I'm currently writing a research paper that focuses on identifying and disproving generalizations; one of those generalizations is that anyone can sell photography because of how easy it is. Can someone refer me to a source or article that disproves or at least describes the difficulties photographers face? Thanks in advance, pic unrelated.

Good luck trying to prove something that's false, selling any sort of art is easy depending on how much people like it, how is that a generalization?

33 percent of people dont think photography is art

The person who said this meant that selling your art is easy because just anyone can do it/ it's an easily accessible field of work. You and I know that isn't true; I can't just pick up a violin or a camera and provide people with high-end music or pictures.
