Something mellow while drawing. When I’m coloring that’s when I put on a podcast or something a little more engaging.
>>
>>3930277
My playlists of fun/stupid music. Either that or sometimes I'll just have someone on Twitch in the background that talks to the audience a lot while drawing and doesn't listen to music. So it's like I have a studio full of art friends I'm hanging out with.

There is a genre of girls on youtube making videos on solved and unsolved cases of murders that I am addicted to while I draw.

Am I drawing wrong if I can listen to a nice JRE episode while drawing? Am I not focusing enough or something? It doesn't really distract me like it would if I were programming or writing as far as I can tell.
>>
>>3930446
It's fine anon just because some boomer animator was too small brained to handle music while drawing doesn't mean it's bad for everyone

Although i also like to listen to joes podcasts, you have to take everything he says with a grain of salt. I mostly onl listen to is comedy realated podcasts, escpecially those with Joey Diaz. The political shit (for example Tim Pool, Benjamin Shapiro) mostly annoys me, so i dont listen to that.

I listen to whatever best suits the atmosphere and mood that I am trying to capture.

Also, if I myself am in a shitty mood I'll typically put all the old crooners and Elvis on, mainly because it always sounds like those guys are smiling while they're singing, and it just sorta carries through their music to me and I find myself in a more productive mindset afterwards.

Garry Schyman and other soundtrack shit like kajiura yukia on what I'm doing.

I was thinking of the whole stoned ape theory stuff and so on. On the political side im mostly annoyed by Jordan Perterson and Shapiro, I ean Peterson has some really great stuff on self improvment but the whole cultural marxist stuff seems a little vague fo me. Not saying that here couldnt be some truth behind it, but i dont wan to get into a /pol/ discussion on /ic/.

>Everyone once in a while a daily podcast has someone popular that I dont like

You sound like a woman.
If you dont want to start a political discussion then dont bring up politics. Joes political videos get a lot of views but they're a minority of the podcasts he does. Its fucking baffling that faggots have the audacity to whine about guests on podcast with over 1200 episodes.

Piano reductions of video game music.

Particularly this guy TPR on Spotify. I really recommend some of his "A Melancholy Tribute to: ____" albums. My favorite is the FF7 one. Video game music was designed to take a back seat in your mind, and these piano reductions of the themes are just really, really relaxing and are perfect for long drawing sessions.

I used to listen to music but now I have to hear someone speak. Podcast, let's play, comedy, whatever. It just has to be long so I don't constantly stop to pick another video and it needs to have dialogue.
>>
>>3930840
Thanks, I'm trying to draw a kid running but failing horribly.
>>
I just wish Joe would cross examine people more. like he will have a gust on then the next week another gust will say something contradictory to the other guest. but Joe will never say something like "hey, guest A had this opinion on this topic. What is your opinion on what guest A said?"
>>
Doesn't matter. I like to have a TV or movie going on while I draw just for some noise, music tends to distract me more. I also like to work while other people are live streaming because it feels cozy to draw along with somebody else (im also lonely). Sometimes though, I'll work in silence just because I get on a roll and forget to put anything on.

yeah i get what you mean. Joe can have whatever guest he wants.

Its my freedom to listen to the episodes i enjoy the most. I wont change my taste just to appease some random dude on 4chan

alot of true scary stories, podcasts, youtube drama/news,lo fi music, or learning stuff ex crash course lectures

I've listen to the same dad rock for all my life that I'm so accustomed to tuning out immediately, if I can't get any silence.
>>
>>3930887
he's not there for the truth, he's just there to talk to people and get their opinions out there. In fact it's best for guests to not get challenged, as to entice more famous people with the promise of free through-balls that makes people comfortable to go on.
>>

But only if I'm uninspired and just need to keep myself drawing. If I'm more determined I put on some soft instrumental or classical stuff in the background, something less distracting.

yeah, as much ad i dislike buzzfeed, their unsolved series is so calming to listen to while drawing.
Down the Rabbit hole is obviously the best channel on Youtube tho.

JOE ROGAN LOOKS LIKE A BOILED HOT DOG

Generally, something I don't have to pay that much attention to. I don't do audiobooks, because then I find myself paying more attention to the audiobooks, so it's generally music, or I'll just put some series I've seen a million times on Netflix on. And I stopped listening to really aggressive, dynamic stuff, like metal, because it's too distracting - great for working out, not so great for art.

I like classical, so I'll put that on, but I get that not everyone likes it.

I automatically shift my focus to talking or lyrics, and I feel bad not giving my full attention to music I enjoy (pure autism), so I default to ASMR that simulates some kind of body service (like a shave at the barber)/medical exam or environmental noise like the classic rainstorms or a creaking icebreaker. The kind of shit that makes me zone out and feel tingly IRL or that makes me feel extra cozy to be inside and warm.
