Shocker for Shockwaves, not Shocker for electricity. He vibrates the air to send out waves of force the blow shit back. No electrocutions involved.
>>

What bugs me the most about that is that she usually does have a supporting cast, its just the next writer throws them away in favor of their own OC's.

>>
>>101625639
Electric fucking up her powers happened way back at the start of the volume when a Hydra dude took her out with a taser. The retcon probably won't happen but if it does it certainly isn't happening in Champions.
>>
>>101625639
Call me crazy but I don't think the pre-recorded ball is going to produce new revelations in her origin. Not to mention the Inhumans tested her blood in this book. It's entire bases of why when went from getting transforming into couches to big fist girl. Retcon or not Willow isn't the type of writer to gloss over that.

yeah I just thought this being the issue of "oh no, my powers" had strange timing with the one thing Bruno finding (out of everything) is an X-Men textbook/orb he never apparently used. But then again, that's comic books.
>>
>>101626694
The X-Orb will no doubt help Bruno solve Kamala's power problem, but it won't actually explain her origin beyond what's already known.
>>
>>101626023
>Call me crazy but I don't think the pre-recorded ball is going to produce new revelations in her origin.

What do y'all anons think her origin will be when she's added to the MCU in 4 years?
Mutant? I really don't want her in X-Men.
Her dad got cuckolded by a Skrull?
>>
>>101627301
She will be the skrull-kree hybrid Mystique was originally suppose to be

Which would be technically correct without binding her directly to that clusterfuck failure of a show.
>>
>>101627191
How would it?
It would take a huge infodump of new insights into a globally relevant topic within 616 if this contains applicable information on how she might not be Inhuman somehow.
And that won't be done lightly.

Also what the other poster said, if the US wasn't toppling government's over strategic alliances throughout the 60's and 70's we wouldn't be having this conversation.
>>

Which brings her inner circle up to them, Bruno, and her mother.
>>
>>101624040
>>101624064
Seems like Kamala's size changing powers are getting an upgrade. Probably because Wilson is leaving the book and she knows other writers won't follow her rules, so she's just giving a reason for her to be able to get Giant Man huge now.
>>
>>101630715
>Nasser
>liberal democracy
Pick one.
>>
>>101631118
Like Wilson followed her own rules to begin with.

Still, with any luck, it'll do away with that self-imposed nerf and allow other writers to use Kamala's full shapeshifting as their plots see fit.
>>
>>101631173
Regardless, I'm excited to see Kamala fist fight more kaiju.

>>
>>101631173
>Like Wilson followed her own rules to begin with.
She hasn't gone over her rules since she set them. Kamala hasn't gotten giajt huge or shifted into a non humanoid form since the first volume. Every writer outside the book makes her turn kaiju size. Plus they forget she can shrink.
>>
>>101631124
I said Nasser was a liberal. I didn't say Egypt was a liberal democracy. You can't have liberal democracy without liberal dictators first indoctrinating the future political class in liberal schools that dis their religion and then that trickling down to the voters.
>>
>>101631313
She said she still "had some coals in the fire" That sounds more like an unfinished business deal than a I'm staying forever thing.
>>
>>101631404
she said she's not leaving Marvel like right after announcing Wonder Woman
>>
>>101631407
They're more of guidelines than rules. She knows she can't control every writer's portrayal of her.

Also, she grew giant in the climax of the second Inventor arc, and also shapeshifted her nose off when talking to Skunk Girl. She can still use her full pre-nerf powers, but Wilson holds her back for the sake of plot.
>>
>>101631512
>She can still use her full pre-nerf powers, but Wilson holds her back for the sake of plot.
To fit teenage drama plots.
Seriously, Ms Marvel is the Disney Channel budgeted version of her superheroics.
>>
>>101631512
>she grew giant in the climax of the second Inventor arc
That was a plot point though. It even mentions she grew bigger than usual because her friends were in danger.

When do you think Marvel will cancel her solo?
>>
>>101634174
With a movie coming out at some point in the near future, and after reaching more numbers as Ms. Marvel than Reed's did? Never. They'll just give her another creative team in case GWW decides she can't write her anymore but she pulls good numbers.
>>
>>101634244
Marvel keep saying that she selling good, but numbers tell otherwise.
>>
>>101634317
Or maybe, bear with me here, you don't know how to read the numbers. She pulls good numbers without relying on relaunching or special events, and her trades (the key to all of this) sell pretty good.
>>
>>101634244
>>101634370
Feige just said they had plans for her, not that she had a movie appearance in the cards. Either way any MCU film appearance would be years off. More pertinently, one of the people instrumental in her creation and push is a decently high exec at Marvel and backed their current EiC through the Akira controversy, being a lower-tier title her sales goals probably aren't particularly high, she does pretty good trade numbers, and is usually a top seller on Comixology (even though we don't actually know what that means).
>>
Shocker doesn't really know how to win, does he? He should just run instead of picking fights. But then again it just keeps happening to him.

Or covering for Israeli human rights violations in the UN, giving ample excuse for talk of Jewish conspiracy and antisemitism. Mostly to please Christian fundamentalists trying to bring about the end of the world.

>Saudis exporting their ultra-violent, ultra-fundamentalist, version of their religion worldwide, undermining countless nations and causing countless deaths
>Israel violates human rights while defending itself from those same fanatics, as well as from Shiite fanatics funded and sponsored by Iran
>people talk about a Jewish conspiracy, instead of talking about the blatant Muslim conspiracies

Why do people do that?
Hell, why did you even bring up Israel in an unrelated conversation about Islam?
>>
>>101641310
Because the power dynamic in the ME as a whole revolves around excessive American interventionism and their alliances serving as carte blanche for human rights violations and war crimes.
The whole shitshow is only possible because a strategic US alliance makes you untouchable and random invasions have thrown the entire area into permanent turmoil.
The Cold War thinking never stopped.
>>
>>101641370

>>
Would Marvel ever let Kamala convert to a different religion for controversy points?
>>
>>101643039
She really isn't the type, I think.
She doesn’t really look like someone who could be convinced of the greater truth of someone's religion, given that she has never shown interest in any sort of spiritual guidance so much as community support.
>>
>>101643303
But that's the character's agency, not the company's. They could whatever they want to get the headlines and sell some extra issues: say the usual alternative future storyline stuff where Kamala meets an older version of herself that works for the Vatican and converted because of some spiritual life experience.
>>
>>101643583
Religion still isn't the biggest deal in the book. That sounds more like Nakia than Kamala, who's just in it because of her family and the sense of community but has complained about the holidays and the things she can't do.
>>
>>101643806
It's less about how much focus would be put on it in the book and the headlines - again, this is just for sales.
>>
>>101643958
It's really dumb controversy though, no need for her or editorial to do such thing to the most famous and popular of the three openly Muslim characters.
>>
>>101643958
Yes, they could do that. But it is bullshit.
They could also turn her into a white dude.
But that is also bullshit.
There is absolutely no reason she should change her religion.
Plus her religion being a thing that makes her an outsider is something that defines her. To change her religion is a gimmick to a gimmick.
If Zoe would go Jewish and marry Naftali's sister, or turn to Buddhism, that makes more sense because she has no idea what she wants or who she is.
Kamala is super grounded in a number of inalienable identities with a strong self-image due to her hero identity.
The closest might be to support someone who is founding a super tolerant mosque and negotiating some religious dispute over it.
>>
>>101629460
Seems like a missed opportunity.
Even a silly wetsuit would make sense but just her clothes getting waterlogged?
