For normal uses, they are not needed and slow mag changes. Don't even consider any sort of active retention if price/airborne operations isn't a concern.

Posted this last thread and didn't really get an answer.
A while back in one of these threads I saw a chicom rig that was altered to have a larger pouch in place of the grenade pouches on one side, and also had some altered straps and such. Does anyone have that picture saved? I can't find it anywhere.
Pic mostly unrelated.

Depends on what you're doing. Tacos are probably fine for a SWAT unit stacking up on a house, but if you're crawling your ass through mud, maybe going inverse on a rope and bouncing, etc... having at least some of your mags retained may not be the worst idea, although I'd have one or two ready for quick draw as soon as I was outside the wire.

What do you keep in your GP pouches? I've got the dangler filled with medical. One GP pouch is filled with a little baby ifak (pressure bandage, quick clot and compressed gauze).

The other one is filled with an altoids can that has a few CR123s, 2032s and some fire making shit

I recommend if you're shelling out money, it's for something you won't regret buying and have to trade or sell later.

I need a riggers belt for my job, what brand/model is the best for the price?

I dont want to spend more than $50
>>
>>38260777
You hear a lot of people that say “NEVER USE THESE UNLESS YOU HAVE TRAINING!”. I think this advise is meant for the lowest common denominator, because I’ve watched the training videos for this and read the instructions, and it actually seems pretty straightforward and simple. If I recall it’s between the third and fourth rib, above the nipple. Idk if this is the rule, but I’ve always seen it done on the left side of the torso.
>>
>>38261174
When I got trained on it, I was told it should correspond with the same side as the penetrating chest wound.

I keep some in my IFAK but I dont know if anybody would be trained to use them on me if I needed it
