Any place in which the population has a lot of money, the prices for goods and services will increase. It's not a coincident that Norway and Switzerland is expensive.

That being said, OP is baiting and you should not encourage him by getting triggered.

>using Varg as sauce

I watched that vid. Varg compared Norway to France, and funny thing is: Norway used to be like France. It probably ended in the early 90's sometimes. Varg and Alex Jones really has something in common, both are conservative
>>
>>75047617
> population has a lot of money
have you ever checked the income per capita stats? switzerland is roughly same as the us. and ireland>norway
>>
>>75047763
USA has a lot of poor people, Norway and Switzerland do not. The average here is also what most people have, which means everyone will spend a lot of money on goods and services, hence prices increases. And as you can see here, the irish (IE) only consume about 70% of what Norwegians do in goods and services. This is probably true about americans too, but you're not included on here.

Anyway, you go ahead and ask your professor in economics, and take up the issue with him.

>>75046890

>>
>>75048315
We don't really have poor people in the same sense you are used to in USA. You do have the people who have no jobs, and they are poor-ish. But they get neet shekels from the government, which is more than the european average salary. There people will seem mostly like normal people.

Then you have the Rom people, they beg for money on the street. These are the real poor people, they don't belong anywhere and they just camp in the woods and eat pigeons from the parks.
>>
>>75048498
ok, how are they treated by others though?

Not him, but I must say that's "house" is highly irregular. You were saying something about cherry picking? Pic related is how completely average people live. The picture he posted earlier is for rich or upper middle class people.

However, extremely rich people in Norway don't actually live in super mansions like those you see in USA, for example in beverly hills and the likes. This comes down to Janteloven, which you mentioned before. But neither janteloven nor our ecomomic system is preventing anyone from actually getting rich. Billionaires still live in houses that would not seem like billionaire homes, because in Norway it will be frowned upon to stick out too much.

Just to give you an example:

This is the home of one of the richest people in Norway. And this guy is also the one who might care the least about janteloven. He is known in Norway to stick out with his spendings and living large lifestyle - still you could say his house is not as impressive or grande as a beverly hills home (owned by far less rich people than this guy)

There's not really anything stopping you from becoming wealthy here. Norway is actually considered one of the easiest countries in the world to become a millionaire and has more millionaires and billionaires per capita than pretty much any non-tax haven country. In 2015 there were almost four times as many UNHWIs here per capita as in the US.

UNHWI=People with a net worth of at least US$30 million.

>>
>>75050013
ah, great pic. these people clearly abide by the janteloven. modest but not poor. plus the nature adds 2 or 3 extra points.

>>75050175
what's the point in being a billionaire in norway then? i thought the stinking rich people around the world all love money and love spending money. are they being sneaky about that or what? this is steve job's house btw. does it look too big too you? i think the old jante would approve.
>>
>>75050465
tsk tsk but what about janteloven??? is it all fake then? just an illusion? lots of greedy people in norway? you are disappointing me...
>>
>>75050557
That house seem even smaller than my own. But I bet it has a lot more than the picture shows?

The point? I don't know. I must point out that inside their houses it will most likely look like something carved out of a dream. But they don't go about building 20000 square feet homes.
>>75050608
Do you understand what janteloven is though? You know it's not a law or some kind of rule/guideline that people follow I hope. The "law" is a metaphore describing a wide-spread attitude that sticking out and thinking you're better than the rest is not cool.

They do have yatches and airplanes, the billionaires. They spend money on something, I'm sure, but it's not spent on super mansions.

i dunno, here is an aerial view. looks pretty modest

> janteloven
of course i understand, it is not that hard. i am just saying the billionaire culture seems to be contradicting it. so it is just like in the muslim world. a lot of things are haram but if you are rich it is ok. and whatever they say about ""equality"", some are always more "equal" than others. so sounds like janteloven is about being cucked. "it is ok to be rich you just need to be a bit sneaky about it".

>they own airplanes but not mansions
this is funny.
