Have we seen any price increase on actual firearms?
>>
>>35407619

I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary. Prices always rise a little bit after a shooting. The Eye of Sauron is on on the bump stocks right now, however. The way the media has gone for them and the way the NRA has outright called for regulations on them means the panic is real for this one.

My bro bought one today for a lil over 400. He said it was super cheap, that the guy didn't know what he had (He was comparing it with other marked up postings), that he was gonna resell for twice the price. He just turned 19, just became hasguns.

Slide fire brand went for over 200 well before the shooting. In fact if you paid full price over 300.
Congress is unlikely to actually ban them, even though the NRA said "devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations.”
>>
>>35408327
Is there a reason why congress would be unlikely to ban if you paid over $300? Is the value making it protected or is it just cost prohibitive which would theoretically stop your everyday-joe from getting one?

The price of slidefire remains the dumbest fucking thing I have ever seen. THEY'RE TERRIBLE. They do nothing but make noise, reduce accuracy, and cause the trigger to ride the bolt home 3 times per mag.

I have heard one good argument for buying them though. IF the ATF decides to regulate them, they might allow current owners to register them as a machine gun. If that's the case, you'll have a $700 investment to get into the transferable MG registry.

I think it will be the same as what happened to Confederate flags. No laws, no ATF ruling, but Gunbroker and ebay will ban their sale, Paypal will ban their service for paying for them, and 99% of shooting ranges will ban them.

What I'm less sure about is what will happen to the manufacturers, Slidefire Solutions and Bumpfire Systems. At present, both companies have "temporarily stopped taking new orders," but I'm not sure if they would close their doors once they catch up to their backlog if there are no new laws.

MAN why is the firearms community filled with gaslit retards , they are scared of everything
>>
>>35421859
Are you new?

The end goal is the complete banning of all firearms. They know that they can't just do that outright so instead they're playing the long game with the boil the frog method.

Continuously ban certain features from sale. To avoid confiscation outrage, grandfather in existing double-plus ungood firearms, ban the sale of new stuff, and wait a few generations for the grandfathered equipment to get lost or destroyed by time.

They'll increasingly ban features until we're left with single shot break action firearms and then they'll push for those too. They'll do it slowly. Tiny steps towards disarmament with no steps back. Every time it looks like we're going to repeal their restrictions, they'll stall until a shooting event happens somewhere in the world and they'll fully bring the media to bear to tug at heartstrings and demonize law abiding gun owners. I wouldn't be surprised if these sort of people outright orchestrated their own mass shootings to suit their agenda.
>>
>>35422026

300 to 400 or so now, though right after the incident I saw a couple for near $1000. Gun prices seem, surprisingly, not affected. I freaked out when I woke up to the news, thought about running to Walmart and buying all the ammo before everyone else did, and then figured that's the logic that causes these things in the first place and maybe if we all chill the fuck out there won't be panic buys and shortages every mass shooting. Seems like it's working right now; not sure if that's because the left isn't in power so Congress seems less threatening to partisan plebs, or perhaps because bumpfire stocks are taking on the scapegoat role and leaving everything else safeish. Maybe we're all tired of having a panic dance every couple months and are too jaded to get into a huff, even when someone sets a new high score.

not sure why people are retarded enough to buy the stocks at that price when you can make one for a few buck in materials from the hardware store. Used a buddies bump stock, other than being fun and a waste of money it really had no use. Only reason i would care if they were banned is because we would have given the liberals an inch and opened our collective assholes for the mile to come.
