Interesting. Only reverse search that turned up a hit on the clear web was a single posting on S&W forum, presumably where you found it.

Did a bit more digging and found a bit more info.

originally posted here in PF ammo section: https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?28670-357-Sig-question/page6&p=680442#post680442

A good website, but completely filled with facklerites and cultish deference to GKR who is an active poster there.
>>
What .45 ammo would you guys recommend that is brass cased, decent quality, and is priced well enough i wouldn’t worry about blowing through mags?
Also if i’m going to go through a large volume of .45 should i start thinking about reloading?
>>
What's a good entry level 1911 that has a rail for mounting a light?
>>
>>38529646
>should i think about reloading

its not cheap to start out, infact to start out, it would cost the same amount as if you bough 1000 rounds, you probably dont have the patience for it, and you wont actually save money. i got all my NEW equipment free as a gift, and i really only saved maybe 60$ per 1000 rounds, it takes a while to reload those, so desu my time is worth way more than that, and what off time i have isnt worth sitting there reloading.

unless its something rare, or expensive, reloading isnt worth it to most.

>>
>>38529735
I gotcha, i just got a vector and was worried about running into the same problem i did with my vepr where i want to shoot slugs and expensive hot ammo and it goes fast.
>>
>>38529646
As said, not cheap to start, but I can load 45 lswc for like 120.00/1000.

Using a Dillon 650 I can load about 500 per hour at a leisurely pace. Tumble brass one day a month to catch up and it really doesn’t take that much time.

You’ll spend some time learning and dialing in your does, then you just load.

Where did you fuckers find your USP match triggers? How long did it take? I ordered one from eurooptic December of last year. I called them today and was informed that their last shipment was in fucking mid 2016. Has the American aftermarket been forsaken by the unompromising Hateful Kraut? Are we here just to suffer?
>>
Anyone manage to get a red river tactical holster recently? I ordered one 3 months ago and still haven't heard anything.
>>
>>38529921
And the trigger is phenomenal, among the best I've ever shot.

It's an American Tactical Thunderbolt btw, retail is like $600 but I always browse local pawn shops and found it at $350 and haggled down to $300. I'm disgusted by what they probably paid with how easy it was to get them down that far. I'd have gladly paid $400

Aftermarket sights are the big one for glocks. the factory plastic ones are shit. A WML or thyrm compatible light is objectively a pretty great addition so that you don't have to use a one handed firing stance. Other than that it's all preference, im not a huge fan of fiddling with carry guns too much, a minus trigger connector might be worthwhile if you really want a lighter trigger pull but i wouldn't bother with the aftermarket kits/replacements. The current hot mods are compensators and slide mounted RMRs, while they're nice they're hardly necessary and a lot of folks kinda scoff at them for one reason or another.

VP9 trigger is a bit heavier with a really hard, distinct wall, maybe check that out. It has a milder grip texture too, but the SK might be too small and the full size might be too big. Or do like anon says and lightly sand the M2.0. Or even find a used old M&P and put an Apex duty trigger kit innit so it's not shit.

I borrowed my friend's Gen4 G19 for a week to see how I like it. Have to clean it up gud tonight before I return it tomorrow. I like everything except the rotten finger grooves. Fucking annoying. I'll definitely try to pursue a Gen5

Really considering a P30L right now. It's between that, an SP01, a p99, p2000, usp and a tanfoglio in 10mm. Just want a fun to shoot full-size handgun, and have a little bit more to spend than usual.

Those were the old 10 or 12 round mags that came with the HK45c iirc. They looked ugly, but they were your only option for having more than 8 rounds in the USP45c and HK45c.

A mag with an extended nameplate isn't a bad thing when you use quality, low profile parts. A 20+1 handgun is also fun as fuck.

>I've always wanted a tok. 7.62x25 is like the working man's 5.7.

Honestly if I could do it again I would have gotten either a Zastava pistol or one of the oddball 9x19 Tokarevs. Zastava M57's have a full-size guide rod and captured spring. The short rod and as-is spring are kind of annoying. Zastava's also have the 9-round magazine and a slightly longer grip. That's not such a big point since a TT33 can be more or less forced to use a 9-round Zastava mag, but they don't really like it.

>>38533807
>Is there a particular model that's more desirable?
Avoid the FNP45, it has some bugs. I can also say from experience that I had an FNP40 in my hands one time and it just didn't feel right. I think the FNX45 is the only one worth bothering with, personally.

It's fun, but it's really not meant to be a pistol. I'm going to throw a tailhook/ adapter on it. I would say there's better things out there if you aren't planning on a brace or SBRing it, but in that form it really shines.

I like it a lot, nice size, clear glass, and the body really disappears for me at least with both eyes open. Definitely like it more than the aimpoint I used to have size/weight wise. I got mine for 300 new so I might be biased though

IIRC streamlight had considerably more lumens and more importantly lux with the HL than the surefire does with the x300u(800 vs 600) for a while there, surefire announced just a few months back that they were introducing a 1000lu WML though so that might be changing. Frankly haven't watched a side by side of their new offering and the HL to see which one actually provides better illumination at a distance, lumens is less than half the story.
>>
>>38534312

>>38534464
I just checked again and they don't sell it as a kit. You have to buy the x series specific switch seperately. Which is pretty gay. You're in it for $400 with the HL kit is $160 on amazon. And the HL has more lumens. The only reason to go surefire apparently is the alleged increase in durability.

Is this a normal USP with an aftermarket barrel and sights to make it a tactical?

I remember reading on HK forums years ago that guys who used cans on their stock USPs ended up fucking their guns up pretty badly. One guy got an HK tech on the phone and he confirmed that the USP tacticals shipped with a special recoil assembly (guide rod and spring I think) and that using a can with the standard assembly was a big no no.

>>
>>38535943
I think it's one of the factory threaded barrel USP-9's, I don't know why but HK make the 9mm's lately without the tactical slide marking.

And you are correct about the guide rod difference, the guide rod affects lock up timing and the standard one is not to be used with a suppressor.

Also I am focusing on the front sight. The problem comes from my glasses. They correct my astigmatism at the focal plane but because they reduce my depth of field, everything outside what I'm focusing on becomes more blurry than without the glasses, and those things outside the focal plane are not corrected.

If I focus on the front sight without glasses the target might blur slightly but circles turn to indistinct footballs. If I focus on the front sight with glasses the target blurs dramatically to the point where I can barely center the sights the large blob. I frequently have to shift focus between the front sight and target to make sure it's centered, but that's nearly useless because a shot has to be broken at the exact correct mome

tl;dr It's a big fat mess.

I actually live in Texas, I got the AZ permit because it's good in Texas and I was in the military at the time and getting out. I just dropped the one page app, fingerprints, $60, and my dd214 in the mail and got a carry permit. I'm going to get the Texas one now that I'm almost done with school and have more time to actually take the lameass class.

P22 gift anon here. Still gonna save up for my shield. Heard a shit ton of mixed reviews on th p22. Seems like people either love it or despise it mostly due to feeding issues. so for fun im gonna take it to the range when i get it in a few days and shoot a couple hundred rounds of various 22 ammo i have out of it (some extremely old) and record the stats on jams and such. This will be a brand new p22 out of the box so im interested in seeing how it goes.

Neither do high end HKs or Sigs. But you know what else the US Sig P210 doesn't have? A $3,500 price tag.

Why would it matter anyway? Hand fitting and a tight barrel bushing do more for accuracy than lugs. Unless you're trying to imply that a Sig X-Five, USP Match or Hammerli P240 aren't accurate. In which case neighbor you cray.

>>38538820
Send it to Vortex for replacement, it's obviously defective. They will replace it without question. Don't think you have to find something else because you got a defective one.
http://www.vortexoptics.com/content/vip_warranty

Also the $350 first gen RMRs still flicker so no to that, and the new ones are $650 so extra super hecka no to that. Just have Vortex replace your thing.

>Dual illuminated
The tritium is bright enough to work in moonlight, however the flashlight is enough to mostly drown out the dot, as not enough light gets back to the fiber optic collector indoors. Iron sights co-witness though. I haven't had any other problems with weird ambient light, even standing in shade and shooting into sunlight isn't a problem. Like with an ACOG, more often than not the dot is too bright.

I think the dual-illum could benefit from a double shot of tritium though, just to minimize the above situation.

Just got done taking the USP9 out for its first range trip. The new front sight was dead on, so I didn't fiddle with the rear sight adjustments.

My 25 yard target suffered a lot because the indoor range is dark as fuck towards the back, and they didn't have any colored targets.

The trigger work I did paid off. My DA/SA transitions and SA double taps were very similar.

The fiber optic front was easy to pick up, but I imagine it'll be better in the daylight than in the comparative lighting of an indoor range.

Pic is roughly 5 rounds each target shot cold standing freehand. I'm ashamed of the 25 yard group.
Guy next to me was shooting a 1911 at 7 yards and throwing up watermelon sized groups.
