give me 10 reasons why i should/shouldn't buy 3k Civic or MX-3.
>>
>>18983592
i can't
>>
>>18983592
>MX-3.

fuck the civic, get one of these with the tiny v6
>>
>>18983608
This but watch out for rust
>>
My sister had an MX3. It was a fun car.

It would overheat, and the back windshield motor kept dying in its final years

MX3 with the V6 is hilarious.

Civics are great economy and actually pretty funny to drive so

Reasons 1-10:
It's not a MX-6
>>
>>18983839
>tfw only 2 MX-6s for sale in my country
>both are V6
>both are automatic
>only V6 Ford Probe is auto too
>>
>>18983846
First gen probe GT is best. Fuck a transverse v6
>>
>>18983846
I would honestly check to see if the Mondeo 2.5V6 manual would work with the MX-6 KL-DE engine
From what I hear they're very similar in design
>>
>>18983858
Wasn't the Duratec an entirely new design? I mean maybe they share the same bellhousing bolt pattern, but at that point it might just be easier to either hunt down a manual MX-6 or buy a manual MX-3 and put a KL in that.
>>
>>18983872
If the bell housing is the same, and everything else bolts up, it would actually be an upgrade because the G series trans (name?) we're temperamental and could break easily
If the MTX from the Mondeo/Contour fits it would be an upgrade or you could get the Mondeo ST/Contour SVT trans

Everyone knows AWD is for pussies.

>>18983846
Yeah, don't even fucking bother with the automatics, they are shit reliability wise.

>>18983849
Best for speed, 2nd gen is a better handling car.
>>
>>18983904
Apparently the Escort ZX2 G-series tranny is the strongest version and it should be a direct bolt-on swap, the MTX75 requires more custom work.

This is all from some fairly basic google-fu, though.

What is this? Crashbar for the engine?
>>
>>18983950
Strut tower brace
>>
>>18983950
Anti-lock steering alignment bar
>>
>>18983946
Huh, didn't know the G series was used in Zetec motors
What about a Focus ZX3 trans?
>>
>>18984050
Never mind, see you mentioned it
>>
>>18984050
Pretty sure the Focus used an MTX75 variant
>>
>>18983782
FWD is preferable for sub 200whp.
>>
>>18984063
No I looked it up and it is the MTX-75 so what you said about it needing mods to work still applies
But what about the Mazdaspeed Protege Manny, was it a G series?

2. 3k civic
3. 3k civic
4. 3k civic
5. 3k civic
6. 3k civic
7. 3k civic
8. 3k civic
9. 3k civic
10. Not GM
>>
>>18984103
All I've been able to find parts number wise is just for the Protege MTMAZ103, but that's only for the 1.6, what hooked up to the FS-DET?
>>
>>18984119
I remember reading the 6cyl MX-3 used a G-series unit and the 4cyl used an F-series transmission and both have different bolt patterns or something, you can't just swap them over.
I assume the 323/Protege/Familia uses an F-series unit as well.
>>
MX-3 is cooler but those things no longer exist, at least not here. 99% are rust powder, they were $500 cars 10 years ago. There's a few specially kept V6 but those are 5k not 3k.

I haven't seen one in forever, fucking Canada rust deaths.

I actually saw a v6 in Marshall va, but a week ago while standing outside my probe. we both locked eyes and did the 'bro point' at one another.

Near Rt. 17? I pass by there sometimes on my way to the valley

If a car has aftermarket headers, a pod filter, or lowering springs then you shouldn't buy it. Guaranteed signs the car has been thrashed.

Good luck finding a high spec civic that hasn't been.

Why do people keep calling these $3000 civics? A chassis is still $800. A used b18 is still going to run you $2,500 to $4,500. You are already over the limit before you even install anything. Or are you buying the $200 turbo kit from ebay for your 1.6L?
>>
>>18984276
that's the place yeah. I do my firearm trades in that town as a middle-point for inner city folks.
