>Omissions
-9800X3D: ~10% improvement in gaming over a 7800X3D (which is still in production)
-9060xt 16gb: Performance variable compared to 5060ti, consider cheaper second hand options like the 3080
-9070: Currently more expensive than the 5070
-Q27G40XMN: Early shipments had firmware that effected local dimming with no way to update, otherwise considered a great monitor for the price.
-"Futureproofing": Nvidia gpus in general have been aging better than Radeon regardless of vram or marginal differences in raw performance

Leave any constructive suggestions for edits to the op. Is slowly being worked on.

Imagine if mouse sensors worked better the more layers of padding there were stacked underneath them. You'd have progamers/streamers running setups that resemble the Princess and the Pea.
>>
>>107203827
You fuckers are so fucking retarded. I know Reddit is fucking retarded, but I would have thought you guys would be smarter.
A million small writes is not going to kill your fucking SSD. Those log files are less than 10kb. AMD is not the only one doing this by the way. A mid range SSD usually has 200TBW before it's considered 'bad'. That means SMART is going to give a WARNING that your SSD endurance are getting low, that's not the total amount, it can reach 500TBW if you push it.
10kb is 0.00000010TB. You have 200 TBW. It means it needs to write 2 BILLION times before you get a warning.

So no, your log files aren't killing your SSDs. It would take 10+ years before you see any wear on an SSD just for the log files.

This thing just came out and it has 4,800 TBW.
SSD longevity is not a fucking issue at all nowadays.

Does the manufacturer of the gpu matter?
Like asus, pny, gigabyte, zotac etc ...
>>
>>107204001
For the base GPU card itself, no.
If you want extra features, then yes.

AMD piggies are still oinking for FSR4 on RDNA3

Bigger heat sinks so better cooling.
Better OC, like bigger power limit.
Bigger VRMs.
RGB.

If you don't care about any of these just get a founders edition card, if you can find one.

Once you try oled, it's over
you are forever cursed to be a slave to it
you might try and cope and go back to lcd and inferior displays, but in the back of your mind you will always know it's pure shit
lcds are too slow, tvs too large
I kneel, I admit defeat
I will go back to a 27"-32" 240hz-540hz QD/Tandem 4k/1440p OLED, there is simply nothing else
I was already at endgame, I might aswell just admit defeat and join the Republic right now
only now there is the question if 500+hz is actually more preferrable to 4k, or if 1440p really looks that bad and the hz does not outweigh it
I undervalued hz and 0 smearing, it's important
it might be over
I should have bought the g81sf 27" or two of them when it was on sale for 499€, will literally never see such a deal again, could have even peeled the matte coating
>>
>>107204181
OLED freed me from CCFL slavery, I can finally buy new monitors after using same old shit for over a decade because literally every LED LCD was worse for my use case.
>tvs too large
It's the opposite, 42" TV freed so much space after using dual 24" I don't even need desk as big as before.
>>
>>107204208
I was considering taking the C4 42" pill, but had to test if 55" is viable first
I know now that it's just too big for no reason, not sure if 42" will be better since it's woled+144hz max anyway
might aswell go back to a 27-32" at this point
>>
>>107204208
I even think dual monitors would be more preferable, I think single screen window management is literally gay, so a larger screen would not really add anything either
I think monitors won
I don't even know if I think gaming on a larger screen is better
truly over
this might be the end of shilling the tv pill

File: My First PC Build.webm (2.76 MB, 1280x1280)
2.76 MB
2.76 MB WEBM
I'm completely new to PC building, and I got all of the parts from a random pcpartpicker list I snagged from an anon's post almost a year ago while lurking /v/ (I wanted to try to build a powerful gaming PC that costs less than the shitty $2,000 MSI MPG Trident 3 10th prebuilt PC I bought in 2020, and the anon's list was perfect):
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QgJGb2

I managed to assemble the PC a few months back and I tried Windows 11 on it (I despised it so much), so I put Linux Mint 22.1 on it instead. However, since this was my first time building a PC, I didn't know what I was supposed to do about the BIOS updates and settings, and there was way too much conflicting info everywhere on the internet. Most people were saying to updoot to the latest BIOS version, so I downloaded the latest stable BIOS file for my MB from the official MSI website, but that's where all of my problems began. After updooting, I noticed that if I disable secure boot and/or delete the secure boot keys, the text would start changing to chinese letters and the BIOS eventually freezes and locks up, and I would have to force a shutdown. I ended up making this meme because of it (I used shotcut):
https://files.catbox.moe/tgczp0.mp4

I've read so many bad things about the B650 Gaming Plus WiFi MB, and I'm considering switching to a different AM5 MB (looking for something that has good stability, good Linux compatibility, compatible with current parts, and no built-in WiFi because I'm sensitive to EMF). I'm also probably going to switch to another distro because the latest versions of Linux Mint is shit (21.3 was the last good version), and I'll give Arch Linux another shot before trying Cachy OS, but if Arch Linux still hasn't fixed the PAM bug (instant password lockout when using sudo or syu commands even when the password is typed correctly), then I'll have to go on a hunt for another distro. Picrel is the PC I built (first time I've ever built a PC).

I was thinking about just going to Microcenter tomorrow and buying (almost) everything I need for my PC.
Or should I waitfag for black friday deals? Will there be significant discounts?

Pretty sure I ordered the 9800X3D from that listing.
It's the image in the OP.
All the serials check out, it came in a tray and seems genuine. Won't know until I get the MOBO and PSU later in the month. But, it's not a brick at least.

cheapest 5070TI in germany seems to be 750€ so for that price would be a steal, the question is "how used?, what model? how comfortable are you buying 2nd hand tech?" etc
>>
>>107204494
there are plenty of listings daily of all kinds of models some as low as 400 but they get sold in like minutes
