For non-enhanced heroes, how many years can they realistically be active with all that wear and tear that they accumulated over the years? Their physique peak also can't be that long given they are physically active everyday engaging in life threatening activities.

The professional career of a Muay Thai boxer in Thailand is around four years. They fight when they are kids, and fight in amateur matches, but are usually retired around 25 years of age

I think that he doesn't go out as often as we think he does. Cuz if you think about it, pre-Flashpoint Batman ends at about issue 713, right? Year One starts at 404. So that's 309-310 issues of his stories. The typical arc lasts about four issues so you divide that number by four (though there's some that last a lot longer), and you get something roughly rounded to 77. We gotta double that number for the instances Bruce has to deal with something cuz of the stories present in Detective Comics, so amount of each separate case he has done goes to 154. Add like 50 to that number for other side shit like Batman, Inc. so it's at 204. Add another probably about 77 for Justice League, so that's at around 281. 20 more for event comics shit. We are 301 arcs. Let's say each of these story arcs lasts about a period of about a week if we were to average it. 301x7 is 2107 days. So he's involved in action in his career for about that many days. BUT, his career has gone on for about 15-20 years. That's still a lot of time and more than covers the 2107 days. Between these are the occasional petty crime he finds while scouting, none of which are represented as ever giving him too much physical strain if at all.

Not only this, but there's also a case in terms of Knightfall where he's shown to be tired as fuck when he does get in the rare situation of having to go more continuously for crime fighting.

A somewhat weird comparison, but the wear and tear fits imo: some of the better more fit pro wrestlers were able to do matches that cause relatively high physical strain for a good bit of their career, being able to accumulate ~2000 matches within a similar 15-20 year career span. They are also able to do it with the added caveat of a crazy touring like schedule and often unhealthy drug habits. Comparatively if anything, a peak fitness human like Batman would then have it easier.

OR they probs got some comic book medical tech that makes things easier or the author doesn't care
>>
No power armor or tech enhancements? With PEDs and top notch medical care, they should be retired by age 40, 35ish for females. They won't be living a comfortable life afterwards tho.

Man, it's crazy how, if you just throw a shitload of numbers into a long paragraph, is almost sounds like something that isn't utter bullshit!
>>
>>99926342
Oh and I forgot to mention that for Batman, he's been involved in incidents that literally healed him through magic (like in Knightfall), and he also wears a batsuit that grants him protection so certain things don't fuck him up as much.

this is what you guys don't realize
at least for batman, he doesn't want a life afterwards

Sometimes I wonder how easy it is for them to swing between buildings like spidey without injuring themselves.

You will never convince me bruce doesn't juice. That niggas on super-science tier meds and the entire bat-family (as well as the JL) benefit from his own self experimentation.
Of course, he's still going to be way fucked up if he makes it past 50.

They used anime logic where martial arts makes you superhuman

However, MT is focused mainly on endurance and just whittling down your opponent with low kicks. Boxers last much longer despite being a more explosive and dangerous sport. If Muay Thai fighters followed more MMA style rules it would have a harder point of entry but professionals would have longer careers
