Are puttees consider effay?

Going hiking and thinking about wearing these with the exact some boots but with tan pants.
Finishing it with just a white long dress shirt and black skinny belt.

Looks great.
But I’d prefer grey pants like the pic.
Have fun.

What if the puttee is green like pic related

Would tan be the better option or still stick with blue?

I'm putting a dress shoe to perfect the theme of the era with the puttee.

I guess to top it off.

I'm rocking this hat to match with everything.

Or maybe get a newsboy hat.

My problem was matching the pants and the shoes, not the puttee.

The hat looks too modern for your theme. Looks more like a cuban socialist hat. Green is good too.

You can't wear white while hiking. And not dress shirts either. It's gonna look filthy and tattered in seconds. Other than that yes it's effay if it looks modern/functional enough and not LARP-y. I see a lot of people wear stuff like that while hunting here because it allows more efficient movement through brushland. I would combine with hiking pants that aren't too neckbeard-y, normal hiking boots and a knitted sweater. And a rifle.

Alright then I'll settle for a newsboy hat

>>13377638
That that case, I'll wear a safari formal shirt then. Maybe in tan as well or in a darker tone.

At this point, I'm basically gonna be dressing almost exactly like a doughboy minus the hat and jacket.

If you wanna look like you're about meet your maker at the Somme River on 1 July 1916, please go ahead n wear them
>>
Shit man, and people think I'm a LARPer. I got respect for you doing this though.
>>
>>13377638
This guy is right for the shirt.
But I don’t know I can see your first idea work very well with a white dress shirt.

Yea and I never LARP, I just saw the puttee as a neat alternative to long cowboy boots and then boom I fell in love the doughboy-core
>>13377854
Alright well from the looks of it.
The Puttee I'm getting is green
With Black Edwardian Style Oxfords Boots
Skinny Black Belt
Tan Trousers

What type of shirt/color should I wear to match it all?
>>
>>13377589
post fit, nigger. nobody ever posts their actual puttee fit.
be prepared for a bit of stiffness, dont be disappointed if they start to come a bit loose.
>>
>>13377589
I wear these for hkes, but for little else. it's fun, and they are comfortable. Sometimes, for colder days, I would just wear them beneath some of my looser pants, as socks, rather than over.
>>

Yes the European man has worn those for well over 2000 years you should honor that tradition
