>it's a "sunrise is so autistic they have to rationalize redesigns as a new in-universe model" episode
Why do they do this? they should just stick to making toys and stop meddling
>>
>>16172320
The autistic fans would freak out if they didn't.
>>
>>16172320
It`s actually cooler that it`s an upgraded Zaku 2,rather than just a badly shoehorned re-design.
>>
>>16172320
The parts standardization excuse was kind of cool though since lack of standardization among all of Zeon's mobile suit lines was a serious problem.
>>
>>16172320
How many times have they done this, exactly? Once or twice at the most? You really didn't need to make a whole thread for this.
>>
>it's a "anon is so autistic he has to make threads to complain" episode
Why does he do this? He should just stick to lurking and stop making threads.

It makes sense to me. The rick dom 2 uses the same helmet as the Zaku Kai type B so lore wise >>16172361 checks out
>>
>>16172320
The 0080 designs were too advanced looking for OYW anyway. Izubuchi did make them predecessors to CCA and Zeta designs though.

I agree.

The GM Command looked too distinguished and advanced compared to the run of the mill GM
>>
>>16172320
We've had the GM, Zaku, Gouf, Dom, Gelgoog and Z'Gok sets done numerous times already:

Original Okawara set
Izubuchi 0080 set (Gouf appeared in MS Era and SD Gundam Mk-IV)
Katoki 0083 set (Gouf Custom is Gouf Ver.Ka, no Z'Gok though)
RF Mars Zeon
Gundam X equivalents
Seed Destiny equivalents
The Origin redesigns

Meanwhile, in an alternate universe...
>it's a "sunrise is so cheap they keep reusing old gunpla molds even after redesigning the Zaku" episode
Why do they do this? they should have just made this a new in-universe model if they were going to keep selling the old models.
>>
>>16172676
If you're going to count the Jenice and Septem from AWGX, you should also count the Dinn and Ginn from SEED, the Death Army from G, the Tieren from 00, and maybe the Graze from IBO.

>distinguished and advanced compared to the run of the mill GM

Isn't that the idea though? GM Commands are reserved for aces so it makes sense that they're more advanced and distinguished from the blocky normal GM.
>>
>>16173400
Yes, that and databook fluff tells us that the frame used by the GM Command (and suits based on it) was developed somewhat independently by Augusta base and also manufactured there. They were higher spec'd for the time but in my mind they were maybe not as compatible with the rest of the EFF inventory, so as time went on they got shelved as the main line of GMs developed toward the GM II and III.
>>
>>16173400
what's the use for GM customs?

super aces?
>>
>>16173432
GM Custom became the standard for aces a few years after the OYW
>>
>>16172619
>>16173400
>>16173449
One ace dedicated MS is enough really.

Post 0080 certainly overflooded OYW.

Maybe learn the difference between Bandai and Sunrise and who actually in charge of the toys before making this kind of thread

Sunrise is owned by Bandai, my dude. Orders often come from above.
>>
>>16173535
so the point still stands.

what's sunrise going to do? say "no" and be out of the job?
>>
>>16173535
Even so the job assignment and expertise between them is still clear; Sunrise for the animation and story while Bandai made the toys and merchandise. And OP clearly mixed up Bandai and Sunrise role
>it's a "sunrise...
>they should just stick to making toys and stop meddling
Sunrise meddling in what? Themselves?
>>

>Call it a new model.
>Now we can keep selling the old you while we sell a new toy!
Didn't take a marketing genius to figure that one out.

At least it has quite the differences from the regular zaku II, even if it's just in the details.
And speaking of the regular, which one it is?, what's the difference between the
zaku early, intermediate, late production type, the F, the F2 and such?
>>
>>16175257
It took me a solid minute to realize that the Gundam wasn't ripping out the guts of Bask Om and that it was actually giving him wine from a wine-skin.

Will watching Zeta clear this up or is this just some inside joke?
>>
>>16175257
F2 has a higher thrust output
>>
>>16175311
And beefier mid-section armor.

The Kai has twice the thrust and accelation, and is about half again as fast at a run.

Gelgoog jager, Kampfer and Alex NT-1 performance are too high for one year war MS.

RX-78-2's performance was too high for One Year War mobile suits.

I forget, but did any of the standard 0079 TV designs appear in 0080 at all?

>>
>>16176371
i don't think so. everything's updated iirc.
>>
>>16176371

The Wikia says the Jukon class submarine appeared in both, but I don't recall it's appearance in 0080 at all. It presumably appeared in the opening scene given there's no other scenes set on Earth that I recall, but it might have been sufficiently different to be noteworthy. I doubt it, since even the Musai in 0080 was made a variation given the different aesthetic, but it's possible. The Rick Dom II seems similar enough to the regular Rick Dom to count in my opinion, since it's not nearly as different as the Zaku II Kai is to the regular Zaku II or Z'Gok E to the Z'Gok, but not everyone will agree and it's still listed by Bandai as a different unit so it hardly matters.

Yeah, Cyclops Team launch from a Jukon at in the opening scene. I don't remember it in 0079, though, but the 0080 version may have been a minorly redesigned.

Boone, the guy that was commanding Miharu in Ireland was based out of it.

Yeah, 0080 version is fairly different looking. I'm surprised it doesn't have a different name

Yes, it's a wine skin. It's popular among Basque people. That's the joke.
