Nah it's not weird at all.
Lots of people drive trucks here.
Not as many people do compared to the Midwest or south.
But I'd say between 1/5 and 1-3 of the vehicles on the road are trucks in this state.
Trucks are very popular in the USA, no matter where you go.

And even though my truck is smaller (and older) than most other trucks, I'm probably one of the few people (at least where I live) that uses it for doing truck stuff.
Like off-roading, or carrying stuff in the back.

You just do it. Wise to get a travel coverage package from your car insurance if you do so that you're covered for liability and even for legal trouble if something happens abroad. Also the EU drivers license is accepted in pretty much all of Europe and possibly other parts of the world, but in exotic places you're advised to get an international drivers license which is obtained by mailing a copy of your national drivers license to some office in your country. It's not a separate license, it's just a standardized translation of your existing license.

I've always wondered how they handle compared to an ATV or jetbike?
>>
>>84224805
Depends on the model but my Yamaha in the pic handles nicely. Like with an ATV you gotta use your body weight a lot.
And the entire vehicle cuts into the snow so traction takes a while to get used to.
With some practice it's agile and fast.

I drive mine daily to work, about 55km.
Best part is that you are not limited to roads.
Any surface with snow is a potential road.
Biggest setback is of course no heating (you can get heated seats, grips) but It's alright with the right clothes.

They're basically like short estates. Large rear opening, folding backseats, easy to carry bulky stuff or pets. Sedan trunks are really limited in comparison, I'd never get my bicycle or bulk bags of yard cuttings in the back of a sedan, nevermind a dog. Only compromise I'm willing to accept other than hatchbacks and estates are fastback coupes and fastback sedans.
