hey, i was wondering if anyone else had a clearing bucket? i just got mine in the mail today and was wondering what to expect?
>yfw its time for the clearing bucket thread
>>35415004im worried about having a nd when cleaning my guns.
>>35415039Protip: don’t pull the fucking trigger with a round in the chamber
>>35414918No because I know how to clear a gun.
>>35415082>>35415086says everyone shot cleaning their gun. whats the problem with having an extra safety step?
It seems kind of silly to me but id rather a gun owner be overly than under cautious
>It's a dry fire a clearly empty gun into a bucket of dirt episode
>>35415039>not checking the chamber before cleaning
>>35415104if you're incompetent enough to have a negligent discharge, you're also incompetent enough to not be aiming at that retarded little bucket.
>>35415104I clear my guns at the range before taking them home, but then again I'm a leaf so I guess my non-carrier opinion doesn't really matter.
>>35415104No. Eject mag. Empty chamber. It’s as simple as that.
>>35415145no you just stand over it you can't miss...but its the same principle of not storing a loaded gun. you can never be too safe with firearms
>>35414918nice try YMkys
>>35415199>negligent discharge>negligent dude, this implies that you forgot to check the chamber before you pulled the trigger. If you forgot that, you'd also forget your retarded bucketdude, maybe you shouldn't own guns. Or operate any heavy machinery.
>search clearing bucket to see if that's actually what I think it is>YankeeMarshall video promoting itFigures.
I've never understood these threads. Do people actually do this? Is this a joke?
>>35415264i found out about it after a yankeemarshall video and started to research it. >>35415251i have never had a ND and don't intend to, yet again nobody that does intend to...let me guess if you buddy hands you a gun and says its empty you don't check because your too cool for safety
>>35414918Why does this product exist?
>>35415321Because retards exist too.
>>35415331the irony is that they're even more retarded for spending money on this instead of learning proper gun safety
>>35415312>your too cool for safetyRetard confirmed. No. You check that it’s clear without aiming the gun at a bucket of dirt and pulling the trigger
>>35415369but what does it hurt?
>>35415391Good point. You want to waste your time and money and make other people think you’re an idiot then that’s on you, not me.
>>35415264The first one was mocking Yankee marshall, the second one was ironically pretending to do it to further mock him, the third one was beating a dead horse, and every thread since has been bait.
>>35415546I knew I was being B8edb. But arguing over this shit is genuinely making me wonder why the fuck we had to use clearing barrel’s at the armory and outside the PX in the military. It makes no fuckin sense.
>tfw you were in the first clearing bucket threadComfy times.
>>35414918Are you a poor dirtbag?Looks and sounds like you might be.Be honest.
>>35416230>poor dirtbag>needlessly spends money on shipping for a bucket ‘o dirt
>>35414918I'm gonna sneak in and fill that bucket with tannerite.
The trick is to fill your clearing bucket with tannerite so you will always fear NDing
>>35416325> shipping on a bucket of dirtWhat the fuck am i reading?
>>35415039Just check the fucking chamber and pop the bolt/dust cover/receiver depending on the gun. It takes like 15 seconds.
>>35415137>>35417750>muh press checkOK mallcop marty. Nutn unite
>>35415264The idea is, if you live in an apartment and you're gonna own guns and keep them loaded, you should have a bucket of sand in case of slam fires, accidental discharges while clearing a loaded rifle for storage/cleaning, ect. I.E when you rack the slide and pull the trigger. It was a fuddlore thing from the post-war days, and many makeshift Army stations and buildings would have these. If anyone was disarmed before entering an Army building or MP offices, or found to be concealing a weapon, the guards would take their gun and clear it. But, most enemy guns were cheap shit prone to accidental discharge (Nambu), or the guards didn't know gun safety and fucked up.If you're a generally competant person, you don't need one. But if you're a random fag tasked with clearing guns all day, you might fuck up if you don't know or care about guns.
>>35416325Are you retarded?Looks and sounds like you might be.Be honest.
these threads are embarrassing.
