Does /m/ remember Blue Submarine No 6/Ao no 6-gou? Submarines are /m/ if tanks and planes are /m/, right?

I remember cute fish. Hello, Cute fish.
>>
>>15661417
I like mutio as much as the next guy, but I dunno if fish are /m/....
>>
>>15661818
Fish that pilot giant crab mechs are /m/
>>
>>15661417
Cool anime.
Got it from Suncoast back in the day.
>>
I watched it on a whim years ago. I don't remember much about it beyond that fish waifu and the sexy, sexy soundtrack.
>>
fuck this nigger
>>
>when your CGI ages so much it becomes the art direction itself

I wouldn't say it aged well, you can see where Gonzo was sorta held back by the technology of the times, but I don't think it aged that poorly either, because it's just so visually out there because of how deep it went in 2D-3D hybrid animation.

It's definitely a work to experience for both style and historical relevance.

yeah, gave me a fish girl fetish.
>>
Remake where Hayami wins Mutio when?
>>
>>15661417
>Submarines are /m/ if tanks and planes are /m/, right?
Nope.
>>
>>15665637
there are mecha vehicles in the show though
>>
>>15666723
Moreover, if Spacefaring vessels are /m/, then Submarines are too, since they're designed around most of the same principles (but with the pressures of their operating environments reversed).

This

yes, they're mechanical you retard

The show did feature crab mechs that walked on land right in the first scene.

Can't slaughter humans unless you can leave the seas after all.
>>
>>15661417
Was great. Great music too
>>
>>15661417
Bald.
>>
>>15662033
I still don't understand what the ending was supposed to be.
>>
>>15667825
>Great music too

This is pretty much the only reason I bother to remember Blue sub 6. Mina Soko ni Nemure is pure sex.

Me too. Man this takes me back.
>>
>>15661417
>Submarines are /m/ if tanks and planes are /m/
They're /k/.
>>
>>15669353
/k/ is about the stupid sexiness of young urban males, Anon. Everybody knows this.
>>
>>15668290
It's been years since I last saw it, but I'm pretty sure it was about giving up your desire for revenge. That's why the shark dude lost his shit, his father figure told him to make peace with the humans and his whole life was based on fighting them.
>>
I wish Yukana was still around, her voice does things to me
>>
>>15670606
The shark dude lost his wits because he was a daddy's boy and basically a kid. As far as he was concerned, he had lost everything when his beloved father passed on.

He went "fuck this gay earth" and quit.
>>
>>15674855
His father was pretty hands off
They should have explained more about humans who were modified
>>
>>15661417
I SUCKAN REMEMBER BLUE FUB SIX!
>>
>>15677404
So was Gendo. Still fucked up his son royally.
>>
>>15662145
This was cutting edge at the time, and they were definitely proud of it. It always did stick out, I admit. It was one of the series they showed syd Mead when he was hired to design the turn A Gundam, they wanted him to see some then-modern anime.
>>
I've never watched it. Is it really a meme like I've heard or is it actually somewhat decent?
>>
>tfw an okay at best miniseries is the only aquatic based mecha series around
The ocean is the most underrated setting in all of history.
>>
>>15679031
>the only aquatic based mecha series around

The Mars Daybreaks and Aqua Knight. Get your underageb& on the way you.
>>
>>15679040
Also Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, I heard.
>>
>>15662145
You want to see CG becoming the aesthetic in a Gonzo show, you watch Gankutsuou.

That show would look wildly different if you made it today, even if all of the staff and art design were the same.
>>
>>15679042
>>15679040
I forgot about that Go Nagai manga about submarine mechs. Somebody storytimed it recently.
>>
>>15679040
Yeah, but those are pretty crap, so bringing them up is pointless.
>>
>>15679226
No its not, considering >>15679031
>>
>>15679226
The other dude never asked for quality and it's not like Blue Submarine was any good outside of the animal ear women either.
>>
>>15679226
Watch Nobunagun, I guess? It has heavily mecha-themed versions of the abilities of historical figures and features deep sea diving mecha when they go underwater to fight the series aquatic-based aliens

It was fairly decent

Yes. It had the second best short-haired androgynous girl named Kino of all time.

Why would they create a fish waifu and not do anything with her? Not enough doujins either

Range Murata's art is really amazing. The way he draws scenery is stellar and his human figures are pretty amazing as well.
