Not much to it, going through a sexual exploration phase so I'm frequenting european swinger sex clubs. It's very much full of older guys in a circle around you silently jacking off as you fuck. It's actually funny to see how dumb most dudes look following like lemmings behind anything female and open to play. It's fun to just talk to couples while catching a breath and something to drink in between sessions, and also incredibly awkward to be treated as a person after being just a sexual object.
All in all, ehhh. I'd rather be home reading comics most of the time.

>>102959033
One way or another, we get Mark Hamill saying "Fuck or be fucked" which ought to be fun

>>102959063
He has also mastered cloning and reviving undead soldiers. He's not as good as JJ, but he's a proper super scientist after all. Just a bit too lost in the past
>>
>>102959063
>I think the biggest surprise of the episode is that Doc made a teleporter that worked. What the hell?
that Teleporter has been a work in progress since all the way back to Season 2's premiere, it's a really deep cut
>>
"Gratias Ago Vos Can Nobis"

This is either "You can thank us" which means there is an error since "can" is not latin.

Or there is an error in that it should be "cano" which makes it, "You sing our thanks".

Anyone can go to orgies nowadays, just set up a fetlife account. The thing is you really won't want to go to an orgy with those kinds of people (just imagine the sort of person who would decide to hook up with random strangers through a fetish website, mostly going to be STD-riddled morbidly obese and socially awkward 50 year olds).

Someone is affording a new cocoon now. With transporter technology.

Also, the Monarch really won this episode. He gets to go back to his wife and "I toldja so" her, and he gets away clean with the Big Prize.

There was the line last episode about the loot you bring back bumping up your rank. Shame about Copy Cat's team, really liked them. Was hoping Driver X was going to be Hank.

I really wonder what this week's shirt is going to be. Options I was seeing were the Orgy banners or, hopefully not, Gary's dice shirt. Nothing really jumped out at me.
>>
>>102959574
Yeah, I thought they were playing the Illuminati a little too straight for this show, but that made it all worth it.
>>
>>102959626
>Shame about Copy Cat's team, really liked them.
Dot Comm survived, and most of the others' fates were left ambiguous enough that they could come back. Well, except Ram Burglar.
>>

This, Presto seemed more hurt than anything.
>>
>>102959638

Dot Comm is the one forgettable one. Presto was fantastic but it's Hamill, so we may never get him again. Ramburglar was sweet but yeah, headless. Copy Cat who knows, and Digger I just assume was dead since he got pulled back under by Brock.
>>
>>102959574
>I was iffy on the episode until the stinger.
honestly I thought it was incredibly lame and cheap

>>102959820

You'd rather believe Sheila still goes out and gets fucked by dozens of guys and that Roy Brisby is illuminati?
>>
>>102959696
Henchman Zero was fucked by Brock after passing through a ton of security systems, unless a character is explicitly killed on screen it isn't a guarantee that they're dead.
>>
Is Venture just not allowed to succeed? Every time he invents something great, the OSI shuts him down.
>>
>>102959820
I don't want another "corporations are all run by the most amoral, horrific people on Earth that make the bad guys look like angels" plot.

Sure, make the corporations amoral and assholes about keeping their money, but don't have them all be in a super secret world controlling club where they eat orphans and act all cultish.
>>
So what, is Rusty just getting his dick pumped forever now?
>>
>>102959940
when has that ever happened before now?
>>
>>102959113
>He has also mastered cloning

No, Jonas sr. and Ben did. Rusty had no part of it other than being a guinea pig for the research at one point. Rusty just inherited fully developed tech and put it to use on his own sons.
>>
>>102959235
Sure, change is too much trouble to be worth it, aren't we already living in a swell world ?
fucking hikikomori
>>
>>102960001
He didn't exactly invent the cloning but they took that away from him too. It's like the Ventures aren't allowed to utilize any of their cool technology without the OSI fucking them over.
>>
>>102959291
>Yeah that line is one of those, "Naw, don't release this tech that would make the lives of everyone better

It wouldn't though. It would only make SOME people's lives better. If something like that were released it would put millions of people unemployed. The OSI is right to tell Rusty to scrap it.
>>
And now we'll be poring over party screenshots for the next few weeks to see who we can find.

Put a teleporter on the moon. Teleport stuff to the moon. MOONBASE.

Put a teleporter on Mars. MARS IS OURS NOW BITCHES!

Seriously, this fedex shit argument is too small time for teleportation. Use it for big things, SUPER SCIENCE things. Done are the days of needing to send people on long rocket rides.
>>
Best of the season so far for me
>>
>>102960138
If it even works like that. I'm sure the next few episodes will be about how imperfect the teleporter given Doc's luck through the series.
>>
>>102960174
Worked fine for all the other uses it had in the episode. Odds are the Guild will install it on their space station base so they won't have to keep going on rocket rides.
>>
>>102960104
>Think of all the horse groomers and horseshoers our new automocar will put out of business!

Fuck that argument. Get them new jobs, find new work for them. Put them to work making teleporters. Hell automation is hurting more jobs than something like this would and that's something that'll put literally everyone out of a job.
>>
>>102960104
That's like saying we shouldn't have invented the printing press because it put thousands of scribes out of a job or how all this advanced farming techniques put so many farmers out of jobs (they all just moved to city jobs)
>>
>>102960174
Monarch's gonna have a tumor
>>
>>102960205
Have they even been to the base since the start of season 6?
>>
>>102959450
>yeah, unless you go to some elite rich people orgy full of hookers the guy to girl ratio would be terrible
Surprisingly, back when I was desperate enough to try fetlife (maybe four or five years ago) it was actually way more women than men at the dungeon meet-ups (it was one of the rare few dungeons where they actually allowed you to perform sex acts on site too, most have rules against that). That said these are not the sort of women you would likely want to have sex with. Mostly middle-aged to outright geriatric, probably vectors for all manner of STDs (both minor annoyance tier and life destroying incurable tier), lots of morbid obesity, almost all either single mothers or cheating married mothers, poor hygiene, etc. In fact if someone ever holds a gun to your head and demands you assemble the absolute bottom of the barrel worst dregs of hookup prospects, fetlife would be your best bet.
>>
>>102960327

We nearly fucking nuked ourselves on several occasions during the cold war. We've left whole areas of land contanminated for years. Fuck we still bite our teeth today over Iran getting them, Best korea being able to hit us, or India/Paki killing each other.

See the US civil war for guns. Prior to that battles nearly as bloody masscures and to an extent were family events. However by time CW rolled around they had improved to the point it was an utter blood bath that no one had seen before.

You get teleporters rolling and nothing stops the tech from being perverted for use. Use it as a weapon, to steal, assassinate people, commit mass suicide, etc.

I always get really excited for these episodes because who ever does a lot of the direction in Season 7 really likes symbolism and callbacks.

Doc is the Unicorn, but so is Monarch, and so is the teleporter.
The episode opens on something really basic, and I might be thinking too far into it, but the scene with the apple as it's set up might be intended to look like the Unicorn in captivity.
Doc gets called a Unicorn by the simulation for creating the teleporter, Monarch is literally called a Unicorn by his wife, and despite the teleporter being called a "game changer" like 4 times it's actually a unicorn. Something thought to not exist that literally everyone wants to own because it's perfect and impossible and they want it in their control (their captivity).
In the scene where Doc is being told about the Unicorn in Captivity, you can see an earlier part of the story (the Unicorn in Captivity is a series, a story told through tapestries, not kidding. The captive Unicorn is the last part and there are seven other ones leading up to it) where the Unicorn is being beaten and caught.
And the final few shots of where the Monarch lands outside the building show that the area he and the teleporter land in look suspiciously like the fenced off area the Unicorn was in on the tapestry.

Also, and this is going to blow people minds because holy shit it's amazing, the "Unicorn in Captivity" is a seven part story told through tapestry (like I said earlier). And the story of the Monarch, the story of the teleporter, and the story of Doc (as well as the story of the whole episode) keep going through the parts of the tapestry story the "Unicorn in Captivity" is from. It blows my fucking mind how layered this shit is. The writing staff must be busy as fuck to make shit like this work.
>>
so Brock is definitely final boss right
>>
>>102961016
My take on it is, he DID speak to the illuminati, but the scene after when he's blindfolded in the car is when they put the VR thing on him. The "blindfold" is actually the headset.
>>
>>102961016
he was still in his blue speed suit when it cut to the VR reveal, so the the car ride to the mansion was also fake. he probably never left the room once.
>>
>>102961044
Seems likely; it would feel just a little too on the nose and cliche for the OSI to actually have their own Council of 13 equivalent. Like I didn't expect the fake out to happen, especially when DMM showed up, or at least after the guy who pulled her away had both gloves on and sounded suspiciously like Phantom Limb; like they were working infiltration even if she has the most obviously recognizable voice of the cast.

All this being said, I still feel like this was one of the weaker episodes so far in this season. Really good, really well thought out, not as cool as some of the others.
>>
Anyone notice one of the illuminati silhouettes was just Rusty with a wig and a fake moustache on from the Don Hell's episode?
>>
>>102961083
>>102961016
You can actually hear the machine powering up the first time the lights go off in the room where he talks to everyone. And a second time when the Illuminati disappear. So either ALL of it was a dream (very likely) and nothing he saw from the moment Brock left and the lights went off the first time onward was real or the Illuminati were real and then he was immediately placed in the machine the moment the lights went out a second time.

So in terms of the teleporter heist:
1. The heist begins
2. The teleporter is in the lab (a fountain can be seen as a natural habitat, a woods or an oasis. The teleporter belongs there, it's where it's most tranquil).
3. The heist goes forward and it's on.
4. Brock shows up, the alarms go off, and all manner of shit goes down to protect the teleporter.
5. The team manages to get ONE teleporter to the truck and Gary starts driving away with it (everyone else falls out)
6. The truck and helicopter crash outside Wide Whale's place, each with a piece of the teleporter
7. Gary and the Monarch wind up with both pieces in their possession in the garden outside Wide Whale's place.

In terms of Doc and the Monarch it's a little harder, so I'll just do Doc's to show what I mean:
1. Doc makes a teleporter and people want him stopped.
2. This is a bit of a stretch. There's a literal scene of Doc at a fountain, and because his story progresses so weird, I'm tempted to actually say THAT was his Fountain scene, despite it taking so long to get there. Everything up until then was his Hunt and some flack.
3 and 4. Again, his story is a little less clear, but I think Doc being Attacked and Defending himself are sort of muddled. It's like his attack and defense are just his wining about drinking balls and eating children.
5. She aint a virgin, but to Doc I think Dr.Mrs.The Monarch is viewed as some kind of "pure" or something. For sake of argument. The Virgin in myth like this typically represents some amount of sex or love anyway.
6. Doc is on the couch in the room, having more or less given up on not choosing and is given his choice.
7. Doc gives in and is showered with whatever.
>>
>>102961016
I think he never left that room and the VR showed Rusty what his subconscious would think who the Illuminati would be. Which is why Brisby and DMM were there.

Was copy cat's apartment number possibly a clue to how many copies he can make? 16 seems pretty good. It seemed like his character abided to some of the standard clone power weakness. Each one of the first half had a specific task and then the second half just fucked. Typical cloning incorporates consciousness splitting and maybe after making so many he just cuts lose and pats himself on the back. I was wondering why so many of his copies were just chilling at his place instead of acting as some kind of lookout for his ops.

>they are right though
^This. The entire US economy since the Nixon Administration (when we stopped honoring foreign exchange of US dollars for gold) has been effectively backed by the petrodollar arrangement where the Saudis force the rest of the world to pay them in US dollars for oil. If some new fuel or technology made oil obsolete we'd be fucked pretty badly, petrodollar puts most of the negative effects of inflation on the rest of the world so we can print as much money as we need and not end up like Zimbabwe (since everyone still needs oil and can't buy it without US dollars).
>>
>>102959515

>>102959859
Once Shiela showed up I was convinced it was a joint Guild OSI thing to keep the teleporter off the playing field and that she'd just slip Doc some knockout drug once he agreed to hand it over and he'd wake up back at the penthouse.
I was also pretty sure Copycat was going to be Peril Partnership and we'd advance that plotline
>>
>>102957541
I just wanna say how much I loved Presto Chango. The super-classic design, the exaggerated movements and walks, the bouncy animation, silly and creative power uses, and last but not least, being voiced by my main man Hamill.

I hope he's not a one-off character, since Brock's knife didn't immediately kill him despite being stabbed in the face. But if he was just a one-off, he's already one of my favorites.

>>
>>102961729

Depends on how much fun Hamill had doing it. He doesn't really work for the money since he's still pulling in 5% of Star Wars so he goes for fun projects like being the Joker, or appearing on freakazoid.

Anyone feel like the venture bros universe has been shrinking over the years? I mean with the guild and osi we see that doc is not the only super scientist with an archnemesis so it opens up the world on a superficial level, but we never get back those people messing with Doc like back in seasons 1 and 2. There aren't any Ghost Pirates or Scooby Doo cult gangs sneaking around the compound- everything has to revolve around either Jonas Sr. or the OSI/Guild

>The Illumanati is real, the illusion started when he "blindfolded" him.
No. He never left the OSI room. Brock and Hunter are still standing there with him at the end, and nobody actually appeared around him in that room when the lights went out, that's why when the lights went back on he's looking at the solid walls confused about where they came from and how they disappeared.
>>
>>102962476
They were monitors? I know they used the "not actually monitors" joke with the guild council but even if it was just a simulation there's no reason for them to be in the room with him

And surrounded by OSI troops with Samson right there and her superpower is "drinks lots of energy drinks."
>>
>>102962330
You could phrase that more positively by saying they've gotten a lot tighter and more focused. It reminds me of the way South Park changed from its very first season into later seasons. In both cases the art was a lot more rough and amateur-looking to begin with and the plots were kind of random and all over the place, and they both focused down into a cleaner and more consistent design and storytelling structure as they got used to producing everything over the years.
>>
>>102962511
Not sure I understand what you're asking. None of it was real after the lights went out. They were neither monitors nor windows. It was all just VR from that headsest.

>>102962554
I'm saying I don't know why he'd be confused as to where the people went when they were just images on a screen to him

I understand that some people like the changes that come with decades of continuity to build upon and an extended cast of callbacks and characters to call upon, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I missed the freshness of them traveling to some new place or dealing with a whole new entity apart from the main OSI/Guild clique.

On television yes, but you can still see breasts so long as the nipples are covered or censored in some way. Dick and balls get their scenes cut on television.
With butthole it never really gets focus mainly due to placement, it's kinda hard to get a clear shot of someone butthole unless they spread a little or just don't have much of an ass. Though you do see Anne Heche's butthole in the shot for shot Psycho remake so I think it's fair game in film

They're right in the sense that it would fundamentally alter the status quo, meaning that there'd be an incredible insecure transitory period where the systems in place adjust to the new reality, and so in the interest of keeping the peace and allowing for short-term security and happiness, it's better to keep things the way they are, where everything is a known quantity. In the long-term however, teleportation is a revolutionary technology that should exist for the myriad of problems that it solves/alleviates, and who gives a fuck what happens to the billionaires of the world

No it doesn't. They've all encountered every manner of ridiculously absurd and fantastical phenomena of super-science and the paranormal. There isn't really anything you could show Dr. Venture that would be too unbelievable at this point. Also everyone in real life routinely falls asleep each night and believes all manner of completely illogical and impossible nonsense as though it were real. After he makes it, he could let Pirate Captain deal with the nitty gritty as he takes in the adulation so he'd make the deals where FedEx doesn't instantly get fucked or they get a cut or something.

Do they though? COUNCILWOMAN Dr. Mrs. probably didn't even know the target of the heist was Rusty, or else she'd either tell Monarch to make sure he'd want to be a part of it, or wouldn't bring it up in the first place to not complicate matters between the two.
Out of the members of the team (minus Monarch) only Dot Com is confirmed to still be alive (IF Brock didn't get to her), and she's been most likely captured. Ramburgler and Tiny Eagle are dead for sure, Presto Change-O and Tunnel Vision are a hard "probably dead", and so is Copychad unless he can survive if there's a copy somewhere safe as a designated survivor. That's everyone we _know_ knew about the teleporter since it could've been their own private venture (pardon the pun), without anyone in the Guild knowing any of the details.
So it could've been a self-cleaning mess, if you don't count the fact that Monarch skedaddled with the whole thing.

>>
>>102964115
Well a lot of that is the inertia of bureaucratic organizations. Even putting aside the traditionalism and reluctance to change or adopt new ways of doing things that plague most institutions, the fact is that the bureaucracy itself often means that change, when it does come, is slow to be implemented.

It fits the old OSI, but less so the new one under Gathers. Wasn't he supposed to be cutting out the cruft and more git'er'done? Like, honestly, it feels like one of the bigger dropped balls. The OSI under Gathers doesn't seem any different than the OSI under Treister, and yet Treister was going on about how Gathers would be a breath of fresh air and a force of desperately needed change.

Honestly I'm bored with this bullshit. All this borderline-magic technology (and some real magic) and a TELEPORTER is what's going to destroy the economy? Lazy writing.
>>
>>102961587
>Maybe the OSI just took the joy can out of the curbside trash after Doc threw it away?
Honestly it's kinda seeming like anything good Doc makes gets taken by the OSI and just made to look like nobody wanted it. Cause fuck man, the teleporter works perfectly, the clones work perfectly (though they're not all Rusty's work, he certainly was incredibly proficient at using them), he can stitch exploded bodies back together and make them retain most their personality and intelligence, the joy-can did exactly what it was supposed to do.

The orphan sashimi thing may have actually been a nod to the joy can using an orphan's heart.
>>
>>102964344
The teleporter would completely remove the need for cars or other petroleum-based vehicles. If you think anything less than WWIII or something like it is the immediate result of a sudden and unforeseen stop in oil demand then you're an idiot.

It really is a game changer. Other than the cloning tech - which was illegal anyway - nothing we've seen would so completely and radically transform the world, and in such a dangerous fashion. Magic is arguable, but that's not mass producible. You need to learn magic, and judging by Twilight's comments about it, not everyone can - some people are just muggles.
>>
>>102962959
>He said that he and 'your father' perfected it

Incorrect. Ben's exact line is: "Me and your grandpap perfected genetic engineering because God, or whatever, gave us the perfect map to do so". It was all Jonas Sr. and Ben. Rusty had no input on it beyond being a test subject when he was a kid when Jonas and Ben were developing it.

Yeah but if you're running anything connected to the internet, firewalls aren't infallible, and deprecated operating systems have serious vulnerabilities that are no longer being updated proactively - look up fucking WannaCry, that shit getting past the firewall in ANY way would fuck up any XP computer on the network.

If your machine's running COBOL and a whitelist source/type/time only physical firewall you're probably safe, but XP and day to day activities is not a good idea for anything sensitive.

OSI is wrong though.
Teleporters would likely be too prohibitively expensive for most households in the first few decades, so transportation and vehicle industries would have plenty of time to transition into a post-teleportation society.
The shipping business would save tons by switching to teleporters, and delivery driver jobs would likely just be replaced by more warehouse positions.
The OSI is lying. They don't care about the implications this tech has for industry. They're probably way more worried about some super villain using the tech to teleport, say, a bomb into OSI headquarters and blowing it to hell.

That's 100% what I was referring to, VR simulation with orphan parts? I honestly feel like OSI's VR simulation thing there is reverse engineered from the joycan that Brock probably scraped together and shipped off to OSI. Treister did say he was making regular reports on Rusty back in season 3.

>>102966750
I still think it's miraculous how the whole world treats Rusty as a failure when he can fucking clone people, implant memories and personalities, bring the dead back to life almost entirely retaining their intelligence and personality, and I'm probably forgetting other shit that the government sweeps under the rug or gets overshadowed by his father's charisma making everything he touched seem like gold. Or his brother's more consumer friendly inventions.
>>
>>102966816

A lot of what he does is piggybacking or just outright copying his dad's stuff. More to the point though, Rusty tends not to succeed in the places he wants to succeed. Even when he does catch a break it tends to be unearned, like his sudden wealth and prestige which he got purely through inheriting a whole new life from a brother he wasn't even particularly fond of.
>>
>>102966855
The cloning definitely, but the memory implanting is maybe Jonas' idea with the learning beds, but could've been Rusty cleverly putting the two ideas together. Venturestein is a completely different beast than what Jonas accomplished with Venturion, and seems to work about as well - Venturestein himself has his own personality, Shaggy and Fred seem better undead than they were alive, the senator is still a damn respected member of society after being put back together.

Can't say I remember the Joy Can being related to Jonas' old work, he seemed far too happy to have orgies and casual drug use in real life to need a fantasy machine.

>>102966879
Didn't even think about the clone butlers or Shiela, the whole set of scenes is probably just littered with various traumas or memories for Doc, like a retread of Assisted Suicide but with slightly more positive things (not that Rusty has too many)
>>
>The Monarch and 21 accidentally stumbled into the most high-tech and sophisticated piece of super-science to come along since Venture Sr invented superconductors or something
Legitimately interesting. Though, knowing Rusty, it was probably flawed at the conceptual level somehow and Monarch just has himself an armful of dead orphan soul hallucinogenic cancer or something. Seems kind of weird for him to actually make something not only halfway decent but fucking amazing, but I'll roll with it if that's what they're doing.

Supposedly his dad never got the cloning thing to work. And the shrink-ray didn't work properly until He, Billy, and Whyte fucked with it. Remember they turned the giant guy into ant-man for no reason.

Aside from reanimating corpses and teleportation, Dr Venture did build the field for the Gargantua 2, a portable force-field that guy deployed inside The White House (that some dildo fucked up), walking eye with a death laser that cuts whales in half underwater, the locator that allows you to see back in time to find shit, and let's not forget the vacuum boombroom.

Also, super Rohypnol that makes any woman extra horny with anyone, but turns them into preying mantises afterwards.

How much of that orgy are they going to be able to show though? Cause damn.
>>
>>102967157
On dvd? All of it.
>>
>>102967057
>the shrink-ray didn't work properly until
It worked well enough for Action Man to shrink his dick at his birthday party.
>Dr Venture did build the field for the Gargantua 2
A bunch of super smart mutant college kids built that. At most Rusty started the conceptual phase but the mutants clearly had very little guidance in the actually building.
>>
>>102967044
>knowing Jonas he probably had enough dirt on the OSI for them to be relatively hands off with him

[spoiler}This is fueling my "OSI killed Jonas" Theory. Think Gargantua as a whole was an Investors thing trailing back to Jonas and getting rid of him but keeping the Gargantua was the biggest chance[/spoiler]
>>
Why has Brock been nerfed so hard? He loses fights he would have won in earlier seasons.
>>
>>102967276
>surviving after being vacuumed out into space
early Brock was OP as fuck
>>
>>102967205
>It worked well enough for Action Man to shrink his dick at his birthday party.
I just meant the controls were fucked. That thing could've been the size of a flea or if Rodney had it in reverse it could have been the size of the compound. Billy, White, and Doc fixed it.
>A bunch of super smart mutant college kids built that. At most Rusty started the conceptual phase but the mutants clearly had very little guidance in the actually building.
Fair enough. Doc just dodged radiation and used one-third of them as house-niggers, literally calling them Toms.
>>
[SPOIL}So the Monarch has gotten: a million bucks from Dean and a teleporter from Doc. Will Hank complete the Trifecta and what item will it be?[/SPOIL}
>>
>>102967287
I really miss his killing sprees.
>>
>>102960729
Does he still think they fucked when he got turned into a bug?
>>

Monarch will acquire the fabled hat of Enrico Matassa, which will grant him all of Enrico's powers
>>
>>102967331
He has made reference to it in the past
The one that comes to mind is at Hatred's place during that party
>>
>>102967317
Given how much they hyped up the teleporter, the Monarch is set for life with the guild.
>>
>>102967276
I've kind of internalized it as him being in the big leagues now. New York is where all the big boys hang out, so Brock doesn't seem as op as he used to be.
Plus, it's not like he was doing poorly this episode. He was blindsided by a guy with super strength, then got back up and killed two guys.
>>
It's really sad seeing Brock leave Rusty out to dry like that.
>>
Why was Dr. Venture so appalled at the Orphan Sashimi? Isn't he kind of used to using orphans as ingredients for things with his earlier super science stuff?
>>
>>102967508
He doesn't EAT them
>>
>>102967458
Yeah, Brock seemed a little cold here. I mean Brock and Doc have never been bestest best buds, aside from the boys I'd say they're more work friends who Doc orders around, but Doc hasn't had nearly any wins his entire life and the OSI just took it all away with a VR succ machine.
>>
>>102967534
>Brock and Doc have never been bestest best buds
Them reminiscing about all the boys deaths seemed to make them look like best buds
>>
>Toby Huss is in play this season
>An episode revolved around mistaking "PP" for "pee pee"
>Treister had the pee pee cancer
What are the chances Treister comes back and we learn that this whole time he was talking about some crazy super-cancer that the Peril Partnership gave him?
>>
Good ep overall. Nice seeing them do something with a tense escalating plot, especially after everyone spent so much time just farting around in last week's ep. It's cool seeing the plot go in some interesting new directions!

I'm surprised Wide Wale has disappeared though. The subplot about him wanting to crack down on Venture for not paying protection money never even got off the ground, and the Dr. Dugong thing was really anticlimactic after all of Season 6 dwelling on Wale so much.

I'm sure he'll come up again since Sirena is still relevant, but every new episode is making Season 6 feel more pointless all the time.
>>
>>102967554
Brock on many occasions has been shown to be aware of Doc's shortcomings and Doc is not above giving him a "direct order" when he wants something. They're in an imbalanced work relationship, history does not equate friendship.
>>
>>102967588
>Doc has ignored Orpheus's online friend requests
>Brock has probably ignored Doc's
>>
>>102967554
Brock also specifically did not report about Doc's clone farm. Brock thinks of himself like a father to the boys and at the very least agrees with Doc on the cloning thing, while he clearly doesn't think Rusty's a great person like when Rusty uses Sally to infiltrate Professor Impossible's tower
>Yeah but, even for you, this is low...
but he still values the family quite a lot, which Rusty's a part of.

He also didn't stab Doc to death when he found ORB like he probably was supposed to.

>>102960727
Without some technology that can interdict teleportation, it's an apocalypse as bombs are teleported every which way and organs are teleported out of people's bodies.

The movie wasn't as good as his other movies. It's 50% Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman arguing about nothing.

Sheila being an Illuminati whore this entire time was weirdly hot. Either as part of a Guild infiltration of the organization or just as part of her life. It's not too crazy when you remember her and the Monarch swing.

But the post-credit reveal was fucking great. I'm actually convinced the talking heads were real, but like Rusty they'd been duped into thinking they run the world by OSI and share the VR simulation.
>>
>Ctrl+F "Orgy"
>Only 6

Huh. I figured that'd been more of a buzzword
>>
>>102967580
Dude, like... dude.
>>
>>102968133
Huh, I assumed the entire Illuminati thing was just the VR sim, including Sheila and Brisby.
>>
>>102968133
I'm pretty sure they aren't real but I would have no problem with them being a bunch of super scientists the OSI has pulled this same stunt on, like this is just standard procedure for anyone who makes a "game changer" device. The reveal when they all find out they aren't hot shit rulers of the Earth but are just a bunch of middle aged nerds would be fucking glorious.
>>
>>102968251
It was, we just don't know at which point the simulation started. By the time we see Doc blindfolded in the car with Brock that's definitely already in VR world, but we don't know if the part where he's talking to screens was also part of the simulation or if that technically happened.

Even if it did we can't be sure those were the actual Illuminati (or if one really exists) and not just more fuckery to sell the whole thing.
>>
>>102968133
We really don't know that much about Sheila's private life before her career in villainy right? I can't recall anything about her family, upbringing, or past beyond the glimpses we've seen of her in college before joining the Guild.
>>
>>102968270
I think it started right when the lights went out. Have to listen again, but it almost sounded like that goddamn THE DEVICE sound effect, which got me thinking OSI shenanigans.

We know she has out standing student loans. But don't we all.
>>
>>102958976
Brock knows he has a thing for her, the whole Illuminati thing was an OSI set up.
>>
>>102959859
To be honest, before the stinger I thought she was infiltrating them, like the Guild and the Illuminati had a whole rivalry going on and the teleporter heist was part of it.
>>
>>102968549
I though so the same really until the end they came and was then, nope, this is actually a simulation

Well, the point is that they'd be aware that a guy who can make copies of himself is coming, so they'd raise their level of response accordingly.

the episode would have been fine with out that ending.
>>
>>102959063
Considering his brother nearly had one complete in the opening of season 1 and only didn't complete it because it gave it to Doc so he could work on the killing sound project? What is odd is the teleporter in season 2 was one of Doc's government contracts. It's possible OSI and the regular military and even government are at odds on certain points with the OSI considering it too dangerous despite the obvious military game changer or they were planning on having Samson secure it for them all along rather than destroy it and this was just to convince Doc to never make another.
>>
>>102969146
You would have crazy hips too if you'd been doing what she'd already done with that Zebra.

No it isn't. As far as we know Doc and Jackson will keep it going indefinitely.
