I think changing the lyrics to our anthem was a step in the right direction, but it's not progressive enough!

Changing "in all thy sons' command" to "in all of us command" was a good start. I like that it's gender-neutral, and not so male-centric.

But we still have a problem with these lyrics:
>Our home and native land
Not all of us were privileged enough to be born here. Our beautifully diverse & welcoming country has people from all over the world living here.

>God keep our land glorious & free
Not all of us believe in a god(s). It's unfair to the non-religious. It also seems to subtly imply the Biblical God, in which case it's not fair to our Canadian Muslims, Jews, and believers of other faiths.

I'm sure Prime Minister Trudeau will make things right.

I still say in all thy sons command, fuck them.
>>
>>38533084
What's weird is that they could've more or less achieved the same thing by reverting to an older version.

The very first English version of O Canada says
>with leaves of red and gold
in place of "in all thy sons' command."

Even our anthem is
>a fucking leaf

The French version of O' Canada is objectively superior.

>O, Canada! Land of our forefathers,
>Thy brow is girt with glorious flowerlets.
>For thy arm knows how to bear the sword,
>It knows how to bear the cross.
>Thy history is an epic
>Of the most brilliant exploits.
>And thy valor, tempered with faith,
>Will protect our hearths and our rights!
>Will protect our hearths and our rights!

Yes. Fuck us law. People will tell you oooh noo you cant do that! Its illegal!. Yea just like how exporting military gear, body armor and firearms components like mags and kits from russia is prohibited(on their side) but everyone does it anyways with little to no problems. As long as you arent trying to export actual firearms and prohibited ammunition like API, or AP handgun ammo or tracers youll be fine. And if your such sketch bag of a person than you get stopped and searched in the whole 10min you have to be in the us then thsts a you problem, most border interactions should be a smile and a nod and a brief "ah i just here to do[insert extremely common reason to travel to us].
Or just pay someone who frequently crosses the border to pick it up. Afaik when coming INTO Canada, you deal with csba, and you only deal with CBA when going into the us, i could be wrong but thats what ive been told by people who cross the border lots

/nogunz/ here. Got a quick question about the PAL acquisition process.
I have Aspergers. Not just the typical 4chan brand of autism, but legit, diagnosed by a psychiatric professional. I've gotten help for it and its mostly gone away, rarely sperg out anymore. I hasn't affected me at all lately and I've been successfully living independently.
Will this show up on my background check or at all prevent me from getting my PAL?
>>

>>
>>38539231
Have you been treated in the last 5 years?
If so you have to say yes to the mental health question. It should not be a problem get your doctor to write that he feels it's safe for you to possess a firearm. Also be ready to maybe have extra restrictions I know one person had domestic violence issues and they just forced him to store firearms at another PAL holders house. I think he also needed to shoot with another PAL member and only at ranges.

>but Anon, that’s illegal!

How much of a red pill is legalization going to be for genpop?

You could go to jail for years, have your life completely broken, you family and relationships ruined, become financially destitute and contract aids from some Tanto who decided to rape you regularly in jail for the duration of your stay, etc. for simply possessing some amount of the same substance that after Oct 18 is going to be sold to people by the government itself and will be used on the street in front of cops with no repercussions.

“It’s the law!” — how can this argument still be made with any degree of authority? Something was evil and horrible and so destructive to society and our youth that people who dealt in it had to go to jail and be branded criminals for the rest of their lives. Now it’s suddenly not bad and evil and destructive and the government itself will sell it to you. There is no better larger and most current example for the masses to see that for the most part we basically have arbitrary laws that have no fundamental principles to them.

Don’t fuck with other people’s property or exert undue violence on their persons is basically all the law we need, the rest is arbitrary bloat of an overgrown system. I know I’m likely preaching to the choir here, but just wanted to point out that while the firearms community has known laws are arbitrary toys of tyrannical toddlers in power from experience, the masses are witnessing it right now with weed on a much larger scale and I’m curious if it’s going to wake them up to this fact at all and have any effect on our society or not.
>>
>>38540180

>>
>>38540180
>will be used on the street in front of cops with no repercussions.
It's been like this for years. Check every 420 celebration for every major city. Also at my highschool we had several police officers come out and chat with people openly smoking out of bongs and pissers. No arrests were ever made.
>>
>>38538550

>>38540180
>dude weed
>Hey, I used to be against weed being legal aside from legitimate medical purposes. But my portfolio manager invested in the upstarting marijuana industry and made me lots of money.
Literally the only effects legalization will have. If that lesson was to be learned by our populous at large, it would have been learnt with through alcohol prohibition. People are dumbasses and have short memories. Alcohol prohibition should have taught greater society how ineffective prohibitive laws are and how they typically foster more problems than good. The fact that people screech "ban [anything]!" is proof as a populous we don't learn shit.
>used on the street in front of cops with no repercussions.

That’s not the point, yes 10-20 year buffer of normalization before legalization, ok
That doesn’t negate the issue that you COULD go to jail for using it and some did and that people who dealt in selling it did go to jail for decades, and today the govt will be the one selling it and it’s perfectly a-ok

>>38540255
yeah alcohol prohibition is a good example and you might be right with that one
>>
>>38540379
>COULD go to jail for using it
Yeah but it only ever really happens when they need to stick a charge on someone for whatever reason. I know plenty of people who were caught smoking by cops on any day of the week and the cops just told them to fuck off and do it at home. I don't know anyone who has ever been charged.

Because the Liberals promised to "reverse some provisions of C-42" as a campaign promise, and with them going into election mode after a few years of Trudeau continually making an ass of himself and dragging his feet on every campaign promise; they need to rush to show substance before the election. I mean...they did fucking say they were going to do this. Why the fuck people are surprised about it is beyond me. They don't care about our votes because very few gun owners will vote for them in the first place.

Laws are still going to be proposed and sometimes passed regardless of advocacy groups. Look at the retarded laws about guns being passed in pro gun states right now. Antis couldn't get much traction passing anything nationally, but locally, even in states with large NRA presences things are being chipped away. NGO's are not magic, and if a majority government doesn't give a shit about their opinions and advice, that's the of it.

If the anti-gun presence in Canada is so powerful how did the long gun registry get nixed and how did C-42 come to be in the first place? The government of the day didn't give a shit about their opinion and had evidence the LGR was a waste of time and money. The 858s and Swiss Arms decision being reversed came about because the RCMP put on their ATF hat and decided to retroactively change their opinion on a few guns and the Cons, having a very slight modicum of respect for us, overrode their decision. And now the football is being carried by the liberals. Hmmm I wonder why C-71 is a thing?

Uhh.. do you just need to win an internet argument or are you trying to actually participate in a discussion?
how old are you? I don’t mean that as an insult, the answer to that question will be the answer to why you personally don’t know anyone that has ever been arrested for smoking weed; but never mind that, since anecdotal experience of one person is not a measure to go by anyway.

The fact that something is a criminal offense and a cop could arrest you for it and chose not to doesn’t make that law better, it makes it worse: it means it’s arbutrary even at the level of enforcement, to the point where being arrested or not for it could depend on whether you were a scared “yes sir” teenager or a beligirent asshole, on the weather that day or on how much shit the officer had to deal with from hobos and junkies prior to encountering you.

Why are we even debating smoking and personal use, the point is better illustrated by possession of a specific amount of the substance and the sale of it: it used to be a horrible crime that can get you 10 years in jail and everything that goes with it, and now the govt itself will be engaging in it and you can buy as much of it from them as your burnout self pleases

>>38540710
please read the above paragraph.
I think the bigger point is being missed in the minutia of personal stories and examples. scales and bags aside, there was an amount that at one point could clearly send you to jail and today will be considered your personal stash with no repercussions. if you were caught selling or transporting it, you would go to jail, today it’s about to become perfectly acceptable and the government itself will be getting into the business in a big way in many provinces as well as federally
>also, potheads don’t vote, Turd got elected by the CBC and their vital “Harper is literally Hitler” campaign that basically got people to vote against Harper more than to really care who got in instead

Just trying to point out how much of an idiot you sound like by saying that legalization and government sale of weed is going to "red pill" the general population. It won't, you should know that. Everyone knows the government is after your money, weed isn't going to be the tipping point for society to realize that.

don’t see any suggestion that it’s “going to” just a question what everyone else things and a statement that it is in itself a red pill, not that it’s going to be taken by anyone or that it’s going to work. you need to read more carefully and not get so personal and involved with an argument so fast. introducing a topic for discussion without necessarily making a claim for one side or another isn’t exactly a novel idea, that’s all that post was.

The lord helps those who help themselves.

Buy these. Buy a maglight adapter, buy a maglight. And you're set. These are avaliable in Canada, don't wait till it's banned.

I'm gonna try to get an annular cutter and machine down the muzzle of my 22, and thread it for my solvent trap. I'll post how it goes.

Fugg didn't mention I have an SVT that's at a gunsmith right now

98$ what the fuck for ?
>>
Canada is trash, a corrupt shithole run on immigration, welfare and public sector unions.
>>

The recoil is honestly a meme. The gun is actually slightly heavier than the 91/30, so for me, felt recoil is about the same, if not more mild. That being said the bolt and trigger are leagues better than my 91/30. It also rattles teeth, and shoots a huge fireball even in the day. Got it at a gunshow a couple months ago for $350. 10/10, super fun rifle.

>sue the cops for not letting you break the law
how drunk are you already? it’s barely afternoon!

>>38549479
a pump action 12Ga maybe?

>the bottom boxes are crushed
REEEEEEEE! this is why you need styrofoam or at least cardboard inlays inside the box to give it some structural strength!
>>
How rare are concealed carry licenses in canada? Does anyone here carry for defense?
>>
>>38549734
They are super rare, and only available if you have previous documented attempts on your life, work deep in bear country, and get vouched for by your company, or work in an armored money car.
>>
>>38549706
>>the bottom boxes are crushed
Only 2 of them look slightly crumpled, anon
>>
>>38549734
Depends on your race

Although you may not get a “license”
The court will turn a blind eye
>>
>>38549734
Almost no one has one that isn't a wilderness ATT. If you want one you have to have a lot of money and strong police connections.

Rattled teeth

When you going to post fuck toys ?
>>

The recoil is not bad at all, but it is a very loud rifle. For the time being, I don't have a dragon dildo collection
>>
>>38549664
In the US they're half the price, but then again so are magazines.

Welcome to Canada, enjoy your stay.

>have to order online and ship or pick up from store in person
>can’t buy it in store
enjoy your special delivery or a welcoming committee at walmart

unless there is some store where you can walk in and buy with cash, even if it’s not an issue today, tomorrow someone will catch on and a place like walmart will gladly give up all of your info
>literally paying to get on a special shitlist
>inB4 if you have a PAL you are already on the shitlist; this one is clearly getting you on a more special VIP shitlist
>>
>>38550323
>being this retarded
You seem to have a very high outlook on our government and law enforcement.

There is no vip shit list, if you have a pal you're on the only shit list there is. Don't worry you're safe, being a noguns and all.

No it is not illegal. For example, you can buy AK-47 parts kit that has everything except the receiver in Canada. The issue is, you probably won't be able to import a CETME or G3 kit from the US, since most parts are ITAR or otherwise controlled.
