IT'S A GUNDAM!

Isn't it just a cameo? Most people won't know what it is and won't bother looking it up when there's a bajillion other cameos that they actually know to fixate on.
>>
Gundam looks extremely out of place in that picture.

I can only recognize the two robots and Tracer not being on the poster really says something about her role is nothing but a vague bait to attract brainlets.

I'll take normies over people clutching their purses because "the normies are coming, the normies are coming".

>>
>>16253763
Has Spielberg even had a hit in the past 20 years? He did that adaption of The BFG recently and that was a colossal flop. His name has lost pretty much all the marquee value it once had. Any buzz I see about this movie seems entirely manufactured and not like genuine excitement. The only people I can see this appealing to are the types with entire shelves dedicated to Funko Pop figures.

Yeah I love when David Foster Wallace, James Joyce, or Thomas Pynchon openly reference the most popular Chinese heroic bloodshed director as though it's something "hip" to know about such an accessible name, adding in notes about how guns are autoreloading themselves, in a passage that doesn't bother to explain the action by its own merit, instead copping out by having the audience imagine the scene by recalling a scene from The Killer (when, really, no novel should have fucking shootout scenes anyway)

The director refused to understand the story Haldeman was trying to write, so Robot Jox ended up being a pretty terrible movie (that should still be watched by anyone who has the chance).

Years later Haldeman salvaged a bunch of ideas from it and wrote Forever Peace.

So... it all worked out, I guess?
