>1991-2011
Ah yes when poles, nigerians and brazillians flooded and ruined this great nation
>>
Houses built in the late 1800s and early 1900s are the best quality
>>

Autists will masturbate over orange and green, blue is the way forward
>>
>>92102201
No, they just let all the foreigners have a spare room so they can play with clay while we learn the dead language.

This is the mentality that keeps europoor poor. Keeping old buildings because of ‘muh heritage’ and actually convincing yourselves they’re better, as opposed to razing them and building up-to-code, modern buildings, is the least technocratic living solution.

>britbongs buying houses in galicia

fuck
>>
>>92102274
In the south of the island I guess?
>>
>>92102420
They are comfy and can easely modernised
>>
>>92102420
old houses are more homely and human than the little shit hovels and commieblocks they build nowadays though

not everywhere is america, we don't have the space to build McMansions
>>
>>92102422
>in galicia
In Extremadura!!!
>>
>>92102420
>raze perfectly fine house made with bricks and stone
>replace it with wood shanty that will maybe last 60 years

G- god bless america
>>
>>92102420
>Just take consumerism into the next level... houses!
Americans.

Don't listen to him. Old homes that can be properly maintained are far and away superior to the modern PVC, white - flat walled, square and laboratory-esque, soulless, cheap rubber room "homes" they build today.

Pic related is late 1800s with stone and brick and mortar, custom wood trim, wood floors, cast iron and copper pipes, magnificent fireplaces and an almost organic, living feel to it's construction. These were more prevalent in big city American prior to WW2.
>>
>>92103159
Another here.
>>
>>92103159
Oh wow, such heritage, yeah no, I’d take a McMansion over that any day.
>>92102751
>replace aging building with new one that follows more stringent code
>to no one’s surprise it has better longevity than a house made by some dude who studied architecture over a long weekend two hundred years ago
Ftfy
>>92102874
>t. Two taps
>>92102730
Britain has the second least equitable land distribution of any country in the world. Maybe you can’t have McMansions, but you could get pretty darn close if you had somewhat equitable land distribution.
>>92102682
At great cost, at some point it’s just preserving heritage for preserving heritage’s sake.

Colonial instinct kicking in, this is just the beginning
>>
>>92103276
Most houses are already pretty good isolated and such things and only modern windown should be put in and some Windows are not that pricey
>>
>>92103359
Isolation is a false friend. Isolierung/Dämmung translates into insulation, mein Freund.
>>
>>92103625
Ja ih DUHM sorry but thx
>>
>>92102420
You havent lived in commie block from 70s
>>
>>92102420
better keep the old buildings than build shitty pseudocastles and pseudomansions
>>
>>92102420
yeah, let's just live in wooden temporary houses instead like in the US' suburbs
old buildings can be easily modernized with things such as thermal insulation, solar panels, and whatever improves their energy efficiency and igene standards
plus as far as structural strenght goes they are often better than modern buildings because people weren't trying to skim material cost as much as they do today in post-war europe

the only case your arguement is valid is in frequently earthquaked regions, houses there should be razed and rebuilt with modern anti-sysmic methods
>>

>Be Spain
>Build in the 21st century
>They are commieblocks
I hate this shithole
>>
>>92105036
Better build psedocastles and pseudomqnsions than pseudocomunnist subhuman blocks
>B-B-but we are ecologist and and we can use public transport better
>>
>>92105524
>lets build buildings nobody can afford in spain instead of space efficient apartments
>>
>be american
>house gets blown away
>>
>>92102109
To bad we just tore down everything old and built new building.
And these new buildings were mostly shit. At least they are well insulated and decent to live in, but the urban planning and architecture is close to a crime against humanity.
>>
>>92105563
>creates a real estate bubble thanks to the public administrations decide who and where can build, causing a bottleneck where only build the friends builders of the politicians, artificially raising the price for the shortage of land, and builders instead of making houses, obviously they make blocks where they can get more profit per square meter.
>>
Every city here is filled with these eyesores built in the 60's
