Norwegian checking in.

Just had our first snow in Tromso, snowed since yesterday and I went /out/ today. Had to wade through knee deep snow, but it wasn't packed firm so it wasn't too tiring.

Saw some reindeer and also tracks and shit from a moose, couldn't track it down though as it started snowing heavily when I came upon the tracks. Also, how in the fuck do you get a fire going with wet wood? Forgot my dry birch bark so had to try with wood shavings and birch bark I picked off the trees there, but it was wet as shit. Couldn't get a fire going to save my life.

Speaking as someone who has had experiences in American and European hospitals, you're delusional if you think the US has it better. I waited less than half as long, paid a tenth the price, and got actual attention from a competent doctor in Ireland when I went to get antibiotics for strep. Last time I had to go to the emergency room here, the guy next to me literally bled until he fainted while waiting for the nurse to come get him. I got questioned for a few minutes by a gross looking nurse, then the doctor came in to write me a prescription without even speaking to me. He also got the fucking diagnosis wrong, but the antibiotics worked anyway. This shitty experience cost my something like $300 even with my middle-tier insurance.
>>
>>1129398
the best hospitals and health centers and some of the most reputable physicians in the world are located in the US, if your average Joe has the means to access that kind of health care that's another discussion.

It's not uncommon to have surgeries delayed because services are on strike, drugs out of stock because the hospitals owe tons of money to their suppliers and so on here in Europe. Just because it's cheap or free (lol no, tons of taxes pay for it) doesn't make it good. That's why most Europoors with any decent wage always go to the private sector for treatment and diagnosis.

If you like +40% wage taxes, 150% importtaxes on vehicles, being ruled by sissy faggots in Kobenhavn, having overpriced postal services, incompetent public services, youth alcoholism and starting to have no go zones, then Denmark is perfect for you.

Although, in Jylland it tends to be better. Less faggots and more farmers. Nature sucks though. Brown heath, relatively flat land, and only tiny forrests.

except you one doesnt have to pay it, besides members of the Lutheran church.

>>
>>1139663
Nordic countries doesn't hate private property, it's not like you can just pitch a tent in someones backyard. You have to be a certain distance from someones home/buildings, and the "Freedom to roam" only gives you freedom to travel and camp in their forest/wilderness area. The land owner still decides who can drive on his private roads (these roads usually have a locked gate blocking access), hunt, fish in freshwater etc. and you can't do anything that makes a permanent change on their land, like cut down trees. And yeah, the land owner has to live with the fact that people go /out/ there but on the other hand he has the exact same right to do it on someone elses land.
>>
>>1139668
Another exception is that at least in Finland the land owner can also fence parts of his property for purely his own use(say for growing some berries, preserving some plants or trees, or for a temporal shooting range) even if they're far from his yard, but those areas must be of reasonable size.
