PUT YOUR HOOVES DOWN. HOOVES WHERE I CAN'T SEE THEM.
Also your body is suppose to hover horizontally, not vertically.

What is this? What the flying horse fuck is this? Is this how a bird or any feathered animal who isn't a natural telekinesis floater sits like? Is this how they normally pose in the air? all straight up and human-like, like Magneto?
>>
THIS. IS HOW A NATURAL HORSE STANCE LOOKS LIKE. THIS IS HOW A NATURAL OVERALL MAMMAL POSE LOOKS LIKE.
>>
Nowadays the way they gesticulate their hooves around isn't inward, it's outward, but it's also not used for pointing to things, they use it to gesticulate like a bunch of pseudo-intellectual humans do when they can't stop moving their fucking hands around while talking.

Their body language can also mean they're overly pompous and show-off like they're acting, but they're in a context where they're acting on stage. They're doing it in normal everyday activities just like a dumb insecure geek or a geek full of himself. It looks ridiculous and pathetic and reeks of the opposite of an intellectual person.

Verify the number of hoof movement they use and the style of movement and then compare it to season 1.

This would be the most infamous scene by my standards of comedic human posing.

That gif is from Return of Harmony.

This one is from Newbie Dash. The punching is less comedic because in this context she's punching the air to encourage herself. But it's still not horse-like.

>>32934423
They are not real horses though, they're cartoon ponies and can hover horizontally whatever fucking way they want. Seriously, stop with all these season 1 circlejerking threads.
>>
Nevermind the obscenely weak action just like in Canterlot Wedding where you'd think they're filming some poorly done 3 Stooges tribute, these horses no longer use their legs to kick things. I haven't seen some good hind leg action since Rarity kicked the Manticore. Dash used to constantly kick the clouds to cause thunderstorms.

No. :) *sticks tongue out*

Also for some reason after S1 they love elongating the necks like it's a good thing. Some even keep it permanently (alicorn Twilight and nuLuna)

You have no idea what the weight distribution is on a pegasus.
>>
>>32934521
Now, often times the pegasi would stand up when they had to, but their weight distribution was completely different and more natural looking.

Anything past S1 loves making them as flat as a plank board. They don't stick their flanks out, they don't have bellies, the bastards are made out of 1 segment and that's it. The mark of a poor artist who can't make appealing body poses and weight distribution.

I can't find a gif or webm worth a damn and I don't have the tools available.

Anyway this is how a horse usually lashes out with its front hooves.
>>
Human like poses in earlier seasons were offset by the horse noises and other horsey things, and often 'forgiven' as simply looking too alien or confusing if they used an antomically correct horse pose.
Without the noises and horsey things, the human like poses are just signs of laziness.

S2-S8 loves making them lanky and skinny as hell like they're all Shaggy ponies. (Except maybe for Twilycorn who's fat as a cow)

S1 doesn't make them chubby, it makes them look well fed. They actually have curves and not slabs of fat upon fat without any angularity.

But this is a discussion for design, namely temporary design when the storyboarder+animator draws the character in a specific way without following the spreadsheet exactly.

The most infamous human pose in S1 is done in Dragonshy by Lyra which is off set by everypony else posing like a horse, especially the horse right next to Lyra.

As you can see she still retains her belly like normal common sense anatomy would dictate. If it was S2-S8 she'd be completely flat and as weird looking as one of Fosgitt's art.

Trivia wise it wasn't BonBon who sat next to her like most fanart depicts, the pony sitting next to Lyra is called ShoeShine.

S2-S8 doesn't look healthy overall. They even make the designs look uglier and bone-ier.

Nice projection, also OP is clearly not happy with the animation has been done.
Not like it really matters, it doesnt, I dont get why people seem to go nuclear over such mundate matter like the animation of little colourfull equines. It's ridiculous.

This is how memes naturally take place. Not this shit where they just force and push 95% of the content full of references and easter eggs and then expect every single one of them to catch on for no real reason.
>>
>>32934423
Body language time! Remember when these ponies used to act like affectionate mammals? this isn't behaviour limited to horses or even dogs and cats. This is typical mammal behaviour. Mammals are naturals are emotions.

This scene from "Putting Your Hoof Down" takes on a whole new meaning when you realize that anatomically, a horse's front hoof is analogous to the human middle finger.

They also walk on 3 legs sometimes, real ponies don't.
