9 years in the gym here.majority spent in two different gyms.Root for these people, only about 5 maybe 10% tops make it.But, it's a very powerful thing when someone does. When they start... Obese, broken just a fucking sad cunt. Body and mind are fucked.Then some time passes, 3 months, there they are on that fuckign treadmill sweating like a pig, 6 months. They look better, the work is starting to show.. You actually take interest and hope they make it.A year passes, you have witnessed a person who is going to do it.Then sometime they disappear, its tough because they have so much weight to lose, you just hope they didint give up. Because they will die.But every now and they. Someone does it and they become a regular a person you see all time for years and years. Those people are strong.This is legit like 3% of all the people ive seen come in go.Life is hard.. But it can be done, you never too far gone.

I avoid the gym like the plague between 3pm and 6pm and there are still rarely this many people inside. I don't live in a huge city though.

Not at my gym. Now that I think back we didn't have a particularly big surge of people last year or even this summer. It was a little more crowded than usual for a while but not catastrophically so. I'm kinda hoping for some NYRfags because there's very few chicks there as it is.

Just don't be scared when you get there. They have these things called "barbells" which are kind of like smith machines except you have to actually hold the weight up (wow!).Don't worry though you'll get used to it.

>>43894704>>43895724>>43895758Okay so a bit more in depth.neck extension 3x15 reps, 1:20 restneck flexion 3x15 reps, 1:20 restlateral neck flexion 3x15 reps, 0:30 restAlternate each side in between rests so:Do left side, wait 30 seconds then do right side, then wait 30 seconds and do left side again etc. etc. until you have done 3 sets for both sides.Perform these exercises 2 times per week.I've personally found that if I do less rest than this I cant add reps or weight and progressive overload stalls, and I dont wait 2 minutes because its an accessory exercise and it'd make my whole routine take too long. Try for yourself, make your own decision, obviously whats optimal in terms of intensity/volume for your neck muscles is an extremely under researched topic and there is no definitive answer, only opinions.ON SAFETY:This should not in any way strain any joints or any part of your neck. There is zero risk IF YOU DO IT RIGHT. When doing these exercises make sure you are flexing your neck muscles constantly, at the bottom or top of the rep there is no relaxing and letting your spine/joints absorb the load of the weight. When doing neck flexion and neck extension, TUCK YOUR CHIN. Basically stick your chin back, and give yourself a double chin, ensuring your neck muscle is flexed and your spine is protected.
