Greetings from the comfiest State on the eastern seaboard

Could anyone refill me on cool /out/ shit to do that's not obvious

How is the metal detecting/ fossil hunting / gem hunting scene?

Is caving cool?

Living in Erie now. Great for fishing and lots of natural shale if you're into fossil hunting
>>
>>1137456
Arrowhead hunting in freshly tilled fields is big by me.
>>

The West Rim Trail. 30 miles with some pretty good views.
>>
I live and work within Prince Gallitzin state park. It's pretty lit
>>
I'm in Western PA and it's literally wooded everywhere. Go find a nice patch of woods and camp. Maybe hit up Moraine State Park, lake Arthur is beautiful!

>In Philly

Wawa and cheesesteaks are the only good thing about this city

You tryna say
What you mean is
That Wawa right?
Wawa is better
So what you mean is Wawa is better than Sheetz?
Shiiiieeeet......
>>
Go into the woods, and you'll have a good time. PA is God's country. Hit bald eagle state forest, or the Tia, get a little drunk and enjoy it. Fuck these Philly faggots who've never seen a tree arguing about shitty gas station sandwiches.
>>
im going on a hunting trip near scranton tomorrow
anyone got tips?
any pedos i should be avoiding?

desu the wawas outside of philly are usually better and cleaner
>>
>>1138263
Did you grow up in the area? CH grad here.
>>
>>1144129
Any store outside of philly is a breath of fresh air. I always figured tourists are here to either see some dope ass pieces of history, or see how much dirtier our dirt is compared to wherever
>>
>>1144214
honestly. I go to Temple and everyone treats the streets like a big dumpster. Back home for break now though and I'm excited to go hiking
>>
>>1144210
Sadly no, I moved to the area and went to high school at Glendale.
>>
>>1144244
I have a friend that goes to Temple. She hates the city, I don't see how you can't really with all the litter and noise
>>
>>1144283
Litter is an issue, true, but Philly certainly has a fucking bedtime. (Literally, in that all bars close at 2AM)
There's a real peacefulness about walking around the city at night, doesn't even have to be terribly late. It's not that loud.

Anyone from around the ASF area?

Why not check it out
>>

I'm from Bradford, UK ;_;
>>
>>1144668
Point is philly sucks. Cities suck in general though imo
>>
>>1144711
No, Philly is awesome.
>>
>>1138263
How did you go about getting a job there? I've been thinking about trying to get in there somehow. I live about 10 minutes away.
>>
>>1144711
>>1144737
Living in Philly now, can confirm both that cities suck and the Philly especially sucks. Maybe it would be better with a vehicle, but as it stands there's no way for me to get innawoods. Had 5 days off work one day with no obligations, walked from 6 am til about 8 pm one day just to get to Wharton State Forest in NJ so I could spend 3 days camping before walking home, that's how badly I want out of Philly. Lease ends in 7 months...

Nigga, bike to 8th and Market, then take PATCO to Ashland or Lindenwold. Straight bike down White Horse Pike to Wharton and Batsto
