sidenote, this guy eyeballed me taking this shot, and ran at me threatening to "cut (me) and smash (my) fucking face in with (my) fucking camera"

When I shoot people like this, I hold my camera at hip height and walk past, changing ISO roughly by eyeballing the area - mostly just guesswork and hoping. But idk how he saw me take it, C'est la vie

Thank you anon <3
It's just a bit of a past time while I'm staying in london, I'm glad they pass as not TOO shit

Out of interest, what's the thing you dislike about the first pic? So I can improve

i like it OP, i say shoot more color but thats just me, anyone care to comment on this picture i took?
>>
>>3060855
OP here, I'm actually severely colourblind which is why I tend to shoot more B+W, but thats merely so I know the picture I think I've taken is the one I actually have if that makes sense?

I like your pic, would like to see more of the guy in frame as the bubbles draw your eyes away from him, cool capture tho
>>
>>3060849
Not that guy but I agree that the first one is my least favorite. Maybe because it's a photo of a photographer, but it feels kind of artificial, like she's striking a pose.
Most of your other photos do a really good job of being very natural, just showing average people going about their day, which I think is what streen photography is all about.
My favorites are
>>3060837 (the thing around his head and the "formality" of the shot makes this look like a portrait of a wounded U.S. civil war soldier to me.)
>>3060840 (amazing expression and head turn)
>>3060843 (not sure what happened to this guy but that expression and posture scream "I'm so fucking done".)
The other ones are good also but those three really stand out to me.

>>3060857
>I'm actually severely colourblind
Wow that's the most legitimate reason I've ever heard for shooting in B&W. You do a very good job of it, though.

>>3060855
I actually like that there's a lot of space above the guy's face, it makes his apparent joy more of a "discovery" since the eye has to move down the photo to see him, so you see the bubbles first and his reaction to them is the prize.
Great use of DoF also.
>>
>>3060855
Only good photo in the thread
>>
>>3061059
pessimist
>>
>>3060840
This one in particular, there is so much to look at and there is a whole lifetime story in the woman's face to be told.

The only thing that bugs me is the tension between the edge of the handicapped button and the lower edge of the frame, but given that the face above is grumpy, perhaps that's good tension.
>>
these all fucking blow m8. look at good street photo and try to see what you can do better
>>
>>3060842
Are people cool with you just snapping their picture?
>>
>>3061137
Usually they don't realise I'm doing it because I do it pretty inconspicuously. usually if people spot me it's just "lol ok", I'm totally within my legal rights if I'm in a public space so there's nothing they can do about it. sometimes you even get people who see the lens and strike a pose which is chill.
>>3060837
Was not pleased and tried to kill me
>>
>>3061128
If they all "fucking blow m8", at least be construtctive about it? post some of your own work and provide advice, no need to flex your keyboard warrior muscles I never said I was an artist
>>
>>3061142
He's just mad that he's beta and can't take street photos. I liked
>>3060837
>>3060834
>>3060839
>>3060842
>>3060843

>>3061137
The key like OP said is to be quick enough with it that it really doesn't offend anyone. The real key is that if someone vocalizes their issue with their photo being taken or it seems to of upset them just kindly offer to delete the photo.
>>
>>3061109
Yes I am

>>3061142
I'm not that guy but still agree with him. It doesn't take a street photographer to tell the photos suck. I could post some of mine and get roasted but who cares? Look at the best street photographs around there. They're full of imperfections but at least the don't have that awful bokeh.
>>
>>3060855
this is awesome
