Better question: What makes Arch and Arch based distros the best?
>>
>>67603562
That's a stupid question!
>>
>>67603562
Pacman and AUR
Even tho Arch is considered "hard" it prevents you from running --purge
>>
>>67603498
I tried installng Arch while following the guide and I got a segfault upon bootup. Probably from one of the commands they wanted me to do with vague instructions on how to do it
>>
>>67603710
have you tried wikihow article about how to install arch linux?
it has images
>>
>>67603498
Arch is great but its not the best. I would never run an arch server for any serious work. But for a desktop distro. Brettty good

installing arch was easy. making it useful and user friendly was not. i have neither the time nor the inclination to learn something like that. sorry if i hurt your feelings OP
>>
>>67603860
you can't use blackarch repo in OpenSUSE
>>67603562
for me it's BlackArch repository.

i use arch btw
>>
>>67603886
installing arch is literally the hardest part.
all you have to do afterwards is:
- create your user and put wheels on it
- install DE + display manager
- systemctl enable display manager
reboot
done, just install software you want and that's it, nothing else, this was most fun part for me and easiest.

I wish I had a job where I install arch linuxes all day everyday...
that would be a dream come true...
>anon, can you work on weekend for extra? a few clients wants to rice their arch linuxes
>sure thing boss!

>honey, we have to delay our romantic trip to Paris, I have important work to do at job
this would be great...
>>
>>67603562
Easy, fast installation, bleeding edge software, best repos.

>archfag not realizing the power of Void Linux, which is truly KISS

Jokes aside, Void Linux is an interesting distribution, due to its init system (which is both modern and minimalistic, instead of bloated systemd or obsolete and also bulky sysvinit) and its BSD-like properties. It even has a port-based package manager!

How would this convince an Arch user? Gentoo and Arch are fundamentally different distros with very little in common at all.

Yes, because arch is for braindead nigger cattle

Gentoo is Arch without the edge and more customization.

>>67604855
No, it was to change his mind. Not just throw out a random distro that you like which could well have no appeal to him.
>>67604859
You mean the bleeding edge? Arch has never been about customisation and has very little customisation.
>>
>>67604902
No I mean the autistic edge, are you implying Gentoo isn't a bleeding edge distro?
And if you just want bleeding edge with no customization just use rawhide Fedora.
>>
>>67604902
>which could have no appeal to him
The main reason most of these NPCs use arch anyway is because they get sold memes of minimuhlism and custimuhzation, both of which you don't get from arch but do from gentoo
If OP is using arch because it's braindead easy to install he should just use Debian or fedora

Beeing bleeding edge is not a goal of Gentoo, nor is it part of their philosophy. You should stop thinking in memes.
>And if you just want bleeding edge with no customization just use rawhide Fedora.
Or Arch, which is better in every way.

You seem to enjoy pulling things out of your ass.
>If OP is using arch because it's braindead easy to install he should just use Debian or fedora
Why would he do that when he likes Arch? Just because you have a seething hatred for Arch based on silly memes that you enjoy? Get real for once. You don't have to pepper your speech with funny, little inside jokes.

I don't think you do. It's plainly obvious.
They were Jews, particularly from France who led the push for revolution.

I'm sure there are some legitimate complaints against systemD, but a lot of it is hearsay.
