How could we improve the posting experience on /g/? My suggestion is the mods should start deleting low effort threads, in other words, do their job and enforce global rule #6 and the sticky. But I feel this may be too much to ask of nu-4chan.

Thoughts?

While this would be good, that would mean mods would have to look here and I can't post architecture.

Bring back the /prog/. We need to split consumerist technology and 'real' software talk.

Mods just delete things they don't like, some day I was banned for violating rule 4, "Abusing code tags", but /g/ has only 3 rules.

ban tech support or consumer advice threads

especially ban flyover posters that do not contribute anything to the board, just shit up the board with the aforementioned threads while being arrogant and entitled to help
>>
>ban ban ban ban ban etc
Nah. I think /g/ is fine as it is. It's not often that mods pass through here so it's basically a self ruled anarchy with the occasional shitposter. I like it here right now.

I bet this thread is gonna last more than 4 hours before being deleted/moved, this is what is wrong with /g/ not even janitors come to clean this place.

There is a big difference between censorship and rules, if it wasn't for the later this site full of attention whores like the apple fags that shit up the board.

The rizen threads were good until the Intel shills started derailing them, same for coffee lake and so on, obvious shills should be permabanned but i bet they are pass user so they get overlooked.

I kinda agree and I generally don't like meta threads either, but hell, nobody is going to read them when they're on /qa/. At least not the people who actually dwell here most of the time.

I've seen porn threads lasting over 2 hours here, even with constant bumps.
>>
Has anyone noticed the sneaky /pol/ threads with a valid tech related title but a /pol/ related picture that ends up derailing the thread? These constant threads are proof that /g/ is being raided, mean while mods are banning Sakura fish on /a/ and 2am threads on /jp/
>>
>>63320087
blindfag, here.
I didn't have anything against there being one meta thread per board and I agree that moving all meta threads to /qa/ makes it difficult to discuss board-specific stuff (especially for smaller/slower boards). If anything, I think they should just put a single meta sticky for people to post in, janitors can trim the fluff in it now and then as things get changed/implemented.

But seriously, it's right in the middle of everything when you get on the board. If I can see it, OP should've as well.
