What's the passable limit for shoulder width?
>>
as wide as I can hug
which is pretty wide
>>
>>8963018
shoulder width can vary
circumference is a better measurement
>>

I'm 17'' and my shoulders look pretty wide, so probably 16'' or less
>>
shoulders is literally a taboo subject for mtf
>>

there pretty much is none, its all proportions. If you want to try and figure out whats the tallest someone can be to pass and then derive a reasonable shoulder width for that person you can do that and find the "passable limit" but I''m not doing that.

Let's say thee are 2 trans girls. One is 5'5 but had 15.5 in shoulders and the second girl is 6'0 and has 16in shoulders. I would think the taller girl would pass better because they are better proportioned (not factoring hip width of course).

I think the passable limit can vary greatly given enough height and wide enough hips to balance out the shoulders.

Mine are 17" and I've always thought they are GIGANTIC, until I found that I'm actually not that bad.
So I'd say 17-18" is the limit.

>can compare shit to height and weight
>can't compare to bmi
>shoulder width is related to muscle size

I'm a little shocked at how stocky/large some outlier women are. I'm 5'11" 22" bideltoid and if I took HRT and lost weight I might shrink to 21". But proportionately some of those outlier women are almost as big me currently. That one 48cm wide by 155cm tall tank is the same as me proportionately. Although she might have proportionately huge hips to balance it out.

Those women are probably obese, so they probably do have enormous hips
>>

I think mine are pretty wide but I just have a lot of muscle on my neck and shoulders and none else on the rest of my body so I don't really know.

>tfw 6'1'' and 18" shoulders
>>
Just measured:

>5'11
>16" shoulders
>13.5" diameter hips

Can I make it? Will HRT add enough fat around my hips to level it out?
>>

>16" shoulders
Biacromial or bideltoid?
>>
>>8970514
Bideltoid? I took the widest possible measurement, to the end of the ball of my arm. D2 in OP
>>
>>8970518
See here >>8967616 then
>>
>>8967616
fucking 52 cm 5'10 kill me, and im skinny as a twig
>>
>>8963018
Probably depends on your head size. It's still unpassable if you have smaller shoulders but a gigantic head. Just dress to draw the eyes away and accentuate other areas.
>>
>>8970506
how are you measuring, are you using a tape measure across each furthest point or are you using it parallel to your body so that it visually coincides with the outline of your hips.

Both measurements give me completely different results, for example I get 22 inch shoulders bideltoid if i use a tape measure across my body but if I just do it placing a ruler perpendicular to my body then I get 17 inch shoulders.
>>
>>8970671
>placing a ruler perpendicular to my body
meant parallel
>>
>>8970671
I stood up against a wall, marked a line straight back with a pencil from each shoulder/ hip, then measured the distance with a tape measure
>>
>>8970518
>>8970524
width measurements are only 2d
circumference/girth matters more b/c that's how your body will fit in a shirt, and cis fem sizing is small
>>
My chest is 13" wide, and I'm 5'11". is that gonna be passable or should I just die now
>>
I have 16" wide coat hanger shoulders (cis girl). flowy sleeves help
>>
>>8971857
but you still have all of the other fem attributes so you wont get misgendered
>>
>tfw normal range shoulders for height but fucking 13.5" hips jdimsa
>>
i had someone measure me: 17inches (height 5'7")
it's apparently 50th percentile
hips are as broad.

why do i still feel insanely dysphoric when i look at my body / shoulders? they got wide as fuck in the last 2 years before hrt. can't believe this is average... i feel really bad about that part.
is this bdd? sorry for venting..
