What impressive shit have you seen chinesium do lately?

You know all those scissors with broken plastic handles? Their metal blades are tool steel. You can make knives out of them.

>>1276845
You should bump threads that you don't want to die.

Feel free to turn this into some relevant thread about shipping containers. I just proved to myself I am still a newfag and am ashamed.
>>
Not chinesium

But I made a toilet plunger out of a broken shovel, a zip lock container and a screw once.

Middle of the night brother needed to poop and way too proud to poop in a bucket with the toilet clogged, and no stored were open to buy a plunger. So I made one, worked pretty good.

I bought drill bits for concrete, made out of chinesium from Aliexpress. They were like 2 dollars for 15 bits. Free shipping!

They sold them under the name of "Super High Steel drill bits for concrete."

Jokes on you, I used it to make 3 deep wholes to a concrete block and it actually worked. And it still cuts! It really is a high-speed steel...

Yeah, but you need to put a shot of black into about 1/3 a ton of imitation crab meat and then neck yourself

Mujingfang plane blades are some kind of magical chinese HSS that isn't garbage.

Knockoffs of Mujingfang planes also are some kind of magical chinese HSS that isn't garbage.

They take hours to regrind the bevel and another few hours to sharpen but then can go to down on tropical hardwoods.

I don't remember the technical name of the actually-good chinese tool steel but I will refer to it as AdaMaotine from now on.

Next time I recommend a spoon or a butter knife. Significantly easier and far less dangerous

You're sharpening wrong.
>>
>>1277408
and this children is why you buy aluminum pipe wrenches and not cast iron
>>
>>1278510
Mujingfang blades are a fairly standard HSS.

HSS is designed for the grinding wheel not the bench stone and they are a fair bit harder then your old W1 stanley blade.

Use a diamond or ceramic stone and take the blade to the stone as soon as you no longer get a clean shaving, should only take a few minutes to bring back to sharp.

There is also likely something wrong with your sharpening method or your plane setup if you need HSS to plane those extra dense woods, W1 and O1 work those just fine.

>I used the wrong tool for a common household job because im poor and/or stupid. Look how funny I am for using the “Chineseium” meme! Haha!
