Apparently alot of people believe that this guy got acked by a car bomb in Moscow earlier today. Colonel Damir Davydov headed a department within the Russian MoD that helped to procure missiles and artillery shells

The ravages of chronic alcoholism and smoking on the neotenous russian male face.
The same thing that makes them produce stunning twinks when they win the genetic lottery and stay relatively healthy also makes them look like uncanny oblivion characters when that very much doesn't happen.

Wouldn't a .22LR gatling gun with very high fire rates be a better weapon to defeat drones?

Just make it as portable as it can.

Assign one guy in the squad to carry this weapon and make him carry a lot of ammo.

3000 rounds of .22LR should weight 12kg.

BRRRRRRRRRRRR on the drones.

Tungsten penetrates better. It's nearly as dense and much stronger. Uranium might be self-sharpening but without the mechanical strength to cut into armor this means very little. Really, the biggest advantage is that Uranium is pyrophoric, igniting when unoxidized surfaces are exposed to air. This gives DU a mild incendiary effect.

A lot of media degrees went into the armed forces, and it shows when you compare Ukie production openings to the lame 90s-looking ones Russia has.

What mildly upsets me is that Hezbollah drone vids look almost as good as far as opening/closing FX go.

>>65216556
A modernized American-180 loaded with tracers and extra hot rat shot would basically do what you want.

The problem with your entire premise is Russia doesn't actually care if these guys die. You need to realize that these guys are a modern form of penal troops. Everything about them is expendable. They're out there because they pissed off someone higher up, they're foreign, or they're not important enough to be safe from being voluntold to go die. The Russians wouldn't waste time or resources giving them tools meant to counter drones. There is no "squad". There's you and maybe one other guy with food and water for a day or two and you're told to "walk that way". Meeting other Russians can be every bit as dangerous as running into Ukrainians.

The entire strategy is creeping enough Russia aligned troops into an area to be able to say it's occupied without risking the loss of a large offensive.

>The extremely weakly armed frigates of class 125 in terms of air defense are to receive a significant increase in capability in the future. The armaments company Diehl Defence is currently working on equipping the ships with a total of 32 cells of Iris-T-SLM missiles. According to Diehl, it is planned to equip the frigates per unit with two new launch devices, each of which can accommodate 16 missiles.

>The air defense system Iris-T SLM was successfully tested for the first time in the shooting of the frigate “Baden-Württemberg” in Andøya, Norway, in autumn. According to Buschek, a prototype of the new starter is to be completed in 2027. The first test shot could possibly also take place in the coming year, according to the manager. Observers expect shooting on the high seas already in the 2. Quarter of next year could take place.

>As Buschek further stated, Diehl Defence is currently in contract negotiations with the BAAINBw on the new launcher. He thinks it is likely that the integration of the “Iris-T SLM Naval”, as Diehl Defence apparently calls the concept, into the future standard FüWES (leadership and weapons deployment system) CMS 330 of the Navy, will become a part of the treaty.

>In addition to the shooting of the Iris-T SLM from the new launchers, the integration into the Vertical Launch System Mk 41 by Lockheed Martin, which is also used by the Navy, may also be an option in the future. As Buschek confirmed, talks are ongoing on the industry side.

yea, Germany is a problem case because they have fucked up procurement system

>Lighter better
Obviously there is too light when you end up in a clearing or beam of light, but proper multicam is pretty good in most places.

Truthdart:
In true dense forests like vid you posted the camo minmaxxing doesnt matter as much as people care on youtube. Line of sight is blocked by terrain anyway, you could probably stalk pretty close upto someone buttass naked if you did everything else right. Its going to be motion, sound, silhouette and smell that gives you away first vs almost equally green camo variants.
>>
>>65222957
>Obviously there is too light
True, but Multicam bridges the gap between something like desert camo and M81
Only question is how you PID when everyone is wearing multicam, friend or foe.

that's quite the conspiracy, they'd have to tell the SCC to not side with them
it's not a slam dunk case for us, our arguments are actually pretty damn weak

so that would be a huge gamble for them to take, when odds are the SCC will side with ottawa
>>
>>65222945
>Amnesty Orders have been extended and set to expire 90 days following the date the Supreme Court of Canada renders its decision, which is expected next year.
Doesn't this virtually guarantee that they are conspiring with the SCC to shoot down the gun grab? Or at least they had the expected decision leaked to them ahead of time. Would be a great scapegoat since they can just pin it on Trudeau.
>>
>>65222967
they were going to have to extend amnesty regardless of the SCC case
worst case scenario the SCC sides with the government fully, best case scenario they give them a finger wag but things proceed
>>
basically the court case is all about whether or not certain terms used have a legal definition, the SCC may force the government to give them one, they will just need to rewrite things
you guys really don't get how this stuff works, it's not like america

Why do drone thirdies assume that we will not shoot back and they won't have to worry about their own AD and war spending?

And that's aside from the fact they there are many cheaper countermeasures so we won't actually have to spend high end missiles on their droones.

Okay, the math is that America relies nigh-infinitely more on the global economy than Iran does, meaning this state of affairs fucks the US far more than it does Iran. Trump is gonna get Carter'd long before Iran has to throw the towel if the strait stays closed. Seethe more about it.

KUSA were 1-1 except for full auto, Meridian is 1-1 (they bought KUSA tooling as far as I can tell) but I haven't had one in-hand to say 100% so don't take my word on it, WBP are the same as PSA where they're AKM spec with 90 degree gas blocks and 24mm front sight blocks. WBP's 5.45 and 5.56 guns are wholly proprietary as well.

Thanks for the info, hopefully KUSA in Georgia will get up and running, so it won't be the only option and having to spend $1800 just for a 100 series is stupid.
>WBP's 5.45 and 5.56 guns are wholly proprietary as well.

That's talking about externals. Furniture, mostly.
WBP 5.56 bolt stems are a unique size, they are 100% NOT compatible with standard AKM carriers, for example.
Their 7.62x39 stuff is AKM spec though.

Since this incident was treated far differently I'd say that the Apache pilot was too close to it when it was destroyed causing a mission kill to the aircraft rather than Iran managing to snipe an Apache even doing a semi predictable route with a shasneed.
