Ehhhh... the Rebuilt Pacifics aren't Q1-tier ugly, but then they aren't A4-tier gorgeous, so for me they're a kind of lukewarm middle ground. The boiler isn't that bad, and the plate wheels look quite nice, but the tender looks like it was built out of shitty cardboard and the smokebox door looks fat and bloated.

I have no problem with Thompson's BI, K1 or O1. his pacific's however were terrible compared to what came before and after. not to mention that rebuilding Great Northern in the manner he did wasn't necessary in the slightest, and the L1 could have been seriously improved by fitting the same diameter driving wheels as the V1/V3, rather than those of the K1
