Who else was smart enough to make the move?
>>
it's just a phone, why do you care so much which brand is it
>>
>>64123203
Upgraded from Samsung S7(screen broke and water got in the phone so it didn't work at all, what a shit phone) to the IPhone8, this thing is incredibly fast. I did end up downloading stuff like gmail, drive, and google maps, because it's fucking better, but in terms of hardware, Apple is second to none.
>>
Tfw was never poor enough for android
>>
How away stupid shill
>>
>>64123260
Because pajeet wont be able to feed his 10 kids if he doesn't shill expensive phone she never even saw in real life to idiot westeners
>>
I kind of want to upgrade from my Galaxy S3 to a new iPhone but then I'd have to convert all my music from FLAC to mp3 and fuck about with iTunes for everything.
I'm losing faith in Samsung, regardless.
>>
>>64123317
>screen broke and water got in the phone so it didn't work at all, what a shit phone

Got the 7 plus a couple weeks ago, love it. Way faster and smoother than my OnePlus 3T. Even the google maps look better on iOS. I finally get the love for imessage.

downside: had to get used to no back button. that's it though.
>>
>>64123367
But there are alternative iOS music players that support FLAC
>>
>>64123510
Neat. I'll just have to figure out how those work then.
>>
>>64123473
What's the appeal of iMessages anyway?

It's the same as any other messenger application.
>>
Unironically me. Though I still use a majority of Google services. The experience on my 6s is just fine desu
>>
>>64123560
Well, having gone from Android I was used to the app being slow. They always took a while to open my messages.

iMessage is fast and clean. I like sending with effects, and I like having "Delivered/Read" confirmations. Oh and working group messaging.
>>
>>64123367
You can either convert it all to ALAC or just use a third party music app that uses FLAC.
>>
>>64123367
i use google drive for all my music and videos on my Iphone. You just have to set the files to "offline" mode, which essentially just downloads the files to your phone.
>>
>>64123593
Cool, good to know.
I just use Facebook messenger for things like group messaging.

However, I realize I'm on /g/ so the majority here might treat Facebook like the plague.

>>64123203

Who would have guessed?

>New BMW 3 series outperforms two year old Kia compact
>>
>>64123719
I upgraded from my Note 8 to an iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 is wayyyy faster, apps open effortless, and imessage is amazing

I'm never going back to Samsung again!
>>
There is no way to escape the botnet on iPhone and there is no way to install the Orgzly app, that's disgusting.
>>
>>64123819
And you can't install syncthing so there is no point in iPhones.
>>
>>64123837
>syncthing

lmao sorry but i looked it up and LMAOOOO sorry i don't need a shady cloud service to store my loli
>>
I moved the other way. iPhone 6 to S8. I had Android devices for several years for personal phone but the S8 is my first Android work phone.

The performance hits over time and the OS limitations on iOS versus Android on flexibility got tiring. I'm very happy with my S8 and don't regret switching from the iPhone at all.
>>

>Thinking you can just try your troll post again, this time with a little common sense in device comparison

No thanks. Take your bait elsewhere.

Also:

>You must be 18 to post here
>>
I had many androids.. disappointed , so much malware, nothing works, ads everywhere

buy iPhone, pay a little bit premium but what you get in return is totally worth it... it's a value purchase

all clean, intuitive, snappy, perfect

never going back to shitdroid again
>>
>>64123879
>i don't need a shady cloud service
syncthing is litterally the less shady cloud service you mongolean
>>
>>64123260
Because I don't like Itunes. I like just putting my music on my phone and not having to worry about whether some company thinks my music's okay. Drag and fucking drop, simplest thing in the world, and Apple manages to fuck it up with constant updating
>>
I regret moving to ios myself. The operating system is restrictive, halve my bluetooth devices don't work with it, updates are designed to sacrifice performance to maintain battery life, no sd card slot, can't move files from phone to pc without itunes and if you connect to a different pc with itunes that isn't cloud enabled syncing automatically deletes everything from the other computer. Next phone I get will be an android again
>>
>>64123978
>not just using AirDrop and apple approved bluetooth devices
cloud > sd card
>>
>>64123903
You're smoking dick
>>
I use my phone for an alarm clock, for music, and for a phone. The main problem and irritant is the fact that my battery lasts pretty much one hour.
With this in mind, should I switch from Android to iOS or get an android that isn't almost 6 years old?
>>
>>64124045
>Needing a device to be approved by Apple to be able to use it
>Not being universal, like USB

>cloud > sd card
Tell that to the Fappning victims.
>>
My 5s had the glue holding the screen down just disintegrate and the top popped off and pulled the camera off-center and after a couple of days the screen just stopped working and apple wouldn't repair it, even though it was in a life proof case since I got it.
This is only anecdotal, and my mom has a 7 for work and I really like the screen, and how the phone feels in my hand and waterproofing without any little flaps to open every time I go to charge it.
I just can't deal with iOS, and that's just personal opinion, while I'd love imessage not to be such a killer app and be used by what seems like 95% of the people I know, I just prefer Android and the ability to side load and use old versions of apps and root and xposed, but if I had some carrier locked and bootloader locked phone anyways, I'd consider an iPhone.

Getting Apple to RMA my first SE (which died within 6 months lmao) was absolutely TORTURE

Eventually I got the fucktards to send me a box. All in all I would never deal with this trash company again.

Oh and my 5S had absolutely pathetic battery life and the performance faltered. Coming from iPod after iPod and iPhone after iPhone, this company can rot in hell.
>>
>>64123203
I moved from an iPhone 5S to a Samsung S8

Honestly, besides the people complaining about green text boxes, which is hilarious because all my texts are the same color (don't know why Apple put crayola malware on their phone), I wouldn't mind using either brand.

A phone is a phone, after all.
>>
>>64124328
It's even better because on almost all default messaging apps on Android you can change the color and theme of almost all elements of the app, I could do that on my Samsung slider phone too.

>>
>>64123203

Could someone please explain this whole Android vs Apple meme? Serious question. Is it just a bunch of fanboys with too much time on their hands?

I use Apple and I can every and anything I need: browse the web, take and edit photos, email/text/message, watch Netflix/Hulu/YouTube, create and edit Word, PowerPoint, Excel, music, movies, ebooks, take notes, todo lists, monitor health, create app folders, set wallpapers, set up widgets, get notifications, create short cuts on home screen, monitor weather and news, play games. Transfer information from one device to another.

Really... there’s nothing I need to on an android that I can’t do on an iPhone. I don’t really give a shit about “muh customization.”

I’ve never had an issue with Apple. Their CS is the best in the world. Likewise I’ve never had a problem with the Droids I’ve used either.

So what is it with the shills going back and forth arguing about hand held a?

>>
>>64126472

>>
>>64126352
All of your listed activities are limited in some asinine ways, yet shills like you keep saying that iphones can do anything, and when you're confronted with the fact they can't do something you're just saying that you don't need that. Do these $1000 facebook machines come with two-week post-purchase rationalization courses?

Who cares? If I watch it in a browser or VLC. I still get the content. It’s not a limitation. I’m betting you’re 15? 16?

The only limitation - true limitation - that we have is we can’t split screen like droids can. That’s my only complaint with Apple.

Like having to go through the hassle of constantly switching your D grade battery all the time because your phone manufacturer decided to turn on its killswitch? Luckily, Android doesn't have this problem.
