OK can explain for you.

In the bench press, your range of motion is reduced by lowering the bar to your massive rolls of fat and fat ol' tiddies, rather than to your chesticle muscles underneath the fat. The extra weight of flab on your bingo wings adds to the difficulty but this is more than compesated for by rom reduction.

In the squat, you've got ginormous rolls of fat compressing in your belly against your thighs and on your ham hocks and calves that allow a little more rebound on the bottom, like a squat suit made to look like flesh. Yeah you've got more pounds to lift on your body but again, same diff as with the bench.

Deadlift, not so much.

Generally, any extra weight subtracts from the ability to do the Olympic lifts, and generally the guys don't get as fat in the SHW as they do in PL. The women, that's another story, I suspect they get super fat in the top weight class in order to try and hide the masculinizing effects of the drugs they're on, Robles just finished a suspension before the Olympics last year.

Right so I built a homegym and in UK. By far the best options are either Strengthshop or BulldogGear.

I went with bulldog gear in the end and would recommend. It's literally a rogue clone but for UK, by far the best I've seen, quality better than strengthshop and also the cheapest for what I needed. (Squat stand, dip wall thing, plates, non power bar, spotter arms, bench etc)

Another nice thing is that they are growing bigger and offering more items identical to rogue but cheaper price in UK.

I spent months autistically looking so I'm sure these are the best options. (Although, a full cage is probably cheaper from strengthshop)

I'm not sure if strengthshop save much from a quote, but if you need a lot of homegym items, it's worth contacting both companies. I saved a lot of money with bulldoggear because I just contacted them about offering a discounted price since I was ready to get almost everything from them.

Yeah thats why I'd recommend strengthshop for a cage if you had space. I just never had space for a cage, its why I had to buy a stand with spotters and some wall mounted dip handle.

I do wish I got a cheaper bar though, I didn't buy a strictly power bar since I do a lot of cleans and other movements more toweards general strength, I actually have an eleiko WL training bar right now. Really its great, but I can't help but wonder if its worth the extra £300 more over a cheaper bar in the long run.

Also the humidity in my shed has just fucked the bar up completely which isn't a problem since I think I like the character it gets from the patina and I'm pretty sure I could always scrub it down to make the knurling like new but its something to consider if you haven't. (Which I didn't)

Hey guys, has been a while since I last posted here.

I've been doing deadlifts with a mate and he tells me that somehow "my hip gets sucked in" during the deadlifts, that my first rep is always fine then it gets a little worse.
So after a few sets of not finding the exact way to stop it I took a video. Long story short; Can you guys tell me what's wrong with my deadlifts?

I had some mild hip pain two days later so the guy is probably right.

Yep, I was too shy to begin doing any compound lifts when I started, but the first I tried was squatting. Picture is me from January, no pictures of my legs from then but they were just as skelly as my upper body.

I've gotten really addicted, I go to the gym 6-8x a week now, have gained almost forty pounds, shoulders have broadened, shot up four inches in height, lifting has basically started a second puberty for me.

I only bench or OHP 1-2x a week each, everything else is squatting and accessory exercises for that.

I went from 3 plate for 5 on squats to 4 plate for a triple during TM and a 7 kg bulk.
Decided to ditch it since VD takes so much out of you and doing it on a cut seemed like something doomed to fail.

I found that doing more volume at moderate intensity will keep your gains intact if you can recover from it.

You're lifting with your hips first, Which means you're doing majority of the lift with your back and putting yourself at risk for injury. I had the same problem and widened my grip which made me pull back into the bar making it pull up against my legs and making me use my legs more to pull. Would recommend trying.
