the mian problem is that everyone wants to get a critique and get better but there arent enough people that want to spend time writing critiques and helping others get good

how do we fix this problem?

I usually leave a comment about my impression of the art and point out if there is something distracting / unpleasant but only give technical advice if I'm way more skilled than the artist I'm talking to or at least I'm absolutely certain I know what I'm talking about.

I dunno, I'm the one not getting critiques. But this time I won't complain, I'll just finish my piece and if it's bad people are bound to shit on it and let me know what's wrong. So that's the solution, post finished pieces not mere studies, people won't ignore them.

I don't know, i always get good critique on the anime study threads and i also help other lads if i know that i know better
just start helping others i guess

>how do we fix this problem?
You don't.
It's really up to the people if they even want to invest themselves in the overall art thing.
I can make the argument that even trying to critique someone can make your eye keen even to your own mistakes.
Or that giving advice to others actually helps you improve the most.
Of course, ignoring anything and then bitch about how they're not getting any better is the easy thing to do.
>helping others get good
The thing is, nobody owns anybody that.
If you're alone, it's foolish to rely on others help too much.
One should try to be as independent as possible, without becoming delusional.

I usually don't post critiques because 99% of people are /beg/ and are clueless and one post won't teach them everything, so it's Sisyphus's work, not to mention most are just hobbyists or dunning Kruger without dedication/passion. I wouldn't mind teaching someone but it should be a process to teach and arrange basics in someone's head, post about one work won't get through. I only post when I see someone who is experienced enough to not need their hand held.
