>go to gunstore
>set rifle and $300 on table (unloaded, preferably.)
>beg owner to trade for Mossberg MVP in 308

that's what I would do, but for you already having the rifle, presumably wanting that make in that caliber.

>Primary Arms Scope
>Ching Sling
>cheap set of bipods

Swival bipod and some red dot or 1-4x.

Duracoat the stock black and add iron sights. I hate the baby shit color
>>

Leopold VX2 2-7x ($240), extra 20 round mag ($30), cheap nylon sling ($25), taco bell box ($5).

sell it and buy a better gun

Best cheap sling I have found is the Allen Quick Adjust sling. You can find it for around $13.
You just scored 2 extra Big Box meals.
You're welcome.

Are there any 1-4x that are literally "true" 1x?
Also, I have a fixed long eye relief 2.5x on a leverghat and I can use it with both eyes open pretty friggin quickly.

If it works, it works.
>>

There are true 1x/4x. Holo + magnifier.
>>
>>36788653

Sell it
Who the fuck would buy a 5.56 bolt action
>>
Primary arms red dot and 100$ worth of ammo.
>>
>>36793108
Varminters? People who think bolt guns are fun and have a fuck ton of 5.56 layi g around. New shooters and/or children that would appreciate the lower recoil. There is a large population of people who would appreciate it, even if each niche is small.
>>
>>36792706
>true 1-4x

Cool story but doesn't exist
>>
>>36788741
then a magpul d60, duh
>>
>>36793108

Because I have like 10k rounds of 5.56 and bolt actions are kewl. Also it takes AR mags so I can leverage all the mags I’ve accumulated. Mostly a side fun gun, when I actually build a 300 yard setup I’ll go 6.5 creed or .308
>>
>>36788653
Sell it and buy an AR
>>
>>36791020
This is why I haven bought one of these, no irons drives me crazy.
>>
>>36788653

>>

and

https://swfa.com/burris-signature-zee-30mm-rings-3.html

that way no ring lapping needed, and scope tube cant get crushed by accident

And the scope is pretty fucking fantastic, their bdc actually works very good.
>>
>>36788653
i’d buy it in .223
1-6x leupold
>>
>>36789332
so it can fail to feed?
>>
>>36788653
I live in a shit state, but can you get a suppressor and stamp for less than $300?
>>
Sell it, take the $300, work for a bit, and buy a Sauer 200 STR Match, a barrel in .308 and 9.3x62 and a .22lr kit and a Swarovski z6i 1-6x24.
>>
burris fast fire
betamag
tons of ammo
ductape to make a stickpod
>>
does that thing into stanag?
>>
>>36788653
> no iron sights

I would spend money to have someone put iron sights the the fucking thing.

Seriously, why do all sub 500 modern bolt actions come with iron sights?
>>
>>36795821
Mossberg makes a Patrolman or something, it's a 5.56 bolt-action with iron sights and a rail for scopes. 600-700 dollaridoos
>>
>>36798446
I assume you meant "don't come with irons". The reality is most people who get bolt-guns do so with the purpose of hunting or long distance shooting. For those purposes, glass >>> irons, so why not skip the middle man and just let them add whatever scope they want? Look at Savage Axis, they come with iirc Leupold scopes for a lot of their packages. Even CVA (the people who make those break-action single shot $250 rifles) come with scope mounts, but you CAN send them back to the factory to get iron sights fitted and zero'd free of charge iirc.

Return it and get a Howa 1500 barrelled action, along with a stock or chassis of my choice.
Best budget factory action by far.
>>
>>36798446
I'd be all over these if they had a model with decent irons.
