And a zoom of Upper Yosemite Falls from the valley floor. Those are all the waterfalls I saw on my trip there, but hope to see more next time I go. Any recommendations for those who have more experience with Yosemite than I do? Anyone ever hiked to Illilouette Falls?

It was long exposure for more light, so the leaves in the pool were swirling with the current (intentional), and the leaves on the tree swayed with the wind (unintentional blur)

Neat. How difficult of a hike is it? Is that picture taken from the closest you got to the falls? Can you look down on the top of lower Yosemite Falls from the trail?

Abiqua Falls in Oregon, featuring columnar jointing. Good swimming, we saw a bunch of crawdads and a couple fish jump out of the water.
Interesting geology, looks pretty neat.
if all goes well im gunna have a new boot for this thread on monday! like a mile trail of water falls. should be some good ole' fashion leaf peeping too.
Sounds good anon, keep us posted!
Saw this one on my last loop. Caught lost cove, passed huntfish and up gragg prong. Sadly huntfish was infested with day trippers but still a good hike.

jog falls in pooinloo land

i fucking love this thread, is it bad to like waterfalls a ton? Something about how awe-inspiring they are.
My nigga. I took kids there for trips during the summer for work. It's such a well-kept camping area and trail system. Stone steps cut from the rock and finding newts and shit was cool as fuck, and it was raining hard off and on the last time I went, so the various falls were pumping water the whole time.
I think it's a pretty typical reaction to seeing something so beautiful in nature.

Cataract Falls, largest waterfall in the state of Indiana. God why does /out/ing here suck so much?
This is me kayaking over 22 ft high Big Kahuna falls on Canyon Creek in southern Washington. The Pacific Northwest has so many beautiful waterfalls, especially around the Columbia Gorge.

Hardly counts as /out/ with the dozens of 30' motorhomes everywhere at the campsite, but that's a damn impressive water feature.
