Are there any ways or hacks to get legitimately cheap flights? Assuming the exact day/locations isn't important and you have months in advance?

Besides Skyscanner I mean.

If your based in the US, look for norwegian or Iceland air flights to europe. There are usually cheaper flights mid-week, sometimes as low as $350. I flew to London from Seattle direct last year for $420 with Norwegian round trip. I'm flying to Norway next week, round trip cost me $550 dollars from Seattle.

Once you are in Europe, RyanAir can get you anywhere you need for very very cheap. We are talking $50-$120 to other european destinations such as Paris, Rome, Oslo, Berlin, etc.

Just keep an eye out on google, check during Mid-Week, and try to fly out either on a sunday or monday and fly back in the early week, too.
