Really? Which part? The Tiagra Groupset, the Mavic rims on Ultegra hubs, the Easton bars and stem or the mexican Alu frame?

Damn that's actually pretty nice. Sorry for being a shithead anon. I was reminded of some memebikes that were around on some local classifieds because of the brand text.

I am aware that it's no Canyon Aero, but despite being a locally made Alu frame that looks like shit, that's heavy and sports quite a meme paintjob it actually rides pretty good.
>>1064678
>Sorry for being a shithead anon
No offense taken, buddy. I was genuinely wondering what could've made it look like a chinabike. I'm thiking of giving it an all matte black paintjob to get rid of the corny branding.

It is a lot different experience than on my 22 speed. It is a full body workout just to keep moving. The 12-13% segments are just painful, but the other side of the mountain is more steady at about 4-7% for 10 miles. In that case it is just standing up using mostly quads. It feels like a leg press machine.

>>1064643
Small cog in rear and small chainring up front. 39-15, not really a high ratio.
>>
>>1064758
i think he meant the hangar, which i just assumed was to aid chain retention on a sub-16 rear cog.
>>
>>1064765

Correct. Its a chain tensioner. The bike has a tiny bit of room with semi-horizontal dropouts, but the tensioner makes it simple.

Using a ~20-30mm conical spacer isn't slammed, also the mountain bike clearly has some regular spacers under it.
>>
>>1065676
Right thanks for clarifying. I thought those spacers were part of the headset. I.e. ones you wouldn't be able to get rid of without ordering a special part. The mountain bicycle I was unsure about but it still looks like maybe it isn't a regular spacer to me.

also just glued the tire back super with super glue and so far it's gud mang

Aren't you glad you outsmarted your LBS?

The best part; it can be assumed from the fact that you let your old bike literally fall to pieces that you don't even own the tools needed to assemble your new bike when/if it arrives.
>>
>>1066599
Why you gotta judge? My bike was in shoddy condition when I got it. I have all the tools, it's just not worth my time buying replacement parts.

Just got new wheel, tire, and brake on the front today, but my lever has too short of a throw to actually clamp down on the brake well. And getting a new lever might be difficult because the lever is built into the shifter.

Graduated from shitty MTBs with a shitty roadbike a few days ago. $20, hi-tens frame, stem shifters and meme brake bars.

Any tips for cleaning all of the sludgy greasy shit off the chain? I'ev got about 75% of it off with paper towel, but the rest doesn't want to go so easily.

Not a bad find for just $20.
As for the chain, I'd say just get a new chain, or use an old toothbrush to really get in there.
>>
>>1066990
thanks anon, RIP old toothbrush

also, There's a couple small spots of rust where the paint's been chipped, but I don't think it's anything structurally compromising(nothing near the lugs)

worth patch-painting?
>>
>>1066940
There's a disc brake on the back wheel.
>>
https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/6100619152.html

is it salvageable? worth it? I'd def move the brake to the back.
>>
>>1067006

I feel like 180 is a bit much.
and why would you move the brake ?

if you want a rear brake get one
>>
>>1067009
Sorry, migraine is fucking my thought process. I'd probably add a back brake, and replace that stupid Muh Lines finger brake with a pair of drop bar brake handles.
>>
>>1066992
Nah, just depends on how much you care.
You could just go at the spots with some wd-40 and steel wool or whatever, and then paint it back up. It's just a matter of whether or not you think it's worth the effort.
Not so bad for a first road bike, so you might as well put a bunch of love into it and ride it until you can't.

So my neighbour died this week, and they were cleaning out his hermit home, throwing stuff out, I asked if I could have his bike and they gave it to me. So... I own a Specialized Sirrus now. Looks better than my fuji sportif, maybe just one size smaller.

I honestly can't find jack shit info on what exact year it is or any other info on it
Can you guys help if you know, please?

There might be a way to look it up by serial number (on the bottom of the bottom bracket) otherwise you might just have to check bikepedia

>>
>>1067785

>>
>>1066672
This pic convinced me to slide my saddle forward past the stop line and I just had the most comfortable ride I have ever experienced on my bike since I bought the thing.
>>
>>1067883
The flex in the rails probably partly contributed to that, nice and comfy until the rails snap and something goes up your arse. If you really want your saddle that far forward then get a post with as much setback as you can and run it backwards.
>>
>>1067883
Ive been riding this bike in various different fittings and styles and have never had any problem running things further out than the "maximum line". Even when I first started riding at 342 lbs or so. With things like seatposts or headsets, obviously you still want enough purchase/coverage when you tighten everything down, but there is a little more leeway than you think

>>1067894
It's nearly impossible to get the right saddle angle when you do it that way, based on the seat tube angle, unless you've got a saddle clamp with A LOT of adjustability. Also you worry too much
>>
>>1067000
Back brakes don't work though, only front brakes work. How new are you?
