Post your AU/What If?/Elseworlds idea.

>90s-era DC timeline where Bruce Wayne's back never fully heals and Jean-Paul Valley remains as Batman
>>
>>99921493
Everyone is a horrible version of themselves
>Batman is a sociopathic pedo who’s obessed with young boys with black hair/blue eyes and uses vigilantism as an excuse to beat the shit out of people.
>Superman has a God complex and only pretends to be kind and gentle so he can get Lois Lane
>Wonder Woman enjoys violence and will use every opportunity to use her sword. Her dream is to live a world with constant war, blood and guts.
>>
>>99923031
So what are the robins in this universe? Does he force them to become his robin?
>>
>>99923096
Yeah basically or finds a way to keep them legally by adopting them which is why Dick and Jason were perfect candidates since they were orphans. Dick develops stockholm syndromes and comes to believe he enjoys it which makes him end up going nuts similar to the Millerverse’s Dick and Jason manages escape and runs away when he finds out his mom’s still alive only to be killed in an explosion caused by the Joker.
>>
>>99921493
AU following the exploits of the Robins and Batgirls where Bruce never becomes Batman.
>Dick is groomed to become Talon but breaks away
>Jason forms a new Red Hood gang focused on just protecting their part of city but it spirals out of control and get roped in shit WAY bigger than any of them
>Tim is rich white boy with too much time on his hands and falls down the rabbit whole of crazy conspiracies and amateur internet detective work
>Stephanie does her Spoiler thing but with the other "Robins" intersecting randomly.
>>
>>99923454
Would read. What about Babs?
>>
>>99923526
Honestly I don't know. I was never interested in her as I was the others so I don't much about beyond the basics. Trying to help clean up the Gotham PD I guess?
>>
>>99923526
>>99924247
I could see a couple different paths for her.
>She still engages and defeats Killer Moth at that masquerade ball thing, but does it in some flimsy costume mask instead, and when it inevitably falls off a huge target is painted on her back, which makes her end up in the wheelchair a lot sooner. Ideally, she still becomes Oracle here.
>She joins the GCPD to fight back against Gotham's corruption the conventional way and eventually ends up on track to succeed her father as Commissioner, kinda like Beyond.
>She still wants to do vigilante work, even if it means doing it alone, but without a Batman to draw influence from she looks to Black Canary instead; probably ends up with some kind of bird motif.
>>
Kal-El lands in Eternia and is raised by King Randor and Queen Marlena alongside his brother Adam.
>>
A Marvel universe where everyone is someone else.

>Frank Castle, after losing his family, decides the only way to exact revenge on criminals is to control them and thus becomes the Kingpin

>After years of work studying Howard Starks notes Norman Osbourne successfully recreates the super soldier serum and becomes Captain America

>After being ignored for most of his life Tony Stark tries to recreate his fathers work and ends up being driven mad by what he creates, leading him to become The Green Goblin

>During a field trip a young Flash Thompson bumps into Peter Parker, causing the spider to land on and bite him turning him into Spider-Man

>Peter Parker driven by a need for vengeance aftee Uncle Bens death uses labs owned by Norman Osbourne, and with help from Norman, to create the Iron Man suit

>Matt Murdock a superpowered blind lawyer becomes hired by the Kingpin Frank Castle to help with legal battles, at night he enforces Kingpins will as The Punisher

>Steve Rodgers, the first Captain America, is found frozen years after WW2 ends. He sees that Norman Osborne stole his name and his legacy leaving him as a footnote in history. He vows to reclaim his mantle and takes on his old nemesis' mantle, The Red Skull

You get the idea.
>>
>>99926079
>>Frank Castle, after losing his family, decides the only way to exact revenge on criminals is to control them and thus becomes the Kingpin

>>Matt Murdock a superpowered blind lawyer becomes hired by the Kingpin Frank Castle to help with legal battles, at night he enforces Kingpins will as The Punisher

I think these two are the strongest ideas of your list. The rest don't grab me as much, but these two are interesting if you're working with their personalities as they are but making more questionable decisions. Like Castle being the Kingpin wouldn't make him completely like Wilson Fisk, he would still believe in his mind that he's in control of the underworld so he can gradually destroy it, and he would avoid harming innocents when necessary.
>>
>What If Magneto Joined The Invaders

Basically the Invaders find Max in a concentration camp, he becomes part of the team as well as good friends with Toro and Bucky. Eventually Cap and Bucky are believed to be killed by Zemo. The Invaders find him, Human Torch and Toro try to stop Max from murdering him, Namor eggs him on. Max eventually kills him, which breaks up the Invaders. Max ends up hanging a bunch of nazis during the Nuremberg Trails with barb wire, finding Cap's Shield and sending it to Toro and then goes to Atlantis under the protection of Namor while plotting an attack on any of the nazis who may have fled to Argentina.
>>
>>99926149
I agree. In my mind Frank doesn't have his men go around robbing banks and shit but he instead he has his men commit crimes that further his long term goal. So while he is still a criminal he can justify it as means to an end. Things like stealing guns that someone else is smuggling into the city or robbing a corrupt businessman. Both of those, while crimes, Frank can justify as a way for him to gain the power he needs to eventually consolidate all crime families under his name and stop said crime. Whether he would be corrupted himself I don't know.
Matt's role is to either intimidate those who stand in his way or get revenge on those that have wronged Frank and his allies as The Punisher. And as Matt Murdock handle anything that he can as a lawyer.

Industrial era Marvel

>Tony stark is a wartime capitalist that got caught up in the Civil war and vowed to prevent such bloodshed occuring again, the Ironman suit uses electricity and tesla like inventions to operate.
>Steve rogers was a posterboy and war time hero and living legend for the Union army and fought the confederates Hydra agency in the civil war, he's since been repbranded ''Captain america'' by press and goverment as symbol of reunification.
>Hydra has gone rogue after the Civil war and stretches its influnce across europe and the Americas
>The Hulk is a by-product of the Hydra agency's experiments during the war and a dark shadow in the wartorn south, it's very much a Jekyl and Hyde thing though the hulk does retain several of his mainline powers.
>Clint ''Hawkeye'' Barton and the ''Black widow'' are a sharpshooter and double agent turned wild west outlaws, together they blazed trails throughout the wild west.
>Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr both sat at the feet of Charles Darwin as he proscribed his theory of evolution both have taken it to radical conclusion that a new age of mankind is fast approaching and dispute how it should be tackled, Erik belives (as always) that mutants are the superior and should found their own nation, Charles is a Marxist and belives the intergration of Mutantkind is integeral to ensuring the proletariat succeeds
>The Fantastic four are high flying european adventeruers and scientists who's adventures and daring expeditions have captured the imagination of the world, on an expedition in the arctic they were exposed to cosmic rays to which the recieve their typical powers.
>Doom is a Balkans warlord who has pitted european powers against each other time and turned his nation of Latveria into an industrial powerhouse, he plans to bring about a ''war to end all wars'' with his army of metal men and mystic allies.
>Dr Strange safeguards the world from Lovecraftian horrors and Orential cults in true pulp fashion
>>
>>99926079
>Steve Rodgers
>>
>>99926267
Here's another thing, how does Matt work for Castle, does he know Castle's real motive and support it or does he think Castle's a criminal, and joined to secretly take him down from the inside?
>>
>>99926285
Cool, I would say you might as well try tossing in characters like Forge and Warpath to see how they deal with the westward expansion.
>>
>>99926318
I also wrote Osbourne at one point. Woops.

>>99926322
I came up with this idea around 15 years ago when I was 12. I have flip flopped on that part about 20 times. Currently I think it would be that Matt got manipulated into thinking Frank is doing the right thing by being left in the dark on some of it.
Frank would know that Matt won't go along with some of the darker things he has to do. So he wouldn't tell Matt that he had a man tortured for information on his boss but Matt would be fine beating up a few drug dealers to gain the same info. I think the story would alternate Matt and Franks POVS and end with the inevitable realization on how far gone Frank is and his attempts to bring him to justice.
>>
>>99926429
Forgot to add, I am not saying that this is a must but I figure that the Native American characters who got superpowers set in this time period might have something to say and do about that situation. Could lead to all kinds of interesting stories, and could be a lotta fun.
>>
>>99921493
What other 90's elements would be carried over? Superman stayed dead? Kyle is the sole Green Lantern? Artemis is Wonder Woman? Aquaman rocks the hook hand/shirtless combo?
>>
>>99926590
>>99921493
Jesse Quick is the Flash
Guy Gardner is Warrior
Arguably since Tim is no longer with Batman maybe Young Justice might've formed sooner
>>
What if Professor Erdel's machine snatched Jor-El off of Krypton just as he was preparing the rocket to launch his son?
>>
>>99921493
I have this story about Stark being a self-made man, and never having that accident. Due to that, he grows more and more self-centered yet empty, drowning his sorrows in hedonism, while climbing the corporate ladder. Eventually he stumbles on /x/ tier conspiracies, Lovecraftian Alien Gods, everything, and starts a descent towards madness. He still becomes Iron Man, but under different circumstances. In the end he loses it, goes full Transhuman, creates his own Rapture and starts doing Cleansings, resulting in a WH40K-sequence world, with his perfect city being something out of a Propaganda leaflet.
>>
>>99925909
I wanna see a mini for that alternate universe from He-Man/Thundercats. Or I dunno, maybe that scenario but with Clark on Eternia and Adam on Earth.
>>
>>99923031
>Superman has a God complex and only pretends to be kind and gentle so he can get Lois Lane

Isn't that every evil Superman done in the last 20 years?
>>
>>99926079
>Steve Rodgers, the first Captain America, is found frozen years after WW2 ends. He sees that Norman Osborne stole his name and his legacy leaving him as a footnote in history. He vows to reclaim his mantle and takes on his old nemesis' mantle, The Red Skull

You had me until the last bit. Unless there's some cosmic cube bullshit fucking with his brain or history going on why would he take up the mantle of a fucking nazi?
>>
>>99926712
That sounds so different from canon that you could just change the names and release it as original fiction.
>>
>>99923454
I got a suggestion for your idea. Bruce attempted to become Batman but the moment Alfred realized he was completely series he called Arkham, cause they do more than lock up super criminals after all.
>>
>>99926809
Because I'm too lazy to come up with an oc name desu. I came up with these a long time ago and outside Frank and Matt I haven't thought them through for shit.
>>
>>99926891
I mean Steve has gone by other identities other than Captain America. Nomad for instance.

>>99926285
>Industrial era
>Heroes can have secret identities if they want because the cameras are poor and DNA evidence can't be obtained
>Criminal gangs are a much bigger deal
>Guns are less accurate and take longer to reload so more powers can be useful in a fight without straining believability
>Recurrent villains could plausibly escape capture by the government for the same reason that heroes could keep secret identities
>Bank and train robberies could actually make you rich
>Society is nowhere near as litigious.

Spiderman and much of his rogues gallery make a lot more sense. Same with the X-Men.

Barman by Gaslight is already a thing but I would love to seen it fleshed out more. It's the one setting where Barman having Robins makes sense and isn't just reckless endangerment of minors because rescuing street urchins, teaching them how to defend themselves, and using them as informants, is probably doing them a service.
>>
>>99926900
I didn't know that. Tbh I don't read much marvel anymore. More of a DC guy.
>>
Stark is working on a Iron Man suit before being captured but is stuck on a problem. Powering the suit and trying to find a way for the wearer to survive use of it. He can't find a tech solution. The Physics just don't work.

But Magic could make it work. A Demon offers him access to magic, to cover his scientific failings. Tony says no ... until he gets captured and injured.

So Tony has both technological and magical foes, while dealing with a literal demon living in him that keeps him alive AND being Iron Man.

>Black Panther
>It's not total bullshit that nobody has discovered Wakanda until now
>They have only recently discovered vibranium
>Black Panther must find a way to exploit this new resource without arousing too much interest from Britain and France
>Resist those who think that they should try to expand their territory and subjugate their neighbours
> Try to tip the Berlin Conference in your favour, possibly starting a war between European powers in the process
>Germans are the natural allies of Wakanda because they know that if it falls it will be to the British or the French

AU following the Rogues in a post-apocalyptic America after an unspecified atomic war.
>Captain Cold leads the group, consisting of him, Heatwave, Captain Boomerang, The Top, Mirror Master and Trickster.
>They're all regular joes who grew up in the wasteland with basically the same backstories as normal save for a few alterations (Boomer's parents were Australian immigrants before the war, Trickster grew up with a circus-themed gang operating out of an old tent, Top is a mutant forced to hide from persecution, etc.)
>Came together and found an old S.T.A.R labs building from which they now operate. They used the salvaged technology there to build their gear (Save only for the Top of course) and begin working as mercenaries
>Area of the wasteland is ruled by a mutated ape known as Grodd, who was a zoo animal that mutated after the bombs dropped and gained telepathic powers from his enormously swelled brain
>They are frequently hired by Grodd to take out mutants, gangs and other threats to his rule. These threats are all apocalyptic variations of common DC heroes and villains
>Eventually the group is contracted by Grodd to stop a superpowered menace called the Scarlet Twister, a destructive mutant who has been terrorizing the area, destroying every settlement in his path
>It's revealed to be Barry Allen, who used the cosmic treadmill to travel back in time to stop his mother's death but was subsequently trapped in the speedforce and driven mad, emerging into a broken timeline caused by his interference with history

>The Hulk is a by-product of the Hydra agency's experiments during the war and a dark shadow in the wartorn south, it's very much a Jekyl and Hyde thing though the hulk does retain several of his mainline powers.

For some reason this makes me think of Banner as a Confederate pharmacist, who is attempting to develop a formula to keep those uppity negros subservient and obedient to the white man, and as a result of an accident he ends up with the shameful ability to become a tangible form of his own perception of the black folks, huge, brutal, stupid and uppity.

It is the sort of shame he would absolutely try to hide forever.

>Wakanda is now closer to the Congo
>was first reached by Muslim missonaries who had limited success, the Ottomans sent a expedition but it was soundly defeated, as a result Wakanda remains predominatly Totem Fetishists though they have a muslim minority who pays highly for the protection of the black Panther
>rumours of Wakanda eventually reach Europe and its implied that that is what spurred the scramble for Africa.
>Steve rogers recieved his shield after tracking tracking Hydra agents across Africa, they planned to turn Wakanda into a slaver state and install a puppet king, together with prince T'Challa he thwarted the plot and recieved his shield as a gift.
>T'challa recieved a European education relativly incognito but struggled with certain perceptions of Africa, as his coronation approachs he plans on bringing Wakanda to the world stage and establish it as a nation on level with Europes great powers with a little help from Germany

>Thor and Asgard are very real but exist apart from earth as per Ult marvel, when Thor is summoned by english occultists he becomes trapped in midgard and has to struggle with a world that has left behind the Savage ways he was use too.
>Midgard is essentially nordic Valhalla complete with Trolls, goblins and a land of the dead.
>Loki eventually finds Thor in midgard but instead of revilling the new world that abhors savagery and indulges in pomp and appearnce Loki adores it.
>Jane Foster is the daughter of one of the Occultists that summoned Thor and is briefly seduced by Thors simple ways.

He was never raised by the Kents. All the information he learned came from the Spacecraft he was in as a baby that directly beamed it into his brain. He crashes in the arctic where he lays for well over twenty years until he's discovered by a Lexcorp expedition. Superman awakens and goes about trying to instill his sense of order upon the world. He builds his fortress around the shuttle crash site and dedicates himself to restoring earth as New Krypton but has difficulty doing so due to his innate alieness, lack of human social skills and charismatic leadership along with the pure logistical impossibility of the task. He falls in love with Lois and tries to convince her to bare his offspring but she turns him down constantly. Lex is the antihero keeping Superman in check with his stache of Kryptonite along with funding countless supervillain programs in order to find someone that can hold a fight against him.

>What if Peter Parker was the Punisher/What if Frank Castle was Spider Man: A single event that changes the course of two peoples lives. Frank Castle takes his family to the same lab where Peter Parker was supposed to be bit by the spider. Instead it's Frank who gets bit, and immediately crushes the thing before thinking no more of it. Peter never becomes Spider-Man, instead he starts to take up wrestling as a jobber before developing some actual muscle and acrobatic skill. At the same time Frank begins to notice he can climb on walls and has a distinct sense of danger before it even shows up. Both of these men face the crucial events that changed their lives, however with very different outcomes.
>When Peter finally comes across the man who killed his uncle, the boy takes his revenge, murdering the thug with his own gun. At the same time however, the day that Frank and his family are at the park turns out much better than it should've. With Frank's Spider-Sense and enhanced agility, he's able to save his family in time, and stop the crooks before any more harm is done. Now both men walk different paths, with Peter using the skills he gained as a wrestler and some hunting trips with Uncle Ben to take New York's crime syndicate down a peg, while Frank uses his skills he learned in Nam(or war), to wage a personal, yet far less bloody war against the Mob.

A world where the Waynes were actually poor and they visited a musical comedy as Bruce loved acting and drama and wanted to see the performance. They are mugged after leaving, robber thinking they are rich and kills Thomas and Martha when they claim they have no money. >>99929191
You should play up Harv as being 2 sides of the same coin by having both do things for similar reasons. >Elseworld where the ages of the Robins are reversed.

Damian becomes the first Robin when he goes to live with Bruce because it's the only way Bruce can think of to direct his deadly training and violent impulses. After Damian grows up and becomes Nightwing, the prodigy Tim Drake reveals that he knows Bruce's identity and claims that "Batman needs a Robin". Jason is taken in from the streets several years after that, and Tim, busy with his Titans, passes on the mantle. After Jason is murdered by the Joker, Bruce spirals and swears never to endanger a child like that again. But after witnessing the death of Dick's parents and taking him in, the cheerful young acrobat brings a ray of hope back to Batman, and to the Robin name.

I picture this as a miniseries where the first issue begins with Bruce discovering that he has a son, and the last issue ending with Bruce's supposed death and Damian and Dick teaming up for the first time as the Dynamic Duo.

Iconic events like Death in the Family/Under the Red Hood would also be altered due to the age swap, with Talia resurrecting Jason as a way to get back at Bruce, taking his son in the way that she viewed him taking hers.

The Justice League would never come together as a permanent team without Superman there to inspire hope and togetherness. Kara, consumed by rage and grief at truly being the last Kryptonian, would take up the mantle of a Red Lantern. Lex Luthor would become an Iron Man-eque hero in his own right with no paranoia about aliens driving him towards evil. Batman would become much more reclusive, almost never leaving Gotham. And on it goes, with some changes good and others most definitely not.

I imagine that the story would end with all the changes leaving the Legion's future completely unstable, forcing a now adult Clark to go back in time and try to fix things by introducing himself as Superman in this world where heroes have been already known and established. It would be ambiguous as to whether or not he succeeds though.
