Sure, miles is better than me, that's why I decided to make a study of his style. What makes it appealing and why?

I learned it's all simple forms shaded prettily. This makes sorting out his head/face shapes incredibly easy. I do like the ways he renders renders natural backgrounds, like his heads it is easy to decipher the methods for a pleasing effect.

On the other hand. The bodies I found were incredibly lacking anatomically making them worthless to study. His paws kinda suck balls lacking delicious pawpads, and the hindpaws are sometimes weirdly shaped. The hair looks like a foam hat. The clothes simply extra thickness on top of the already defined body shapes. Also it bothers me it's just shiny skin and never any real hint of fur, makes me think they are people are wearing latex body suits.

In the TOS it states that you can't make it private and the artist can do what ever they like with your character and profit more off of you how they see fit. I know this seems like a lot, but please take into consideration that the majority of furries have really complicated patterns on their body or they have odd hairstlyes and proportions. Miles DF basically only draws dogs and cats.
The main thing about this that I don't like is that the pose isn't interesting and the fetish doesn't make any sense with the background unless there's more to it or someone gets the reference.

If you want to make cheap money, buy a $20 chibi base from a popular furry artist and spam $5 adoptables. Then, offer different views and versions for an extra price. You'll pay for the base in just a couple of wandering sales. You don't even have to draw extra parts on the ones that come with extra eyes and hair.

Generally Nintendo franchises are a goldmine they’re popular between all type of people therefore more likely to share it, something like Pokémon which gen 8 is right around the corner and will explode soon so I suggest drawing a comic/fanart if the soon to be shown new Pokémon as FAST as possible
People tend to look on social media as soon as they announce anything
Shows/games with big OC potential are also good like splattoon, Pokémon, SU and ect. Theses are more likely to commission you and if they like you enough will keep coming back.
Anime commissioner in my experience had always been more picky/cheap so I tend to avoid those and furry commissioners are more likely to keep coming back and giving tips the bad part is that they expect to becoming friends while describing why pregnant wolves makes them hard.
