that you can save yourself, and there are a lot of resources online, especially on [spoiler]reddit[/spoiler], that can help you plan meals and figure out what your caloric intake should be.

Try to eat lower calorie food like veggies to fill you up without all the excessive calories in chips and pizza. If you really really cant live without pizza, eat it only 1 time per week. But the biggest thing will be your willpower to make this work. Good luck

I would recommend making a pizza dough recipe with some whole wheat flour. I would use 1/3 to 1-4 whole wheat and the rest all purpose or bread flour. I like olive oil in my dough, and a bit of honey. Buy some active dry yeast and learn to proof it, meaning pouring the yeast with bath-hot (110 ish) water and checking to see that it foams in 5 minutes before adding it to your dough.

Make big quantities of dough, portion them out into individual pizza-sized dough balls, wrap in plastic, and freeze them. Add veggies to your pizza as well as meat. Try eating white pizza with no tomato sauce and some spinach, garlic, and light parmesan cheese.

Experiment in the kitchen. Try making your own ranch dip. If you are going to eat it, at least make it yourself so you know exactly what is in it. If the texture of raw vegetables is loathsome to you you can always blanch them in the microwave for a few minutes before adding them to your pizza.

I'll try to be actually helpful here. So healthier for other people means more nutritious and more fiber, for you it means fooling your body into eating fewer calories. I guess you could go to 3000 kcal a day and still lose a ton of weight.

So where does this leave us. I'd say go for your favorite pizza style and just limit yourself to 2500 kcal worth of it. For the rest of the 500 kcal eat a bunch of highly favored with salt, vinegar and aromatics roasted vegetables. You can even use half a tbsp of oil when you roast them. 500 kcal worth of veg should still be a huge bowl full. Between that and an entire pizza I think you'll be good as far as satiety goes. It might still feel like shit bit you'll have to bear some pain to lose weight. Of you're willing to commit I'll come up with a roasted veg dish that's huge and tallies to the kcals you need. Let me know.

Eat slightly smaller portions each day until your stomach is at normal size. Eat 3 slices of homemade, healthy-ish pizza and then drink green tea. Every meal. Every day. Green tea and a small, 1 cm cut of ginger. I unintentionally lost 32 lbs over the course of 2 months thanks to post-infectious IBS by being on an unintentional diet of nothing but rice, ginger, and occasionally a snack. You don't have to do this, and this was actually an unhealthy level of weight loss.

This is an excellent rule. Although personally after initially finding cooking extremely stressful to the point I'd have at least one panic attack during each attempt, it got easier, then boring for like two meals, and now it's mildly fun. Eating's way more fun though. Also, burns a little bit of calories if you're doing something that requires some effort i.e. making bread or kneading stuff. Do jumping jacks while waiting for stuff to cook is an easy way to help as well. Each jumping jack should burn 1-2 calories, even more if you're a fat ass. Did 100 jumping jacks? You just have to reduce your calorie intake to 1500 calories a day OP. If you want pizza, then make sure it's below 1500 calories, but that's all you'll be eating that day.

Drink only water. Choose healthier snacks, like vegetables, which are low in calories. If you're desperately craving sugar, eat an apple.

Exercise is a meme for weight loss, but weight lifting is good. Buy some weights and lift daily, or at least every other day. You'll tone your body and look better, and improve your overall health and well being.

Besides that, you only have to remember it takes time. It will take years to lose all of your weight, so you can't get disheartened when the scales say you haven't lost. As long as you're sticking to the 1,500, you'll get there. The time will fly.

Mushrooms are a low calorie savory substitute for the meat. Spicy peppers for a little heat can also add a depth of flavor you might come to enjoy for almost zero calorie gain.

I'm the other Anon he responded to. In my case at least, I've been fighting depression since I was 10 years old. I always end up climbing out of it temporarily until some little thing triggers it again and I spiral down into wanting to kms again. I've spent at least half the year every year depressed. I dreamt of suicide in MS. Nowadays I'll get weird euphoric elevated mood stuff, and my normally great memory gets completely shot. I don't think it's something I can deal with on my own anymore. I don't want to start medication but I feel like I've used all my other options. I know a lot of people think they have it, but they usually just have some kind of mild thing going on that they can get over by distracting themselves/working through with a therapist, especially if the therapist doesn't medicalize it.

Go to Trader Joe's and get some lavash bread. You might be able to get it elsewhere, we get it at Trader Joe's cuz it's cheap as fuck there.

lightly brush the bread with olive oil and garlic powder on one side and bake on a cookie sheet at 400 for 5-7 minutes, until it's STARTING to get crispy. You might have to fuck with this a bit depending on your oven/location/altitude/etc.

Pull the toasted lavash bread out of the oven and apply the following over the surface of the bread:

1/4 cup Barilla Marinara
1/4 cup of mozzarella
12 slices of turkey pepperoni

Throw it back in the oven for approx 4 mins or until cheese is melted and just beginning to turn golden brown

Viola, pepperoni pizza for under 400 calories. My wife makes this on Friday nights. I look forward to it all week. Better than most chain pizza restaurants in flavor.

Sorry to say this but I have literally never seen a fat person actually transition to a normal weight person at the gym. One time a regular, older guy maybe in his fifties, got cancer, disappeared for six months, came back looking like death itself, his hair had gone white and was cut short, his skin looked like an onion's skin stretched over blotchy veins, I swear to god he had aged 20 years, and he could barely lift a 7.5 pound dumbbell. He went back at it though and, I'm not going to say he looked like a bodybuilder ever again, but after a year he looked like he didn't just crawl out of the grave. He looked like a regular scrawny person. Just takes persistence. Something overweight people, please don't take this personally, don't have.

Chronic does not always mean you have an issue for life. If you read a dictionary... man I don't fucking know how to explain this.
I'm not saying that what they have is as bad as what you have, I am saying that they have it to a different degree for different reasons.

If you were to look up depression in a dictionary you will find that it is a specific word for a specific feeling.
Without that word, there isn't a great word for that feeling.

Furthermore, I think that without enough care, letting mild depression go too far for too long could lead to permanent damage.

I think that so long as feasible, we should try to address it without medication. Especially with some of the shit they use to treat psychological disorders right now.
