>Umpteen Zeon insurgencies
>Hardly any Titan remnants

Couldnt they at least have given them the spotlight in Gundam Narrative?
>>
>>16680621
The Titan leadership were secret believers in Controlism so it was just another Zeon really
>>

Ere-ism, I meant

Zeon sells. It's literally as simple as that.
>>

Isn't it canon that a load of ex-Titans joined up with Axis Zeon?

That conflict is human nature, and we can never get away from it

The Titans were just a way too obvious suppression measure that gradually got way out of hand, retroactively speaking.

Mangas are a totally different thing.

If it didn't happen in the anime, it technically isn't canon. But it's also anime, "canon" isn't really relevant.

Because they all went elsewhere. There's Cyclops from Crossbone Dust, but they're just "descendants" of the Titans.

>>16680642
>a load
We just know that some did. We also know that many went back to the Federation and got prosecuted or persecuted. Either way, the Titans were almost entirely wiped out, I wouldn't say there was even a "load" of them left.
>>
>>16680738
>If it didn't happen in the anime, it technically isn't canon
Wrong. If it contradicts the anime, it isn't canon. That's always been the guideline.

A bunch of them were PMC in Johnny Ridden.

It really wasn't. It was mainly ex-Feddies, like Blex, Henken and Emma. There were a few Zeeks, like Char and Apolly, but they were in the minority.

>-Titans - Complete Victory-

>The Titans led by Jamitov Hymen won the battle and put an end to the era of constant warfare.

>Jamitov, who dismantled the corrupt Earth Federation government and gained tremendous power, begins to act toward his true purpose.

>「Earth Revitalization Plan」

>A new human management system that involves forced relocation of the Earth's inhabitants.

>For the Titans, this is an act of betrayal, and loyalty to Jamitov is greatly strained.

>However, Jamitov succeeded in minimizing dissent by thoroughly pursuing opposition forces.

>As such, human beings disappear from the Earth...

>Under this strict management system, efforts to revitalize the Earth's environment are promoted.

>The souls of those who were pulled down by gravity have been set free.

>Mankind, who entered the vast frontier of the universe, was about to enter a new era of evolution.
>>
>>16680633
This sounds like the bullshit Conservatives use to blame liberals for the atrocities committed by their side of the political spectrum.

Canonically, the majority of the Titans joined up with ReZeon (AoZRb).

>Zeon won't be the villain.
This, pedowood can't have that their big daddy israel being tied with any antagonist side in their movies.
>>
>>16681627

They can't, because the Titans need something to react to and be a measure against that you can at least vaguely justify at first. You could just go "there was a war and now the Titans are policing the Sides", but then you're actively skipping an interesting thing that fans especially will want to see.

>>16683410

Beyond sounding similar to Zion the two have absolutely nothing in common, and if they were really that worried about it they'd just change the name.

Sure, why not. The name doesn't matter in comparison to the ideologies, actions, leaders, commanders, uniforms, units etc Call 'em the Titans and keep everything else identical while calling the Titans Zeon or Zion if you wish.
>>
>>16683423

Not really, you could go the Gundam Wing route and just say the colonies are oppressed for no real reason. Granted that isn't as interesting, but then what would you expect from Hollywood

Of course to get that you have to "dismiss" Bask.
>>
>>16683834
Of course. Bask was a shithead who was responsible for most of the Titans' atrocities. Jamitov even remarked on it in ANT.
>>
>>16680621
The closest I can think of is in one of the Crossbone manga there was a faction of "Titan Successors" that used new versions of the some Titan MS, like an Assimar who's legs where a 2nd cheese wheel, or a GM that rode on top of a Hambrabi.

It was near the end, Jamitov is speaking in private and says his actual wish is for everyone to leave earth and live in space.
>>
>>16684249

When's that then? I went looking and couldn't find any such scene scanning quickly through episodes to find scenes of him. Not that that's definitive, since I could have easily skipped over a scene; I'm just wondering where it is if I did.
>>
>>16685128
In the triple cross episode with Haman, Jamitov, and Sirocco meeting on the Gwadan.
>>
>>16684228
Wait, those Purus were in charge? I assumed they were slave warriors like the other Puru clones.
>>
>>16685587
Sirocco also mentioned it was Jamitov's goal in the same episode where he talked about the matriarchy he wants to create.

Jamitov mentions it himself in one of the Zeta movies.
>>
>>16685625
That's him saying that he's just in his gassing of colonies because if he doesn't do it, more colonies would be destroyed and it would turn into the desert.

There's nothing there that implies he wants to ship everyone to space.
>>
>>16685592
Nope. They're all clones of Alicia Zabi.
>>
>>16685587
There is no such scene.

That said, Jamitov's ulterior motive is canon. There's no point in questioning it when Tomino included it in the novelization of Zeta and it's been referenced so many times and hinted at in ANT.
>>
>>16685760

Yea, I was just about to post; I went looking for that scene and at no point in that episode does he mention anything of the kind. The very closest is Scirocco talking about how space shouldn't be ruled by people whose souls are pulled by gravity.
