Curious about the thoughts of everyone on this sample. I think I have an idea.
>>3287012Although it is elongate and fibrous, I would disagree about the asbestos. I collected the sample in a Cu, Zn skarn system. Any other opinions? I believe it to be malachite.
From my collection.Flourite, chrysocolla, malachite.
Collection continued.Almandine Garnet sitting on a backdrop of chrysocolla.

Green Myanmar Maw Sit Sit is actually a rock and contains two colourful and extremely rare minerals: kosmochlor (aptly named for being from the Kosmos (Greek) chlor (Latin:Green). Kosmochlor was deposited into the land that is now known as Kachin State northern Myanmar in an asteroid millenia ago. The second mineral found in good maw sit it varieties Jadeite, the rarer of two major types of ornamental jade (the ther being nowhere, hich is found over the world) used in fine jewellery and gem collecting.

>>3209870Geodes are formed when there is a cavity or space and minerals are absorbed from the surrounding water and crystallise in the spaces. The ammonite shell must have had gaps inside the shell when it was deposited. >>3212806Pyrite can form cubes as the iron and sulphur bond together and form cubic minerals.
